Welcome to L27, I am your GM for this chaotic world of the dark ages; my name is Chet S. My Lords GM address is: Lords27gm@throneworld.com for orders and L27 stuff, and my L27 paypal address is: lords27gm/at/throneworld/dot/com
***RULES: Starting in Turn 52 we will be using the newest version of V6 rules, please download new order form.
The Due date stays the same, newsfax results are in the file section. (I'm only just proofreading the final)(but I might push the due date back a week)
At this point I will be converting units from V5 to V6 at the END of Turn 52 so you will use the same units on your stat sheet for Turn 52. I just don't want you to build any more old units. (You can build new units)
DO NOT CONVERT YOUR OWN UNITS!
The Build charts are in the newest rules in V6.x.x, see lords homesite.
Archery QR, Bowmen, Mounted bowman, Ballista (Tech 5 and up only), siege tower (Tech 5 and up only), catapult (Tech 5 and up only) will stay as they are optional units of L27. (Most of them are optional units of V6)
9.6.8.7 Consecrate Cathedral "A Cathedral can be established from a Monastery in a city so long as the Holy Site is within the Church's Action Range from the Holy City or another Cathedral." Primates may disband existing Cathedrals in regions for full GP and NFP, which can be used for other Sites and Projects (but not mobile forces or units, or field forts).
At the end of Turn 52 any cathedrals in regions will be downgraded to monasteries with GP/NFP used to build them put into savings. No moving of Cathedrals out of the region they are in, but to make it less unfair if there is a city in the same region that does not have a Cathedral then I will allow you to switch (move what was in the city to the region and Cathedral into the city).
Furthermore for one time only during Turn 52, I will allow you to build a city in a region with a Cathedral that didn't have a city and make the switch (just to keep your network going) during the same turn. In the event both region and city have a Cathedral, then the region Cathedral may be switched with the nearness city that has a Monastery. Just make a list in your notes section of the switches (or build and switch). NOTE: No list means they will not switch and will be downgraded to monasteries.
PLEASE NOTE: I did not make this change, my guess is that Primates were unbalancing the game, any questions ask Thomas Harlan.
TURN FEE: Starting in T50 is back to $6.00 donation, and there is also a $6.00 donation for a startup fee for new players. Also I do not accept any personal checks as my bank charges me a $20 fee for any bounced checks that I deposit...(Cash, money orders & certified checks are ok.)
TURN BALANCE: Any nation that reaches a NEGATIVE BALANCE without making an arrangement with me will not be processed, and not sending orders in for three turns in a row (with or without payments and without a good reason), will force me open your country to a new player who has the time and money...
SWITCHING NATIONS: I have policy of no switching nations if your balance is in the red, until that negative balance is paid and you must also pay for one turn ahead so you're in the black.
***NEW ORDER FORM for Turn 52 and beyond (for v6.x.x rules): Please use new orders form it has a for 6.x.x near the top, otherwise you are using the wrong sheet and need to download a new one from the file section of this site or at the L27 home site at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Lords-27/files/L27_Excel_orders_template.xls If you do not have Microsoft Excel, there is a free version of Office called OpenOffice that will open, edit and save Excel file at: http://www.openoffice.org/
E-MAIL ADDRESS & TURN NUMBER: Make sure your e-mail address is right in your orders, that is the address the program will send your stat sheet to... and that it has the right turn number too!
***Send me your orders in this ORDER NAME FORMAT:=L27_T52_NationName.xls
PROJECTS: Do not put new or old projects in the builds section of the Order form; they only go in the new or existing projects section (with ID number), and do not delete any part of the order form that you are not using, just leave the unused sections blank and do not add any page-breaks either, or write outsides the borders (your personal notes doubles the pages).
TROOP BUILDS: If your leader is in the region already or will be in that region to pick up your newly built troops, don't build troops for the garrison and then have him pick them up, just build troops for him (NOTE: he still has to go and pick them up).
MERCENARIES: Remember that you MUST specify a city where you are hiring the Mercs. Failure to do this will result in no Mercs and the money being lost. Also, mercenaries may not be hired for more than one turn at a time. PLEASE put where you are hiring any mercenaries AND how many you are trying to hire AND how much you are willing to pay per point of troops in your builds section on the order form. PLEASE put this information in the notes section at the end of your builds. Otherwise you will not get the mercenaries and the GPs bid on them will be lost. ALSO Mercs must stay with a Merc leader that comes with them (M543) and goes in their own army section.
CITIES & FORTRESSES: For expanding cities please put the name of the city in location, not the region it is in. Also for WP for fortress always put the region in for Location and for WP for cities always put in the city name for location. Last but not least in the item column in the build section do NOT write out fully what your building please use the codes, for example: your building 10 elite infantry, do NOT write "Build 10 elite infantry", instead write 10ei and do that for all units and also put no space between 10 and ei (the lords program reads it this way.). Also please use abbreviations in the rules for Intel commands (CI for counter intelligence, etc)
***CLAIMED & SHARED REGIONS & CITIES: These regions and cities that are claimed will be noted by a dot in your color, not a full color shading of the region, shared regions have both of the colors of the sharing countries in a striped pattern.
HEIRS AND PRINCES: Unless stated otherwise in your orders, when a King's male child comes of age he is promoted to Heir (if he has none, then grandson, then any male child in royal family). Likewise when any male child comes of age he is promoted to Prince if there is an opening and I don't forget to check.
PWBs: Please let me know if PWB are for a city or a region by putting a "c" or "r" in fount of it like this: 10rPWB.
LEADER NAMES: From now on if your leader has NO name he or she gets NO action...
LEADER (& ARMY) ACTIONS & MOVEMENT: You must state their actions and their AP cost, and their movements (all the regions traveled through) and movement AP cost, you cannot say go to a region and vanquish my enemy. You can say follow another leader's orders, but the other leaders order's must be spelled out!!! (Otherwise any vague orders will not be done, as I don't have the time to do it for you.) Note: It costs leaders and armies an extra ap to cross an uncontrolled border, if you don't put it in than I will penalize you 2ap.
NEWSFAX BLURB: If you have the time, it would help me write the newsfax if you write a sentence or two or even a paragraph, and/or a summery on what your country and its leaders are trying to accomplish during the turn...Please put newsfax Blurb in your orders, not in the e-mail as I print out your orders, I do not print your e-mail it was attached to.
MAX TAX: is 1.5 in Turn 49 and beyond, as the world gets darker and resources become scarcer.
SHIPS: Must end the turn in a port, if not in a port they lose 10% the first turn, 20% the second turn, 30% the third turn, etc (also you should have two leaders with a fleet so you don't lose part of it if the leader dies)...
HC (Have Children): can only be combined with RULE and ADMINISTER in L27, otherwise it's a separate action for your leader.
FLAGS: BTW I could use some more flags as over half of you don't have one... (No flag, no country, just joking...lol)
MAX FIELD FORTS PER REGION: Field Fort units may be built
in any controlled region. Field Forts built in Allied, Economic
Allied, Feudal Allied, Tributary or Non-Paying Tributary region belong
to the region, not to the `national' government (but can be used as
`national' garrisons and still require support costs to be paid, where
applicable). The maximum number of Field Forts that can be built by a
position in a region is limited to:
(GPv of the region
+1) x (Siege QR/2) x Control Status Tax Multiple (Note in L27, if
result is zero, then a region can have a max of 1 field fort, as long
as you control it)
Fractional forts round up to 1. Zero
forts remain zero. The presence of a Field Fort in a region adds a +1
Movement Modifier to any enemy moving through the region.
NOTE: Any region with over the Max in Field forts, the extra Field forts was converted to Infantry.
RUTTERS TRANSFERRED: You need to list all the rutters that you are transferring in your notes section of your orders in order for them to be transferred (so I can copy and paste), or none will be transferred.
MAXIMUM STATUS FOR A REGION: I will enforcing the max status for a region by religion and by terrain located in tables 2-21 and 2-22 on page 22 in rule book 5.10 starting T50, please let me know in your orders if any region's status needs to be fixed.
THIN GOVERNMENT: If your nation is suffering from thin government, all regions and cities that are not at friendly status will have a revolt check starting T50...
NAVIGABLE RIVERS: Rivers with hash marks are non-navigable in the hash marked area except for trade (routes, and internal & fishing fleets), canals and unmarked parts of rivers are navigable by any size ship...
***TRANSPORTS (or Cogs): If transports built in build section are to be used for MSP, please put 10xt MSP in the build column, thanks.

