General Information: (***= New)

Welcome to L27, I am your GM for this chaotic world of the dark ages; my name is Chet S. My Lords GM address is: Lords27gm@throneworld.com for orders and L27 stuff, and my L27 paypal address is: lords27gm/at/throneworld/dot/com

***RULES: Starting in Turn 52 we will be using the newest version of V6 rules, please download new order form.

*** I converted units from V5 to V6 at the END of Turn 52. I tried to note in the note section how much gold or nfp you got. Let me know if I missed converting any units.

The Build charts are in the newest rules in V6.x.x, see lords homesite or in your stat sheet.

Archery QR, Bowmen, Mounted bowman, Ballista (Tech 5 and up only), siege tower (Tech 5 and up only), catapult (Tech 5 and up only) will stay as they are optional units of L27. (Most of them are optional units of V6)

9.6.8.7 Consecrate Cathedral "A Cathedral can be established from a Monastery in a city so long as the Holy Site is within the Church's Action Range from the Holy City or another Cathedral." (Note: Cathedrals may only be built in cities.)

TURN FEE: $6.00 donation, and there is also a $6.00 donation for a startup fee for new players. Also I do not accept any personal checks as my bank charges me a $20 fee for any bounced checks that I deposit...(Cash, money orders & certified checks are ok.)

TURN BALANCE: Any nation that reaches a NEGATIVE BALANCE without making an arrangement with me will not be processed, and not sending orders in for three turns in a row (with or without payments and without a good reason), will force me open your country to a new player who has the time and money...

SWITCHING NATIONS: I have policy of no switching nations if your balance is in the red, until that negative balance is paid and you must also pay for one turn ahead so you're in the black.

***YET ANOTHER NEW ORDER FORM for Turn 53 and beyond (for v6.x.x rules) (old one used too much paper): Please use new orders form it has a for 6.x.x near the top, otherwise you are using the wrong sheet and need to download a new one from the file section of this site or at the L27 home site at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Lords-27/files/L27_Excel_orders_template.xls If you do not have Microsoft Excel, there is a free version of Office called OpenOffice that will open, edit and save Excel file at: http://www.openoffice.org/

E-MAIL ADDRESS & TURN NUMBER: Make sure your e-mail address is right in your orders, that is the address the program will send your stat sheet to... and that it has the right turn number too!

PLEASE Send me your orders in this ORDER NAME FORMAT:= L27_T53_NationName.xls

***CULTIVATION & COLONIZABLE REGIONS RULES [see 5.4.14.1]: Starting in Turn 53 a region after cultivation can not be re-colonized 1gpv (from 1 to 2, or 2 to 3) unless that region started at ( / ) as in empty. {NOTE: A region enslaved to ( / ) does not count as started as empty, but it can be re-colonized back to it old gpv}.

PROJECTS: Do not put new or old projects in the builds section of the Order form; they only go in the new or existing projects section (with ID number), and do not delete any part of the order form that you are not using, just leave the unused sections blank and do not add any page-breaks either, or write outsides the borders (your personal notes doubles the pages).

TROOP BUILDS: If your leader is in the region already or will be in that region to pick up your newly built troops, don't build troops for the garrison and then have him pick them up, just build troops for him (NOTE: he still has to go and pick them up).

MERCENARIES:Remember that you MUST specify a city where you are hiring the Mercs. Failure to do this will result in no Mercs and the money being lost. Also, mercenaries may not be hired for more than one turn at a time. PLEASE put where you are hiring any mercenaries AND how many you are trying to hire AND how much you are willing to pay per point of troops in your builds section on the order form. PLEASE put this information in the notes section at the end of your builds. Otherwise you will not get the mercenaries and the GPs bid on them will be lost. ALSO Mercs must stay with a Merc leader that comes with them (M543) and goes in their own army section.

CITIES & FORTRESSES: For expanding cities please put the name of the city in location, not the region it is in. Also for WP for fortress always put the region in for Location and for WP for cities always put in the city name for location. Last but not least in the item column in the build section do NOT write out fully what your building please use the codes, for example: your building 10 elite infantry, do NOT write "Build 10 elite infantry", instead write 10ei and do that for all units and also put no space between 10 and ei (the lords program reads it this way.). Also please use abbreviations in the rules for Intel commands (CI for counter intelligence, etc)

***CLAIMED & SHARED REGIONS & CITIES: These regions and cities that are claimed will be noted by a dot in your color, not a full color shading of the region, shared regions have both of the colors of the sharing countries in a striped pattern.

HEIRS AND PRINCES: Unless stated otherwise in your orders, when a King's male child comes of age he is promoted to Heir (if he has none, then grandson, then any male child in royal family). Likewise when any male child comes of age he is promoted to Prince if there is an opening.

