Some Notes Regarding Turn 1

Folks, sorry about the delay and all the errors that will inevitably be on your stat sheets. Point them out to me and I will gladly correct them ASAP. Most of the cause of my delay deals with initial start-up stuff and/or technical matters that I didn’t learn how to handle in the Beta. I promise to get over this hump.

Some notes:

I didn’t calculate any trade yet this turn. Players who had trade listed, send me a yell and I will work on learning how that works and I will revise your stats this week.

I will also send out a list of players who earned the extra 1 BP and 2gp for naming all cities and leaders.

Maps will show the BPV, terrain and cities of all starting regions on turn 3.

The diplomacy rules, as posted, does not allow more than 10 extra Aps in support of diplomacy, unless you pay gold to support the extra Aps spent there. All regions that have been visited in attempt of diplomacy should now show on your stat sheet along with a resistance value of somewhere between 11-20.

Lastly, if you ordered a HC action, and I failed to acknowledge it, let me know and I will send you some result.

Note: 1 unit of ground forces equals 200 men.

His warriors are among the best in the land, and he is a solid tactician.

He is greeted by 10,800 screaming barbarians. Their Chief, Kilyu, chants the bloody victories of his father, and his fathers-father, before leading the infantry charge.

Prince Shemas has superior troops and is supported by his Lt, but he is outnumbered and the Barbarians are defending their homeland. Worse of all, luck is not on the Princes side.

Dark Lord Johnathan Blare, the terrible ruler of the insane people of Gran Breton, assembles a small but highly elite army. They are of the best quality in the known world, possessing technology that most other nations only dream about. Lord Blare intends to use this advantage.

With 1,000 heavy elite calvary and 1,000 heavy elite infantry, the Gran Breton army arrive into the woods of Sussex to find a horde of spear wielding defenders waiting. 6,200 Spearmen wait to impale the Dark Lord. Most leaders would have quavered or even retreated in this situation, but Blare is the best tactician in the known world. Possessing skills and intuitions enhance from the Ago, he can accomplish feats that most mortals cannot comprehend.

The Sussex army has a highly competent War Chief and the advantage of numbers and homeland defense. It does not matter. The initial impact of the Gran Bretan War Charge smashes the ranks of the defending army and they quickly begin to rout. Mop-up operations are then conducted…then the enslavement begins.

(NOTE to players. This Neutral region had a relatively low resistance value, lower tech armies, and no calvary. Plus the Gran Bretons are Bad Ass. Don’t expect everyones battles to go this way.)

Worse yet, a half way compentent leader was sent to old Castille without any support. People of Leon extremenly stubborn, luckily the Lt performed masterfully, which is the only reason they let him leave alive.

Meanwhile Lt Halhand, The Helping Hand (dark clouds follow him around) embarks on a diplomatic mission to Smalland to find a Bride from that region for Prince Halsson, The Son of Hal (see what I have to put up with folks!).
