SCHEDULE for Next Two turns

Two turns will go at 7 week turn around times to get confidence back from the players and to give time to gather new players
Turn 11 Due Date April 1st, 2005
Turn 11 Completed by Monday, May 2nd, 2005
Turn 12 Due Date May Friday, May 20th, 2005
Turn 12 Completed by Monday, June 20th, 2005

We will see at that point how many positions are refilled. How the GM processing part is going.
If everything is going steady we may change to 2 weeks for players, 4 weeks for me.
During holiday periods of time I'll adjust schedule accordingly

Unit Builds
In each racial chart is a list of places which units can be constructed. This will be enforced more rigidly as certain units require more organized services like those offered in Towns, Cities, or Fortresses. Here are the abbreviations. New specialized units based on QR's will be given build requirements as well.

HM - Unit can be built in the Homeland of the Nation, regardless of whether there is a city or not
FC - Unit can be built in a Friendly city within the Homeland Build Zone of the nation
FV - Unit can be built in a Friendly Village, Town, or City within the HBZ of the nation.
FT - Unit can be built in a Friendly Town or City within the HBZ of the nation.
F - Unit can be built in a Fortress
CR - Unit may be built in a controlled region
PV - Can be constructed in a Port Village or larger
PT - Can be built in a Port Town or larger
PC - Can be built in a Port City

CCR
Just a note of caution on how far away the King is from the Capital and how far a nation can spread.  The BL along with the Kings own (unknown rating, but a minimum of 1, could be up to 6 however) rating determine his effectiveness as far as revolts, loyalty checks and all that fun stuff.  If the King is out of range of the Capital and Leaders are out of range of both the King and the Capital expect trouble at some point.

Trade Routes If a trade route section goes through your lands you need to put in your orders who will be allowed to trade along those routes. Such as Orcs passing through Elven lands to trade with others, etc. This is the second turn where a good deal of trade passed through other peoples lands via that system. New routes were opened this past turn successfully and overall it went well.

The Rumor Mill for Turn 10

Northern Geographic Region:
Sailing can be deadly to your health
Canibals pretty much took care of anyone landing along the shore in the Bay of Vhaliano. Gives the term white sandy beaches new meaning as most of the white comes from broken bone fragments in places.

George "The Fat" Flares
His nickname did not happen on accident and his going was somewhat slow. Supposedly he stopped over in Clemont and Le Mans to test the quality of the Inns. There he gained a bit of taste for crab cakes and fresh seafood. Too bad he fell off the dock and was never seen from again.

Central Geographic Region:
Grey Moon
Rumors persist of a city so large that its markets are the size of some towns. The gambling halls are equal to the size of some villages. And if tales are true you can stay at a different Inn every night for months and never stay in the same establishment twice.

Lizardmen on the Move
The foothills come alive as Lizardmen are seen moving through Dwarven held lands. Conquest appears to be their motive as they raid food stuffs and various villages on their way to one of the huge lakes that dominates the landscape in this part of the world.

Eastern Geographic Region:
Elven Silks
The Ancient Forest produces some of the nicest cloth available anywhere. Resistant to wear and tear as well as comfortable. Probably the hardest part is getting a hold of it as little leaves the lands held by the Elves.

Great Eastern Map
Scribes and Surveyors are busy putting their skills to the test with access througout a good portion of the East. The maps are distrubuted for a price of course to the nations willing to pay for them.

Western Geographic Region:
Winter Freeze
For weeks after spring planting the ground is as frozen as ever. Its not a drought, but it could be called a winter freeze. Some nations seem to be hit harder than others.

Orcs on the move
The Wee folk between the desert and the coast are heard to have been talking about a vast tribe of Orcs moving through some of their lands. There are no Orcs en mass in neighboring nations so the rumor has been cast aside by many. Tall tales grow beyond the stature of the speaker more often than not when speaking with some of the Halflings.

Southern Geographic Region:
Haunting Music
Some sort of low drum or bass instrument is heard by merchants as they pass through some of the swampy sections of the trade route going south. It has persuaded some to hire additional guards and others to keep fires well lit in the evenings. The music has said to have led some off of the path into the swamps never to be heard from again.

River Traffic
For those along the Great Serpent River the amount of shipping upon the waters has not been seen in recent generations. Even some Elves along the shore in small tribes speak that it has been several generations of Man and many of Lizardmen since traffic flow has been this heavy. Tempers flare from time to time as the race is on to get the best docking locations in some ports of call. Not every desitination is the size of the cities of Yazli Gru where Docks, Wharehouses, and anything else a person would like to find seems to be present.

Notes on "My Lords"
NRR is actually roughly the ESI in a typical LOTE campaign.
MSI is modified for the values of the various units and such, but is also a fairly accurate measure of your nations Military Strength vs that of the other nations in the game.
Rank on the Home page is for your Military Strength in your Geographic region.  What might be 1st in one region would be 6th in another section of the world.

Dedication - To my cousin Brandon who was growing into a fine young man. He had just started playing LOTE. At the time it seemed funny but I recall like it was yesterday. "Just one more question" he asked as we sat in my kitchen.

and yes . . . that means you can play for FREE as long as you pay attention . .
Lords 51 uses a server, Campaign Cartographer 2, and “My Lords” created by Rob Hanson

If you enjoy the campaign, the maps, the newsfax and the work put forth pitch in where you can and it will help pay for all these things, show some appreciation, and update software and symbol sets for mapping. I may from time to time ask the players if they want an update to certain things. If the answer is yes I may ask for a donation to help pay for whatever that may be. This server has been running now for 2-3 years.
