***Welcome to L27, I am your GM for this chaotic world of the dark ages; my name is Chet S. My Lords GM address is: Lords27gm@throneworld.com for orders and L27 stuff, and my NEW L27 paypal address is: lords27gm@throneworld.com
Turn fee is $6.00 donation, and there is also a $6.00 donation for a startup fee for new players. Also I do not accept any personal checks as my bank charges me a $20 fee for any bounced checks that I deposit...(Cash, money orders & certified checks are ok.)
NOTE: Any nation that reaches a NEGATIVE balance without making an arrangement with me will not be processed, and not sending orders in for three turns in a row in addition to not making payments, will force me open your country to a new player who has the time and money...
I have policy of no switching nations if your balance is in the red, until that negative balance is paid and you must also pay for one turn ahead so you're in the black.
BTW if your orders form doesn't have a yellow highlight section (with a red section under it) in the middle of it, you are using the wrong sheet and need to download a new one from the file section of this site or at the L27 home site at: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Lords-27/files/L27_Excel_orders_template.xls
If you do not have Microsoft Excel, there is a free version of Office called OpenOffice that will open, edit and save Excel file at: http://www.openoffice.org/
***Do not put new or old projects in the builds section of the Order form; they only go in the new or old projects section (with ID number), and do not delete any part of the order form that you are not using, just leave the unused sections blank and do not add any page-breaks either, or write outside the borders (your personal notes doubles the pages).
Make sure your e-mail address is right in your orders, that is the address the program will send your stat sheet to... and that it has the right turn number too!
Troop builds: If your leader is in the region already or will be in that region to pick up your newly built troops, don't build troops for the garrison and then have him pick them up, just build troops for him (he still has to go and pick them up).
Mercenaries: Remember that you MUST specify a city where you are hiring the Mercs. Failure to do this will result in no Mercs and the money being lost. Also, mercenaries may not be hired for more than one turn at a time. This may change when the Years per Turn reduces sufficiently enough for a contract to carry over to multiple turns. PLEASE put where you are hiring any mercenaries AND how many you are trying to hire AND how much you are willing to pay per point of troops in your builds section on the order form. PLEASE put this information in the notes section at the end of your builds. Otherwise you will not get the mercenaries and the GPs bid on them will be lost.
For expanding cities please put the name of the city in location, not just the region it is in. Also for WP for fortress always put the region in for Location and for WP for cities always put in the city name for location. Last but not least in the item column in the build section do NOT write out fully what your building please use the codes, for example: your building 10 elite infantry, do NOT write "Build 10 elite infantry", instead write 10ei and do that for all units and also put no space between 10 and ei (the lords program reads it this way.).
Claimed Regions and Cities: These regions and cities will be noted by a dot in your color, not a full color shading of the region.
Please use this order format when naming your orders: L27_T42_NationName.xls.
Heirs and Princes: Unless stated otherwise in your orders, when a King's male child comes of age he is promoted to Heir (if he has none, then grandson, then any male child in royal family). Likewise when any male child comes of age he is promoted to Prince if there is an opening and I don't forget to check.
Please let me know if PWB are for a city or a region by putting a "c" or "r" in front of it like this: 10rPWB.
From now on if your leader has NO name he or she gets NO action.
If you have the time, it would help me write the newsfax if you write a sentence or two or even a paragraph, a summary on what your country and its leaders are trying to accomplish during the turn...
Max Tax dropped from 2.0 to 1.9 in T45, it will be 1.8 in T46, 1.7 in T47, 1.6 in T48, and 1.5 in T49 and beyond, as the world gets darker and resources become more scarce.
Ships must end the turn in a port, if not in a port they lose 10% the first turn, 20% the second turn, 30% the third turn, etc.
SEE (HOUSE) RULES (*** = New): http://www.throneworld.com/lords/lote27/Rules.html
In L27, HC (Have Children) can only be combined with RULE and ADMINISTER, otherwise it's a separate action for your leader.
BTW I could use some more flags as over half of you don't have one...

I'm afraid the new Shogun Okajuurou got to watch the start of the Japan-China war from a Buddhist prison cell, due to the fact that he was kidnapped in Anshan by some Buddhist agents (no CA on him). His army and fleet (lost 10% last turn) sat in Anshan throughout most of the war (no second in command) until one of his leaders arrived to take command of it and made port for the fleet. The rest of his leaders were undaunted by their Shogun's disappearance and followed the Samurai into battle quite enraged. Back home those pesky Buddhist visited three regions attempting to covert them to Buddhism (with some success), and raided six other regions including unbelievably the Takeda's homeland. Also with the Emperor gone the nation suffered from thin government.