The high and mighty God-Emperor Tatshushi ordered his army of doom to be rebuilt and made stronger. He also ordered Princess Sayo to remarry the son of a Marianas ally after the father died. Elsewhere not enough Mercs were hired to defend the region of Sikhote from the infidels of the Buddhist Temple, and pirates attacked a pair of islands to the south which the Nipponese navy reacted harshly to. As year 755 drew to an end, the God-Emperor was pleased upon hearing how his fleet defeated the Pirates and exclaimed “I am truly lord of the seas”.
The Buddhist army looted and preformed regional genocide on the Nippon region of Sikhote after defeating some Nippon Mercs force that showed up there (by themselves, and with only half the mercs it wanted to hire as their bid for the Pagans help was out bided). Elsewhere the Pirates attacked a couple of Nippon’s southern islands and enslaved the inhabitants and lay claim to the remains. The Pirates also had a run in with the Nipponese fleet just as they finished enslaving the inhabitants of the Marianas, the Nippon's fleet was a little larger, but it had no troops, the Pirates ships were a little lighter but were manned by 12,000 xi and exi. It was a closely contested sea battle and the Nipponese finally drove off the Pirates with losses of about 40%, the Pirates high-tailed it out of there with losses of about 50%, and the deaths of 2 of 4 leaders. But for some reason their heavy ships screened their lighter ships while retreating so most of the Pirate’s light ships got away.
Grandmaster Chewi was ready to assist one of his leaders and Samurai forces if there were any invasions of Nippon. The Grandmaster also ordered some more rebuilding of the samurai’s forces. Sadly Master Kwanto who was freed from his prison cell, died of heart stoppage soon after returning home... Meanwhile ten score of missionaries targeted Horan regions with some success.

