He orders Glasgow expanded, then begins work on a small church dedicated to St. Andrew the Fisherman near the docks. However, the site catches flame after one of the workers carelessly mounts the lanterns one evening. David, his guard, and five workers are caught in the blaze and perish.

Malcolm arranges a marriage between Angus of Lothian and his illegitimate sister Fiona. With the marriage the treaty with Lothian changes to a full Alliance. He then rides back to Edinburgh to attend his father's funeral. During the three-week trek, harsh snowstorms catch his party on the road, freezing the travelers to death. This puts Malcolm's young son, Duncan, as the King of Scotland. He quickly shows an excellent understanding of courtly motives and the ability to rule a large domain. He ships gold off to Flanders as part of a map deal.

Conelly remains vigilant in the viking bank with his 23 ships. No enemies show themselves. Morgan gains an economic Alliance from the Isle of Man. The Feudal Allies defend their respective regions.

Henry and three other leaders descend upon Devon for negotiations. A marriage is arranged to Prince Reginald, and the region agrees to economic tribute .William Adeline hurries through a Census, but is unable to complete the massive project in the little time he spends. However, time in the bedroom is very fruitful, with a daughter and two new sons joining the royal family. The War of 1119
(County of Flanders vs. Duchy of Lorraine)

Count Robert of Flanders, still bitter over Lorraine's destructive raids inside her borders, fumes and looks for a way to strike back. Word reaches him of a proclamation from the King in Paris:

His Grace Gaston the Duke of Lorraine and We, Philip, deo gratiae king of France, have concluded a peace agreement that will end the wasteful ravages of war between our two Most Christian realms. His Grace has agreed to publicly cede all claim to the lands of Nivernais to my lord of Burgundy and We of France, in Our love for Our lord of Burgundy, have agreed to publicly cede all claim to the lands of Champagne to Our lord of Lorraine. It is hoped that as God and nature permit, Our two houses will soon cement this commitment with the blessed sacrament of marriage. We pray you, therefore, you lords of Christendom, to give witness to Our oaths here today in the sight of almighty God to be forever peaceful with each other with one another's realms, interests and subjects.

Philip I
By the Grace of God King of France

This stills the count's hand for a time. However, when Lorraine fails to release Mathieus (who was lured into Lorraine and abducted on the premise of a food trade) he urges his nobles to initiate a war despite the peace accord. Eager to punish the Germans, they agree. Before the plans are fully cemented, Eduard of Utrecht crosses the border with 2100 Cavalry, raiding the region of Champagne.

[See: The War of 1119] Baldwin takes command of 10 light warships and begins a series of raids in Ireland. This angers the Norman delegation in Munster working an Diplomacy. Baldwin's poor combat ability, the fact that he has no ground forces, and the fact that he raids wilderness areas (Which the Civilized Flemish have difficulty in) makes the expedition tragic. Munster and Lienster see the crews of four ships each lost in the fighting, and finally Ulster sees the destruction of the force, including Baldwin himself. This leaves the Count without any children at the age of 61.

But the changes cannot be stemmed, and the momentum of the new religion sweeps Leon and Portugal both. He heads a force of 2000 in case conflict arises.
Three light warships are built in Lisbon, while four are constructed for the crown's ally Sandalia of Galacia (Who patrols the Bay of Biscay). The Sea of Portugal Rutter is inked for a future deal. The postal roads in Leon are upgraded to royal, facilitating merchant routes between Cuidad Leon and Lisbon. Feram preaches the teachings of Casilda in Portugal, but his efforts are hardly needed as the Religion sweeps through the region entirely. The national bureaucracy is stretched thin, and with no one actively ruling, Galacia slips from control.

Sancho returns to Leon with his expanded family, giving his father a brief respite with his grandchildren. One morning he awakes in a cold sweat, his dreams blurred but ominous. He is convinced he needs to visit the Pozo de la Sangre, that his son Saul is in danger if he does not. He, Saul and Sancho's wife travel to Salamanca to visit the well. They end up spending three years at the small church there awaiting a sign. Time passes, and Sancho sires two more children, but then news arrives from Leon. Sancho's daughter, Fella, suddenly became ill, first losing her sight, then perishing one evening to a high fever. Sancho is gripped in despair and mourning, convincing himself that Fella was the one he was warned about in his dream.