PWBs: Please let me know if PWB are for a city or a region by putting a "c" or "r" in front of it like this: 10rPWB.

LEADER NAMES: From now on if your leader DOES NOT have a name he or she gets NO action...

***LEADER (& ARMY) ACTIONS & MOVEMENT: You must state your leaders actions (A, AL, R, Rule, Etc) and their AP cost (and extra ap put into it), and their movements (all the regions traveled through) and movement AP cost, you cannot say go to a region and vanquish my enemy. You can say follow another leader's orders, but the other leaders orders must be spelled out!!! (Otherwise any vague orders will not be done, as I don't have the time to do it for you.) Note: It costs leaders and armies an extra ap to cross an uncontrolled border, if you don't put it in than I will penalize you 2ap.

NEWSFAX BLURB: If you have the time, it would help me write the newsfax if you write a sentence or two or even a paragraph, and/or a summery on what your country and its leaders are trying to accomplish during the turn...Please put newsfax Blurb in your orders, not in the e-mail as I print out your orders, I do not print your e-mail it was attached to.

MAX TAX: is 1.5 in Turn 49 and beyond, as the world gets darker and resources become scarcer.

***TRADE CAP: is now 75% of total income (which affects only the large empires) as the world gets darker still and trade become harder and more dangerous as merchant ships and caravans are being robbed or are disappearing without a trace.

SHIPS: Must end the turn in a port, if not in a port they lose 10% the first turn, 20% the second turn, 30% the third turn, etc (also you should have two leaders with a fleet so you don't lose part of it if the leader dies)...

HC (Have Children): can only be combined with RULE and ADMINISTER in L27, otherwise it's a separate action for your leader.

FLAGS: BTW I could use some more flags as over half of you don't have one... (No flag, no country, just joking...lol)

MAX FIELD FORTS PER REGION: Field Fort units may be built in any controlled region. Field Forts built in Allied, Economic Allied, Feudal Allied, Tributary or Non-Paying Tributary region belong to the region, not to the `national' government (but can be used as `national' garrisons and still require support costs to be paid, where applicable). The maximum number of Field Forts that can be built by a position in a region is limited to:

(GPv of the region +1) x (Siege QR/2) x Control Status Tax Multiple (Note in L27, if result is zero, then a region can have a max of 1 field fort, as long as you control it)

Fractional forts round up to 1. Zero forts remain zero. The presence of a Field Fort in a region adds a +1 Movement Modifier to any enemy moving through the region.

NOTE: Any region with over the Max in Field forts, the extra Field forts will be converted to Infantry.

RUTTERS TRANSFERRED: You need to list all the rutters that you are transferring in your notes section of your orders in order for them to be transferred (so I can copy and paste), or none will be transferred.

MAXIMUM STATUS FOR A REGION: I will enforcing the max status for a region by religion and by terrain located in tables 2-21 and 2-22 on page 22 in rule book 5.10 starting Turn 50, please let me know in your orders if any region's status needs to be fixed.

THIN GOVERNMENT: If your nation is suffering from thin government, all regions and cities that are not at friendly status will have a revolt check starting Turn 50...

NAVIGABLE RIVERS: Rivers with hash marks are non-navigable in the hash marked area except for trade (routes, and internal & fishing fleets), canals and unmarked parts of rivers are navigable by any size ship...

TRANSPORTS (or Cogs): If transports built in build section are to be used for MSP, please put 10xt MSP in the build column, thanks.

The Empire of the Sun (Nippon)

Shinto | Seafaring |Tech 4
God-Emperor Tatshushi of the Golden Throne of Amaterasu the Sun-God, Exalted Lord of the Seas.
Diplomacy: Cheju Do [+8 yfc]
Imperialism: Built 288 light war ships. Cheju'Do 50%BH, city of Satsuma 40%BH, Tsainan 15%ST, Kiangsu 10%ST, Kagoshima 80%BH, Anhui 40%ST.

The great and majestic God-Emperor Tatshushi ordered that his Imperial navy be strengthened, so he could tighten his hold upon the seas; he was enraged that the Buddhist-Honan-Hu could come up with a fleet to rival his own. All through out his Empire was the sound of many workers building scores of warships. Meanwhile missionaries were sent to counter the Buddhist corruption of Nippon lands, and some were even sent to Buddhist lands (two can play this game...). Elsewhere a lone Nipponese assassin was exasperated, he might have killed the Black Dragon Emperor, but alas if only if he could find him. Also a new leader with a large shipment of gold for the Tatars disappeared with the gold without a trace and the even the Intel corps failed to stop him from making his getaway...

The Japan-China War [727- ?]