Many historians disagree on the exact starting date of the war; with many pointing to the lightning fast take over of Korea of five years prior as to when the war actually started. Well anyway, things really heated up in the year 727 with the Mongols (hired by Japan?) first invading from the West and then the Samurai and Japanese came in with an amphibious invasion of Yen. Fortunately for the latter, the Chinese had formed a single huge army in Northern China composed of three nations (Hu, Black Dragon, and Horan) that appeared to be waiting for the Horde. The Mongols struck into Yanzhi scorching the region and send a small light cavalry force to raid north into Wu Hai, The huge Chinese Force was waiting one region over in Ordos and reacted to the small force and catching it in the middle of its raid and wiped most of it out. The remains of the raiding army returned down the road to the Horde to warn it, pursued by the Chinese. The Horde was trapped a killing field in Yanzhi by Mountains to the South and East and the Hang Ho river to the west. With Nowhere to run the Mongol Horde's Khan knew his would never make it over any of those obstacles before the Chinese arrived so he chose to ready his defenses. The Chinese numbered around 190,000 troops to the Horde's 165,000, the Horde had some battle assistance and were dug in a little, while the Chinese had many more elite troops. The first round of the battle went to the Horde (Chinese lost about 85,000 troops, Horde lost about 55,000), and the Chinese had to withdraw (in good order) to regroup in Wu Hai, the Chinese returned with a avenging spirit before the Horde could leave (it barely had time to regroup) and the second round was a stalemate for the two evenly match armies, the third round then went horribly wrong for the Horde as its Khan and Heir were both killed, ensuing with the Chinese winning the field, the horde was crushed and it remains scattered back to the steppes. (But the Chinese lost about 45,000 more troops in the process, and thus Mongol Horde was no more and over a quarter million Chinese and Mongolians lay dead...).
Meanwhile back in Yen the Samurai headed west and the Japanese headed north and easily took Lu'An, Bao Ding, looting both. The Samurai took Hopei (looted it), and then ran into the remains of the Chinese Force in Houma, after hard fighting they drove the Chinese out into Huang (losing about 9,000 troops, while the Chinese left behind 17,000 dead). The Samurai looted Houma and then withdrew back to Yen, while the Chinese stayed put in Huang and licked their wounds.
Elsewhere the Buddhist raiding fleet returning home ran into a Japanese fleet of about the same size near Okinawa, the Japanese pounced on them and it was a hard fought sea battle, each side lost a leader and about the same number of ships (The Buddhist also lost 1,800 infantry), unfortunate for the Japanese they one had one leader so their ships stopped at Okinawa (lost 10% because of no port) while the Buddhist continued home.
Grandmaster Korizawa too was kidnapped by those rascally Buddhist (he did have CA, but the Buddhist just got a better roll), but tragically he died in a Buddhist prison not able to see the results of his brilliant invasion plan. Lucky for the Samurai they had a 2nd, 3rd and even a 4th in command so the war continued on with them undaunted.

Emperor Tuoba Dao personally led the Black Dragon contingent of the Chinese Force in Ordos with his heir by his side. The whole force was under the command of a brilliant military tactician [the Horan Emperor]. The rest of his leaders were on diplomatic missions
(See Japan-China War [727- ?] for details)
Emperor Lui Zhaokang took command of the huge Chinese Force in Ordos, personally leading the coalition to do battle against the Mongol Horde incursion (with one of his leaders) and it was his brilliant tactics that was the deciding factor in bringing about the destruction of the horde. Alas he perished of his wounds from the battle and was sorely missed in the next battle with the Samurai resulting in the lost of all the Honan troops there. The rest of his leaders led diplomatic talks again with the region of Kiangsu and got little results. Elsewhere gold was discovered in Tsainan and Kiangsu (and a region not controlled by Honan).
(See Japan-China War [727- ?] for details)
Lord Captain Hu Di gave no orders... But one of his Island strongholds at Kepeluan fought off a small invasion by Champa.
NO ORDERS RECEIVED...