The mighty Emperor Tuoba Xiao Ri renamed himself Tuoba Xiang Ri and ordered the Empire’s armed forces rebuilt as he return home to the capital to rule. On the way home he barely survived an attack by a Nippon Assassin. Before the Emperor returned home he left behind orders with a leader named An Tai Hua to attack to make trib the region of Parhae with his troops, the leader did and then returned home to return the troops to the Emperor, unfortunately the leader died the next day of his battle wounds. Meanwhile the Japan-China war had hit a lull; the Japanese were quiet, too quiet…While many wondered if the war was over…
[See Japan-China War [727- ?] for details]
Emperor Lui Chen declared angrily that the raiding must stop and ordered a massive fleet of over two hundred warships build to end the raids. Elsewhere missionaries to Japan failed miserably and a leader preaching in Kiangsu was barely able to put a dent into the Shinto’s increasing influence there. In addition a plague of locusts ate a good third of the Realm’s harvest and caused a famine.

New Lord Captain Hu Di II did the same thing his father had had done: strengthen his fleet, and he in addition had a new port fortress built in Admiralty. He then boldly and maybe with inexperience attacked and enslaved the inhabitants of the Marianas, and Island of Truk and sacked its city, but unfortunately he then also ran into the Nipponese Navy, and returned home with a bloodied nose.

Emperor Hu Xi personally took reinforcements to Nan Chao as he expected an attack from the west; meanwhile the main Hu force of 90,000 (mostly EC) remained in Mison (or that’s what they made the Champans think). Another pair of leaders waited for a Japanese and/or Hindu attack on the Hu Coastline with a good sized army, and another leader led a smaller strike force into Champa. Last but not least a ton of MSP was captured in the former Champa cities.
It was beginning to turn into a Buddhist vs Hindu war:
751:
In April of 751, driven by rage to the point of madness, the Champa Emperor Tri Indravarman vowed to revenge his father and he led Champa army daringly north again, this time on a mission of revenge, to retake the lost regions (ignoring all advice from his advisors to wait for his Hindu allies to arrive). The Champa army which numbered only 45,000 marched into the region of Mison vs a 90,000 strong Hu army entrenched there. It was not completely hap hazardous because the Champa Intel and Assassin Ops had hit the region with everything they got- from cause mutiny to the killing of Hu leaders. Thus the Champa Emperor upon arriving in Mison to begin the most decisive battle for Champa’s survival was astonished to find the region empty and the Hu army long gone (just empty tents and straw men, maintained by the Hu Intel Ops [CF]). By the end of 751 the Champa army had liberated Mison and Dai Viet and both their cities without any sign of the Hu or Tonkin Armies, and had to winter in Dai Viet. Unfortunately the Sirivijayan fleet made good time and arrived off the coast of Annam in late August of 751, and started unloading in Sept and were set upon by the combined Hu (just arrived) and Tonkin army, and were destroyed, but the Sirivijayan fleet made it back home. Meanwhile in 751 a Sauras force of 10,000 troops liberates Kayah and its city. As a Small Hu force of 8,000 takes Laos.
752:
According to plan the Champa army marches into Annam in the beginning of March and they are very disappointed to find both the Hu and Tokin Armies still there and the Sirivijayan army nowhere to be seen. Immediately the battle for Champa’s survival begins! The Hu number about 25,000 and the Tokin number about 25,000 troops, they out number the Champas by only 5,000, but Hu/Tonkins were dug in and had field forts. The Champa Emperor’s advisors again advised that they withdraw and wait for their allies, but the Emperor had his advisors put in the forefront of the army and yelled:” Attack the Hu and Tonkins! Make them will pay in BLOOD! Waves and waves of Champa troops assaulted the Hu/Tonkin defenses only to be thrown back and again until the Champa army broke apart and scattered. The Champ Emperor returned home with only 5,000 troops, leaving 40,000 (along a prince) dead or captured on the battlefield. Elsewhere during the year some Hindu Afriqans attacked Hong Kong and sacked its city (one of the Afriqan leaders died from his wounds during that). Also unlucky for a small Hindu Afriqan fleet of 90 warships patrolling the Mekong Sea for Buddhist ships, that they indeed found them. They ran into the Buddhist Temple fleet of over 300 warships and Afriqans were wiped out.
753-755:
A few minor battles ensued: Palas took Korat and its city, Kali lost 2 small armies and Sauras one small army to the Hu. The region of Kayah and its city exchanged hands three times (liberated by Sauras, retaken by Hu and liberated by Kali and Palas); as was Laos which was taken by the Hu and liberated by Sauras, then retaken by the same Hu army that took Lampang, Nam Pung, and Siam before hitting a Champa army on defense in Khemer that stopped it from advancing further south. Also Rajput and another Hindu country landed troops in the region of Champa. The Buddhist fleet raided Champa lands in the south and destroyed a couple of Sauras sites, but on its way home their raid into the region of Champa failed due to the large forces there. It will also be noted that it was like rubbing salt into the Champa wound when the Tonkin army retook Dai Viet and Mison and its cities with Hu help.
Primate Qi continued rebuilding the Buddhist fleet into a major force to be reckoned with. He then joined his fleet commander and headed southwest to raid Champa lands, then northeast to raid Nippon’s eastern regions (but was driven off by the Nippon navy). While a pair of his leaders operating north of Korea with a Buddhist army of about 30,000 troops performed regional genocide on a another Nippon region (after defending a lone Merc army there) before returning home.