After over thirty years the war had died down so much that many thought that it was over. That it had become just a footnote in the annuals of history. The only worth while news that happened was that the Nipponese navy on react intercepted a Buddhist-Honan-Hu fleet of equal strength and while the sea battle was a stalemate, they did manage to stop those barbaric Buddhist-Honan-Hu from completing its raiding mission of Nippon, with the navel engagement causing only a few minor losses on both sides. Sadly the Buddhist Primate did die on the voyage because he was so feeble.

Diplomacy: Tangchou [t], Ningsia [f], city of Shaolin [f],
Imperialism: Finished the change from clan to Feudal society, and was still working on the change from Agrarian to open culture, built many tons of PWBs for a region, and trained 6,200 HEC. Parhae was already 100%BH, Anshan 25%BH, Silla 45%BH, a Black Beast moved from Liao-Tung to Hsuing Nu, another Black Beast moved from Zvoron to Khungari.

The mighty Emperor Tuoba Xiang Ri ruled with a wise hand and had many of his leaders go forth on diplomatic missions to try to reunite his people. He also continued the process of rebuilding his army to better defend his Empire. Meanwhile in one of the Empire's main regions many burnt and scorched farmlands were reseeded and damaged public works were rebuilt. Within the Empire many Chinese wondered if the war was over, as they got on with their lives...At the Capital a grand celebration was held during the month of July when the Emperor's son came of age and he was proclaimed Heir by the Emperor with many displays of fireworks...

Emperor Lui Chen ruled and added to his growing family with the birth of two more sons. He also promoted his eldest son to Heir when he came of age during a grand celebration. There was serious talk at the Imperial court about quarantine, as an outbreak of Bubonic Plague in the city of Chiangning had ravaged the city killing thousands. The Emperor also ordered a fishing fleet built in order to combat the famine plaguing the Realm, but many thought that just one fleet would not help much. In the news there was a report that a leader was killed by an angry mob while preaching in the region of Kiangsu urged on by a shadowy figure.

The Khan Tartarus the Terrible was told by his sage that the stars foretold a name change for him, so he changed his name to Kerasen Kha-Khan. He also followed his sage's advice to send out scouts to find any static hordes. He then paid a visit to the region of Yenisey with all his troops and retainers and its lord quickly agreed to ally with him. Before he left for Yenisey, he had also sent out his allies to loot and enslave some regions, and a couple of them ran into the new non-static "Great Mongol Horde" and both were soundly beaten. After 5 years one of his leaders never returned from investigating a nearby dead city, and a payment of gold from Nippon never showed up as well.

The Hunan Empire

Buddhist | Civilized | Tech 4
Hu Xi, King of the Hu, Son of Heaven, Protector of the Enlightened, Emperor of the Middle Kingdom, Lord of Golden Dragon, Father of the Han died in 757, his heir Hu Ying Er succeeded him.
Diplomacy: Korat [p], city of Kshatriyapura [p], Miao Ling [t], Hainan [-un], city of Dong Feng [oc], Pat'Ang [-un],Hmong [pt], Preikuk [pt], Surin [pt],
Imperialism: Finished royal road from Guizhou to Kweichou, built walls higher for 7 cities, and trained 47,600 troops mostly assorted cavalry. The Hu sent some foodstuffs to the Buddhists. Also merchants built a royal road form Hunan to Ghangde.

While Emperor Hu Xi waited for one of his leaders to join him, he suddenly fell ill and dropped dead at age 67, his leader arrived the next day to take command and finish his late Emperor's orders for him (to attacked Korat and pacify it). Back home the Heir entered the capital and was crowned Emperor upon word of the old Emperor's death. The late emperor's plans consisted of having a pair of leaders attack into Champa with a force of almost 30,000 elite cavalry, while one leader DP the region of Miao Ling, and another took command of a navy of 80 ships to help the Buddhist and Honan deal with the Japanese fleet.

The The Hu vs Champa War [746 - ?]

756:

In April of 756 the Champans start things off with a Champan army of 9,000 troops (half were mercs) led by Bishop Tri Sauravarman, it marched into Siam and liberated it; afterwards they ended the year by liberating Nampung. At almost the same time an Asamakara-Sauras fleet and a Rajput fleet began raiding the Hunan coastline causing much devastation. Afterwards all was quiet until July, when the Sirivijayan navy landed 26,000 troops led by Prince Kanak unopposed on the Hu island of Hainan and by year's end they had the island firmly under Sirivijayan control, and plans were drawn up to assault the city of Dong Feng and it 5,000 heavy infantry Hu defenders. Meanwhile an army from Palas consisting of 42,000 troops led by Lord Bramisha took over the region of Padishan and first defended Palas from there, and then a year or two later reacted from there, during which time it crushed a Hu Merc army of 5,000 that had invaded its territory.