Mercenaries: See Orient
Emperor Hu Dong ordered some troops movements, but his orders were vague and many transfers did not go through. Although he was only in his late fifties, arthritis was bothering him and the Emperor battled sickness (as he was coughing up blood...). None the less he took over half his huge army (the world's largest) and his Heir with him north to join the Chinese coalition there. Before he left the Emperor also order trade cut with Takeda and the Kannagara dogs. At the same time a pair of Princes was also ordered by the Emperor to lead a large army to investigate rumors of an invasion in the region of Fukien and to fortify the coastland. The Emperor made clear that Hu will not have any more Japanese dogs for neighbors, so consequently he sent a pair of leaders to invade Luzon with a small army and fleet to capture it and its city for the Empire. Meanwhile another leader was sent on a diplomatic mission to the city of P'ingtung and convinced it to turn from Takeda's control.
Elsewhere a deal was cut with Sirivijaya to share city of Fuzhou in exchange for Taiwan and city of P'ingtung.
(See Japan-China War [727- ?] for details)
Primate Dewei ordered trade cut with Takeda and the Kannagara too. Then he went on a secret mission to establish a site in Silla that was doomed to failure before it even started (can't build a site in an empty region). Sadly he never returned from his fool's errand, rumors had it that he was caught by the Samurai and tortured to death in one of their dungeons. The Buddhist's support for the war effort consisted of a small fleet loaded with troops that raided the Japanese southern coastline and even their homeland (but didn't get much from the homeland as it was full of field forts). Also a few priests were sent to the Far East and had some success in converting the people to Buddhism.

The Emperor Temasek ruled, again with the help of his brother Prince Parameshwara who administered to the Empire's needs. The Empire continued its build up of the navy with another eighty new warships (not heavy this time) to help defend it from the Pirates.
Good News was that with all of the economical buildup over the pass 50 years, Sirivijaya was second only to Asamakara in economical power, but that came at a price of overpopulation with a normal harvest unable to feed the masses. Luckily there was no famine due to an adequate reserve. The bad news was that the royal nursery was still silent as a grave and the Emperor was getting old...
Emperor Tri Jayaavarman II ruled and was prepared to react to any outside threats, along with his Heir's army. As seven regiments of kshatriya heavy cavalry were raised to aid in the defense of the realm. Intensive irrigation projects were performed in the regions of Preikuk and Wuliang while fountains, public plazas, libraries and public schools (and enclosed sewers) are built in the city of Indrapura. The regions of Sagaing and Nam Pung were cleared of trees and readied for cultivation. The city of Isanapura continued to grow - the only city to do so since the pirate attacks off the coast of Cochin. A great festival was held in the city to when merchants from Rajput arrive to begin trading in the market place.
Prince Ru Kayahvarman, having gained his rank through marriage, was given the opportunity to show that he deserved it when he is given the title of Dread Judge of the Southern Cannibals, assigned a mercenary force and ordered to bring justice to the Pirates on the Isle of Kepeluan (payback for their activity off Cochin's coast, and for their impudence). But unfortunately the Prince didn't have enough mercs and was outnumbered 3 to 1 by the Pirates and his force was wiped out and he perished.
On a sad note tragedy struck the Empire when the young and beautiful Asamakaran Princess Geeta suddenly took ill and passed away in a fortnight leaving the Heir devastated...

Primate Ben-Cupta became sick and bedridden was called to Kali's side in the year 727 at age 60 (he wasn't able to finish tithing Champa). A mere bishop was chosen to replace him; he was picked over two archbishops from Champa that many within the temple thought were more qualified for the job. Meanwhile the Temple's leaders were quite successful in establishing several new sites and things were quiet after all of those visions and apparitions of the proceeding years (in fact maybe too quiet...).
New Grandmaster Vishnu stabilized his order and waited for guidance, while his order suffered though a famine...

New Emperor Eknath consolidated his hold on his Empire and gathered some troops to protect him as he ruled. He also married and his new wife blessed him with a son and daughter. For some reason, he then promoted his brother to heir not waiting for his new born son to grow up. Meanwhile his grandfather the retired Emperor Ilore was still puttering around in his garden at the monastery and celebrated his 80th birthday.