Emperor Temasek announced that the Sirivijayan Empire was disappointed in the actions of their friends, The Hu Empire, the Sirivijayan have chosen to put in a temporary trade embargo and cease trade with the Hu Empire. This is in response to the aggressive actions the Hu Empire took in the Hindu territory of Annam. Furthermore, the Sirivijayan Empire is embarking upon an effort to return the good people of Annam and Tonkin to their rightful Hindu religion. (But nobody in the royal count had the courage to tell the Emperor that the city of Tonkin had always been Buddhist and that even Annam long age had been Buddhist before being converted to Hinduism).

Emperor Tri Indravarman officially ended 250 years of trade with the Hu. Then he sent the summons for every able bodied men to join the military and help defend Champa from the scourge of that were the Hu, over 40,000 took up arms for the upcoming fight to the bitter end. Next the Emperor himself took command and led his forces north to retake his lands from the Hu and destroy the Tonkin upstarts. Elsewhere the region of Barat revolted because of the country switching to Sauras worship or took advantage of the war to try and secede.
[See The Hu vs Champa War [746 - ?] for details]
Tri Utvadilya was given Dai Viet, and Mison by the Hu, but the Tonkins decided to stay home and wait for any attacks on their homeland, which proved wise as Champa attack Dai Viet, and Mison. They were also lucky the Hu reacted in time (actually reacted to the Champa invasion of Mison and Dai Viet) to help drive off the Sirivijayan invasion by sea. The Hu army hung around and together they welcomed yet another invasion by Champa, defeated it and easily retook Dai Viet, and Mison and even their cities

The Primate Tri Subadar continued spreading the word of Sauras and the Temple took a more active role in the Hu vs Champa war. The Primate himself defended the holy city with over half his Saurasian troops while a pair of his leaders led an army to liberate Champa lands from Hu and with bold intentions to daringly strike into Hu itself (but they never made it that far).

As Kali willed it, the Primate Dava ordered the Temple into the fray of the Hu and Champa war, and tried to turn it into a Hindu vs Buddhist confrontation. Then the Primate IMAed and established a long overdue trade route with Sirivijaya. He also set Tithe for KwaZulu, and last but not least preached the crusade against the Buddhists for invading Hindu lands and converting Hindus. Meanwhile a plague of locust reduced the Temple’s harvest by about 20%, but there was enough food to go around.

Emperor Sanat was saddened by the loss of his wife at only 43 years old due to strange sickness. The only other thing he did was to transfer some troops to a leader before he returned home ready to react with his army against any that dare invade. At the same time 2 leaders were successful in bringing the region of Dahala completely into the fold even although one died of sickness during the process. Elsewhere other leaders were moving troops and the fleets around to location undisclosed.
King Tushtar issued his orders so late that all he could do was build. A leader in Kalinga died in Kalinga during maneuvers leaving its garrison leaderless.
Emperor Harsha prepared for a major conflict with the Hu: First, while he tried to strengthen the royal lineage by having more children. He then he stayed ready to react while his subordinate leaders tried to regain some ground for the Hindus. Additionally, Harsha assembled the main army reinforcing it by mass conscription which called on all able bodied men of Palas to join the military to help Champa. Furthermore, Harsha continued to convert the royal family to Saurian Hinduism. Elsewhere a quarrel between the headstrong Prince Pratih and an Allied leader in Maghada caused the region to downgrade to Trib upon both their deaths in a duel.