757:

In April Sirivijayan Prince Kanak led his army on a bloody assault against the city of Dong Feng, and although the leaderless Hu defenders made him pay for it, the city fell before the end of the year. Meanwhile back in Nampung, Champan Bishop Tri Sauravarman and his army spent the next two years defending the region, but the crafty Hunans didn't strike that way. A huge Hu Army of 102,000 led by Lord Li Xiang Jing awkwardly crossed the river during the middle of the night into Korat and crushed a way smaller leaderless Palas army there, and by year's end they had easily taken the city of Kshatriyapura too. In June another Hu Army led by Prince Hu Xiao (and another leader) numbering about 29,800 heavy elite cavalry stormed over the mountains into Hmong, it easily destroyed a pair of forts there (surprisingly there were no Hindu armies ready to react to it). By Year's end they advanced into Preikuk dealing with 10 lightly man forts which again they had no problem overcoming. In the North a Palas Army of 14,000 troops led by Prince Nagabha invaded the Hu region of Pat'Ang and with no effort took control of the undefended region, the army would continue on into Chiennan next year. The Kali's finally showed up after a long journey from India. A Kali army of 14,000 mercs led by Bishop Aidan of Bu arrived in Laos in mid-June and liberated it and by year's end another Kali army of 8,200 troops led by Archbishop Timur had liberated Lampang.

758:

In April, the huge Hu Army of 102,000 led by Lord Li Xiang Jing awkwardly crossed back over the river into Nan Chao and went on react, upon heard of the Pals invasion in the North, it broke camp and headed North to meet the Palas invaders. They caught the invaders in Chiennan and pinned them against the mountains and massacred them, a very few Palas made it back to Pat'Ang, and the Palas Prince Nagabha would bloodily perish under Hu swords. The Hu army led by Lord Li Xiang Jing would return to Nan Chao by the end of the year, ready to react again. The other smaller Hu Army led by Prince Hu Xiao finished up in Preikuk and ended up in Surin by year's end.

759:

The Hu Army led by Prince Hu Xiao in Surin become confused by his orders and spends months trying to decide what to do. The Prince (a good general) finally decided that he is to avoid regions recaptured by the Hindus and continues on to his next target of Khemer. In June his army of 28,000 strong clashes with a Champan Army of 10,000 troops led by Lord Shan Singh (an average general) that was dug in and defending Khemer in 24 forts, both armies have the same amount of battle assistance, but the Hu's had an army of all elite units. The Hu army wiped out the Champan army after a well fought battle and its leader barely made it to Phan Rang with a handful of troops. The Hu army only lost 4,000 troops in this engagement.

760:

The Hu Army led by Prince Hu Xiao in Khemer assaulted the city of Angor and took it with only minor losses, then the army broke camp and headed back north. Champan Bishop Tri Sauravarman and his army of 9,000 troops (half are mercs) had just returned to the region of Champa when he set off to liberate the former Champa region of Mison, but they were driven back with minor losses by Tonkin Overlord Tri Utvadilya and his army of 28,600 strong.

Primate Qi continued with his grand plan of building the Buddhist fleet into the largest fleet in Asia, but died before he could see his plan completed. He fell victim to a bowl of some tainted soup at the age of 61. He had again joined with his fleet commander and had headed east this time to raid the Nippon lands, but he perished during the five year voyage, the fleet commander kept the fleet on course and returned his Primate's body home. Another leader predeceased him in 759, he was found dead with some strange marks on him, and his passing left a good size army in Yen leaderless.

His Heir was supposed to be by his side, but he suffered a mid-life crisis and spent much gold from the treasury to hire many scholars to help him write the Mahavairocana Tantra. Meanwhile Princess Mahinder was married to Ally Salwar of Satava and so he became a Prince and the region became friendly to the Empire. Elsewhere the silver tongued diplomat Trinesh worked his magic to convince the Empire's neighbors in beautiful Kosala to join the Empire at tributary status. Meanwhile some unknown force encouraged the region of Vengi to revolt. Diplomacy: Maghada [a], Korat [-un], city of Kshatriyapura [-un], Padishan [pt], Patang [pt], Pat'Ang [p],
Imperialism: Built PWBs for 5 regions.

Emperor Harsha stayed with his home guard ready to defend his borders. He kept hearing disturbing news arriving about the war effort: In the beginning of year 756 in Korat a dark presence was felt in the Camp of General Mahendra (sole leader there) and the General started bleeding from every orifice and was dead before dusk. Word of this spread like wildfire throughout the army's camp, then as night fell strange lights appeared overhead and mass panic ensued and a formidable army of 35,000 was no more and the worse of it was that none made it through treacherous mountain passes back to Palas. Elsewhere another small army of only 14,000 troops led by a Prince dared an attempted to strike into Hu itself. In the royal court there was of course much was talk and rumors that spread throughout the capital that the troublesome SE that had been plaguing London had Emperor Octavious (and his wife) assassinated.
