Greetings!
Turns were a few days late
this time, as I was changing to a new format for them. Everyone should have gotten their turn by
now, if you haven’t please contact me.
There may be a few problems with them, so please check your turns over
carefully, and let me know if you see something that isn’t quite right.
FYI: This campaign utilizes the version 5.6.7
rulebook - if you don’t have a copy, I suggest that you contact Tom Harlan and
get one
FYI: I have a new email address as GM for this
campaign:
I have found that it’s much
easier to get turns out using aol than just about anyone else. I will still (for now) use my old email
address for other campaigns.
Please check the rules
supplement if you haven’t recently - there are several changes to it that are
important. Players have continued to
send me orders that don’t work according to those rules and I have been forced
to cancel part of their orders.
If you people are paying
attention, then you will realize that I’ve finally got the trade rules figured
out and those of you trading have finally started to get some decent trade
amounts. And if you haven’t started
trading with someone, but want to, don’t forget that both parties must have a
embassy open to do so. Double check to
see if you have diplomats where you want them.
I had a player this turn complain that someone had never sent him a
diplomat, while in actuality HE had never sent one.
Most people should have
gotten a new map by now (if you’ve either done some exploring or have traded
with other players). If you have not
yet received one, but feel that one is due, please let me know - It may be done
and I just haven’t gotten it sent out yet.
There may be some changes
coming soon - several of the fomulas that I have been using are either
outdated, based on the current rulebook, or simply were wrong. After wrestling with this problem for
several days, I decided not to change anything for now, and just get the turns out. Just be aware that these changes will affect
everyone, and that I will try to make if fair for all. I’m a lawful GM, and I pick the laws! When these things do occur, I will detail
the changes in this newsletter.
Turn costs have gone up to
$2 a turn. Probably still the lowest
charge per turn in any campaign. If you
have a zero account balance (at the top of your turn sheet) then you will need
to send money.

P.S. For all of you who live in Arizona: This
weekend (May 19-21) is Leprecon 2000, at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort, in
Scottsdale, (602) 991-2400. I will be there, running a DAWN PATROL event most of the
weekend. For the unitiated, DAWN PATROL is a WWI fighter-based aerial
combat game. If you’re interested, you
will find me there. And if you have some Lords
questions, I will try to answer them in between breaks of that game.