During Emperor Birju’s rule, his beautiful wife Jumi had a son in 751, but then she tragically died in 753 giving birth to twin girls (both survived). He also ordered a relief fleet and army to head to Champa led by a Prince and two leaders. Meanwhile Intel found their efforts to locate an SE lodge of the Assassins of Kali cleverly blocked at every step.

Emperor Moltke issued no orders and then died of a mysterious illness at only 46 years of age, along with a prince, leader, and a couple royal family members during the harsh winter of 754…
Received no orders…
The ruthless Shah Ahmorad II had a vision and in it he saw that the Black Beast was a punishment from God. The king knew what he must do. The king has decided that the Religious Order of the Farohars mocked both God and man a like and their stench must be driven from his lands. Four battle groups set out to destroy the RO and its followers. The king has commanded that their sites be looted, burnt and all followers impaled. “Only then will God smile again on our realm and our treasury”. Afterwards the Black Beast left Volga, its work done there, and then entered Persia to cause more strife. (Meanwhile the Heir died of a wound he suffered during the looting and the Shah had to choose a new heir.) Meanwhile a series of poor harvests cause a famine throughout the Empire.
Patriarch Auga left the ruins of Ulania and journeyed to Pontus to establish a church, instructing a new bishop there on how it was done. Elsewhere the Church interceded on behalf of Persia to persuade the region of Psidia to join the great Persian Empire. The Church also rebuilt the port fortress in Zongal and transferred it to Persia. It also noted and celebrated the 250th year anniversary of its founding.
ShahanShah Kavadh II maintained his rule with an iron hand as he ordered a massive buildup of the Empire’s Army and Navy in numbers not seen since the last war with the hated Greeks. Elsewhere one of two leaders commanding the Persian Fleet fell overboard and drowned on its voyage from Tyre to an undisclosed port. At the same time an another leader on a diplomatic mission to the city of Antioch messed up so bad he was driven out and suffered some wounds as relations with the port city deteriorated. In the fall of 751 a strong earthquake caused a lot damage to the region of Babylonia, killing thousands, leaving tens of thousands homeless, and even destroyed the small city of Nippur which was near its epicenter.
The Grandmaster Doughen again issued no orders for 3rd time in a row, so… (Was Celebrating its 250th anniversary, when news arrived of Parthia’s betrayal.)

Sultan Kurav returned home to rule and have children with a new bride from Madina. He also took command of some troops when one of his leaders died of a strange sickness (that also killed his mother). The Sultan sent his Heir and a pair of leaders with a fleet and troops to retake the rebellious region and islands to the south. Meanwhile other leaders tried by diplomatic means to get other rebellious regions to return to the fold. In the meantime, a Prince disappeared while searching for SE cells and was never heard from again, and another leader found nothing.

Emperor Merakh again was as alert as ever (with help from his Heir), together they were utterly prepared to intercept any hostile forces with their sizeable army in the homeland and neighboring regions and crush them like a bug. He also ordered two great walls built along the coast of the gulf of Cyprus in the regions of Egypt and Mansura, to protect against tidal waves or pending invasion he did not say. Intel reported that a SE called the Deep Ones captured their fleet and there were also rumors of the same SE raiding and snatching women and children from regions along the Bay of Tunis, also AO Ops against the Ispanians were blocked by the Ispanians. Elsewhere brave Prince Previus was found dead and crucified in the region of Leant while on a very important diplomatic mission there.
Theban Master Cassius issued no orders…
The Axums were left without the Theban’s help; luckily the Horde didn’t attack them. In fact the Axums attacked the Horde on their own. The only help they had was some battle assistance, their assassins wounding the Horde Lord, and the element of surprise. They trounced the Horde into little tiny pieces.

Emperor Djibuti II gathered some troops and went and redeployed his reactionary force in Soro to combat the Horde if it should come calling. Prince Baako arrived in Soro with more troops, but found the Emperor dead without a mark on him and his blackstaff gone. Prince Baako stood waiting for the horde while the Emperor’s troops remained in the garrison. The Prince would later joke that he was tempted to take control of the deceased Emperor’s troops and take over the Empire if not for the Horde on the Empire’s border. Meanwhile missionaries sent to 3 regions failed badly and were driven off by their inhabitants.
King Kwaku gave no orders…
No orders received…
Emperor Kosha grieved over the death of his young wife Nyala in childbirth, and it was weeks before he would even look at his newborn son. In the Empire there was more death as a Prince disappeared crossing the mountains into Shoa, another leader was killed trying to sneak into the Horde’s camp. Meanwhile the Emperor gave his Heir Kurmuk and a leader orders to field an army and attempt to seek out and destroy the Wadai Horde, or alternately defend against it should it invade the Empire again. The Heir Kurmuk did as he was commanded, but he was troubled by the lack of any Theban presence. As it turned out he didn’t need them, for the glory was all his (bah, ha, ha!). As he proved beyond a shadow of a doubt to be a great general and there was great rejoicing back home when word reached them of the Horde’s demise, and even talk of building a stature of him in the royal courtyard to honor him.

Emperor Vijay decided to booster the royal navy by adding the best ships his gold could buy. He also IMAed and searched for any SEs in the capital, actions which his Intel failed to hide. Unfortunately the SEs were very slippery or not there as the Emperor and another leader came up empty handed. While all of this was going on his Heir ruled and continued the line of succession. Meanwhile the Hindu Empire of Afriqan entered the Hu vs Champa War by sending a fleet with some troops to attack Hong Kong and its city. The city of Monbasattva’s inhabitants revolted protesting the Empire’s entrance into the war, and the Empire’s Intel Ops failure to crush the revolt only making it worse.

King Benedict ‘s Heir Zimba II died trying to convert the natives of Bassa (without a royal guard), he was found hanging upside down from a tree not fatal in itself, but all his guts were missing… The King promoted another of his son to Heir, but he disappeared the night of the ceremony, then the Old King promoted a second son before he died in spring of 754 of a deadly fever. Elsewhere diplomatic efforts had some success in Mbundu even although one of two leaders mysteriously died coughing up a stream of blood. With the old King dead and his rule ended the country’s government was spread very thin.
King Shaka Zulu finished enslaving yet another region, and repopulated it lightly with Hindu Zulus and then used the slaves to increase PWBs back home. The rapid expansion of his Empire during his regime will make his name live on in the legends of the Zulu. While his father was off making a name for himself the Heir ruled and sired some more offspring. Another leader died trying to do the same thing the King did (half his troops made it home), and yet another disappeared during a journey to answer the call of a crusade in the East. Meanwhile a strong earthquake struck the homeland damaging it, and its city, destroyed the city’s walls, and damaged the walls of its citadel.
Horde Lord Obi Wadai was wounded yet again by Axum assassins, so the horde stayed put so the Horde Lord could nurse his wound, and the weakened Horde was destroyed by a well timed Axum surprise attack...

Emperor Octavious continued to rule. He dispatched an expedition force to restore order in war torn Alamanni domains to restrain the rampaging Austrians, and another force to take control of Burgundy from St.George. In the meantime the Heir again took some ships and went on a quest to search for an uncharted island in the mists west of the Irish Sea. He found a new sea in the mists that he named the Avalon Sea, but rough sea and raging storms allowed him the time to only explore a quarter of the sea zone before low supplies made him return home. The Heir reported no sightings of any islands, but there was still much left to explore although back home the Emperor was growing impatient…
Pope Peter personally paid a visit to Austria with his entourage of a couple of leaders to help convert the Heretic nation. One of the leaders with him named Cardinal Lawrence died of the old age of 78. A Bishop back home administering didn’t provide any help and without anybody helping him the Church was plagued by thin government again. The region of Cumbria was colonized and handed over to the British. Also another leader was accidentally killed in the fighting in Svear.
King Olof was ready to oppose the Pirates, but he was surprised by the attack of a fellow Celtic Christian as the Danes invaded from Agder. With the aid of Pirates, King Olof Empire fell to the Danes…

Emperor Fils II foolishly handed over command of his army and even Odin’s Spear to one of his leaders a Lord Onundr, who everybody agreed was a better general than the Emperor. The Emperor then accompanied Lord Onundr into battle and many of the royal court were surprised that the Lord didn’t revolt, the Emperor would later only say that you need to know the measure of a man. Elsewhere Prince Sigmund disappeared while on a important diplomatic mission in Fjordane. Also a drought started and it did not help with the food shortages, all internal fleets were hastily converted to fishing but there was much famine throughout the Empire.
Danes conquered the Svear with the pirates help, although none of the Danish generals or troops would admit to working with them.
Lord Capt Red Markusum landed some troops in Halland that attacked the Svear’s rear when the Danes engaged them, thus bring about the downfall of the Svears. Also his Heir raided up and down the coasts of the Svear. Meanwhile Lord Svien Knudson disappeared in Lofoten on a diplomatic mission; another leader finished the mission with some success. Still another Leader landed a force in both Mordaland and Saarema, while Saarema was also colonized.

King Norwulf celebrated the country’s bicentennial so much that he forgot to issue any orders, and quite frankly he drunk himself to death. The new King mourned his father’s passing and also was upset about the Pirates’ attack.
King Osoric II ruled and was ready to defend his homeland. He gave orders and troops to a pair of leaders to welcome back (or else) the two regions and city that had revolted. Also the King promoted his eldest son to Heir in a lavish ceremony when he came of age.
Tsesar Asparukh III issued no orders for the 3rd time. So…

Emperor Basileus’ army was on standby, ready to react unmercifully to any outside threat to the Empire. His Heir tried to increase the Empire’s influence with the newly settled Defenders with only a little success.
Emperor Helmat II was completely surprised by the unprovoked invasion from the south by Austria. He was an excellent military leader, who upon word of Lorraine’s invasion left troops to defend the homeland, and rushed to defend the capital. Sadly his military expertise couldn’t stop the tide of Austria and British troops that overwhelmed his small force and destroyed his country. Lying upon the battlefield among the cries of the dying, the Emperor with his dying breath he cursed the Brits for helping the Heretics take over his country.

Grandmaster Joshua was on guard with his army against any invasions or revolts in Greece. He also sent a leader and some troops out hunting the Black Beast, but so far they didn’t have any luck finding it. Elsewhere ancient ruins were found in Talman.
The Batu Khan gave no orders to ride, and left Europe quivering in anticipation. The Horde would to move soon as the food supplies were dwindling as famine reared its ugly head in the Horde’s lands.

Alejandro the Mark of Ispan held a grand celebration of the March’s bicentennial. He then gave his troops to his Son and Heir and began to rule, but he fell gravely ill and died. Two princes also died, the first Prince Santiago was found dead in Catalonia hanging from a tree while trying to convert the region during the summer of 754, the other Prince Tavaro was found dead in the homeland without a mark on him in the fall of 755.
Battle 1)
The WRE kept its only remaining army in its homeland on react, while the Egyptian army rushed to join the Theban army in Liguria expecting a pending attack from the St.George / Lombard armies. The Egyptian / Theban armies would be kept waiting for over two years, so while they had plenty of time to set up a directed defense, they choose to remain on react fearing perhaps that they could be outflanked (for they were dealing with one of the greatest generals the world has ever seen). The Coptics were just starting to feel that the St.George / Lombard armies were not going to attack when they poured over the mountains and the battle for the WRE’s survival commenced. By the time St.George / Lombard armies made it over the mountains and prepared to attack, the WRE army had rushed in to join the Egyptian / Theban armies. The addition troops didn’t help the Coptics, they had 92,200 troops and 18 field forts, and the Ispanians had 51,400 troops, Greek Fire, Battle Assistance, more elite units, and the world’s greatest general. The Coptics didn’t stand a chance… Only 32,400 Coptic troops made it out alive and retreated back to the homeland to make a last stand with the WRE Heir was dead and both Egyptian leaders were wounded, meanwhile the Ispanians had to stop and deal with some field forts in Tuscany,
Battle 2)
So while the St.George / Lombard armies took Tuscany, it gave the Egyptian / Theban / WRE armies time to strengthen their defenses in Latium and they were able to gather another 15,000 troops from nearby garrisons (including former rebel Prince Ludicrous II) and with 32 field forts were ready for their last stand. The Coptics stood with 53,000 troops (and 32 field forts) against the Ispanians and their 41,200 troops, Greek Fire, etc. Again the Coptics were badly beaten, in fact humiliated (Ispanians rolled a 10, Coptics rolled a 1). The Coptic army was wiped out by the Ispanians and their leaders retreated behind Rome’s walls. The Egyptian / Theban / WRE leaders used Ludicrous II’s fleet to leave Rome just before it fell to an active siege by the Ispanians, and the Coptics set up a new WRE capital in Bonifacio in Corsica.
Grandmaster Petros was a great military leader, but with Greek Fire he was almost unbeatable, unfortunately he was getting on in age and he felt it in his bones that this would be his last campaign. He had Dijon looted and sacked and the Greek Fire made it burn so bright it could be seen for many miles around. He then waited patiently for the British to take over Burgundy, and then turned over Lyonnais to Armorica. Afterwards he marched to Provence to meet up with his reinforcements and the Lombard Army. Elsewhere status was improved with the Brits, and the usual rejection of tar and feathers was given by the Greeks...
Regent Isolde ruled for Tristan II until he came of age and was crowned Emperor in 755. Prince Jos recovered the old silver sword from the battlefield in Burgundy, and returned with it to Armorica. Lord Graelent meanwhile marched into Lyonnais with his army and an ally’s army, and took control of the region and looted the Coptic Church site there. Another leader with a small army claimed Aquitaine for the Empire.

Emperor Justus ordered Rome expanded and its public works improved as if the nation wasn’t threatened with destruction from the Northwest. However for the war effort, he did order 6,000 cavalry trained and gave them to his heir to command and together with him and all his leaders they stood ready to react to any more invasions from their homeland. Surprisingly the Emperor made no move to reclaim his lost regions. Meanwhile a fierily molten rock fell from the night sky and landed in Liguria, it formed a crater 20 hands across and when it cooled it formed into the shape of a Coptic cross and it attracted so many followers that a religious trade center appeared. There was some more good news when King Ludicrous II of Corsica rejoined WRE as a prince, and was later made the Heir. The rest of the news was grim because the war was a complete disaster resulting in the loss of the Empire’s homeland, and capture of its capital by the Ispanians.

King Ludicrous II rejoined WRE as a prince, and things went downhill from there.

King Rupert declared himself Emperor and he made himself, his leaders and royal family available to conversion to the Celtic faith, shutting the door in the faces of the Pauline Church Representatives. He ordered 6,800 infantry trained and assigned to Lord Otto to command and then very foolishly he gave Otto all his troops too. Everybody was surprised that Otto didn’t revolt and that he followed his orders to the letter to invade Alamanni along with two other leaders (and the British’s help).
NOTE: The Albions bought horses to the new world and the cavalry count has been completed and there are herds of horses roaming the Great Plains along with the buffalo ... (Completed for Central America too, but not South America)

Chief Wounded Hawk ruled while all his leaders administered except for a Prince that died in his sleep at after 61 winters.
Chief Ten Bears (also IMA) and his Heir ruled the Federation with a steady hand from Cahokia. The Heir and nation grieved the death of the Heir's wife Raining Flower and the loss a daughter to the Plague. Cultivation was completed on the steppes of Illinois and begun in the wilderness of Kickapoo. A diplomatic mission under the leadership of Little Bear headed south along the river to meet with the tribes of Atakapa and it successfully bonded them to the federation. The mission also witnessed a great flaming spear fall out of the sky and strike the ground (and it still continues to burn), causing a religious trade center sprung up around it. Basking Turtle took a fleet of swift ships down the river and into the Caribbean to explore the Bahamian Sea. He returned with partial maps from exploring the Bahama Sea, and soon became gravely ill and died of an unknown illness.
Chief Burning Branch had some newly trained troops demobilized in order to help cultivate two regions. Chief was happy that the country’s population reached three million. He also had his leaders squirreling about looking for SEs but no signs of any were found. The Chief continued to rule quite well, even although he didn’t feel that well (many thought he had caught a whiff of the plague...).
Chief Hatawin IV fell sick from the plague and lingered on his deathbed, while his brother Spotted Dog returned home and died of it. Elsewhere a Tsunami in the Vicizano Sea hit the region of Ipai and destroyed the city of Long Beach and damaged its region. It also almost disrupted the building of a great wall to hold back the desert. The Chief also ordered that control of Hopi and Moapa be lowered in order to reduce the Federation's thin government.

Lord Captain Cartagena foolishly gave all his ships and most of his troops to his Heir Magnus Troil Sparrow. The Heir’s mission was to capture the city of Tir Avalon, but Magnus much like his father before him took more than what was given him, he made Lord Captain Cartagena walk the plank with leg-irons attached and Magnus became the new Lord Captain. Meanwhile Capt Tesco a close friend of Cartagena died of his wounds suffered in a bar fight in Port Mainmast. The Pirates also found many of their cupboards bare and suffered a outbreak of famine.
King Garvin died in 753 a few months short of his 100th birthday, a smile of contentment on his face. His Heir and son Stephan succeeded him with no difficulties; although there was much talk in the homeland that a monument in Garvin’s honor should be built and so much religious frenzy that he should be made a saint that a religious trade center appeared. Soon after the grand funeral for his father, the new King Stephan did marry as his father wished in a small and somber ceremony to a noble woman a third of his age. Many in the royal count wondered if, at the age of 72, he would shire any heirs or die trying… But surprisingly twin sons were born the next year and there was much rejoicing in the Kingdom (and a daughter followed the year after). Bishop Halifax died in 753 a little after his good friend King Garvin, he was only 50, and the Church sent a young inexperienced replacement soon afterwards
Patriarch Alphonse again issued no orders…
Chief Tuvano ruled and his Prince administered. The Chief also promoted his eldest son to Heir. Otherwise things were very quiet.
So great has been the endurance, so incredible the achievement, that,