A massive effort was undertaken to bring the region of Kakatiya back into the Asamakaran fold, the Emperor had all his older relations married off into the region to gain both stronger diplomatic ties, and remove their influence from the count to secure his ascension to the throne. In addition 5 leaders were sent to Kakatiya and it became friendly despite one leader disappearing without a trace (rumor had it that he supported bringing back the retired Emperor Ilore). His brothers (Princes) were tasked with founding a colony in the Nicobars where a fleet can be stationed in case the Pirates try to push further west toward Asamakaran waters. Elsewhere the usual masses of missionaries again swarmed the northlands, and were incredibly successful.
Emperor Versha kept on the go; he gathered some troops and personally went to city of Bihar to find out about Prince Samudra's death (with help from his Intel Corps). He didn't find out much, but did find out that the Prince had a Rod of Rulership in his possession and the Emperor recovered it. While the Emperor was busy turning things upside-down in the city, another of his leaders with his small army pacified the city.
Elsewhere another leader went to the city of Lhasa and left his troops outside of it as he went in to talk to the city's leaders to convince the to forsake Rajput and join Palas. Well the talks didn't go too good, the city leader had him beaten up and thrown outside the city...
Emperor Admohi sent a pair of very poor and disappointing leaders (who messed up earlier) on missions (exile) to the north, one died on the trip and the other is still sitting out there waiting for further orders. The Emperor as his last act before retiring and placing Heir Birju upon the throne was to assist in bringing the city of Varansi into the Empire. A scholar brought to the new Emperor Birju's notice that the Takla-Maklan desert has been expanding for the past few decades, but the new Emperor told the scholar not to bother him with such mere trifle, and had the scholar thrown in chains into the royal dungeon.

Emperor Qutlugh again did the same old same old "him ruling and his heir administrating" scenario this time with his young grandson the new Heir. Therefore his Heir was by his side when the Emperor took ill (at only 59 years old) and passed away in a fortnight. Moltke the Heir was crowned Emperor of Kara-Khitai at age twenty-two with no opposition. Within the Empire technology improved with better farming and irrigation methods leaned from its neighbors. On a side note: the Black Beast wasn't caught or killed despite the large reward offered for it, but it also wasn't heard from either.
Plagued by poor health and the rigors of old age (in his seventies) the Shah Ahmorad stayed in Shadad and with a liberal sprinkling of trinkets; he waxed lyrical on the advantages of becoming a friend to the Parthians. Unfortunately the Shah dropped dead during a banquet in his honor, face down into a soup bowl. That put a damper on the talks and the remaining leader got nowhere. The Heir quickly succeeded his father with no one contesting his right to rule, and just as quick promoted his sons to Heir and Prince.
Within the Empire there was a poor harvest and there was famine throughout the Empire with thousands starving to death. Rumor had it that a Black Beast was spotted in one of the border regions, but there were no reports of anybody killed by it.
Well the good news was that the Church's Tech caught up with the Persians. The bad news was what the Patriarch Tulnamon fumed about: it started with the cathedral he had personally founded in the city of Sinope being washed away by a Tsunami. The Tsunami was caused by a mid-size meteor that hit the city of Aslan in Abasigia, totally destroying the city and region and severity damaging the adjacent regions. The Tsunami raced across two sea zones of the Black Sea and Mare Negri, devastating their coastlines and destroying 5 of 6 cities. Only the city of Constantinople survived do to its large size, its tall city walls, its city fortress and a great wall protecting one side. The Church suffered the lost of six Church sites by the Meteor / Tsunami, and after the disaster the Patriarch personally oversaw establishment of churches in Paphlagonia, Galatia, and even the ruined city of Zongal to help treat the injured, and feed the survivors.
New ShahanShah Kavadh ruled a little on the poor side and spent more time searching through numerous potential brides but didn't find one to suit his exuberant tastes, consequently the empire suffered from thin government. He also promoted Prince Vahram to become his Heir, and his brother Khosru, he elevated to Prince. The ShahanShah had built a new Megalithic construct in Mesopotamia called: "The Ziggurat of the Light" to commemorate the victory over the ERE and the 500th anniversary of the House of Sassan's rule (227-727). He then ordered two acts of retribution, 1st to the Norse, he sent half the Persian fleet and troops to raid THEM back (in Mordaland), and the 2nd was regional genocide that was preformed in Cappodocia for the raid from that corner (destroying all traces of Celtic/ Orthodox Christianity there).
The war ended after 45 years (with much rejoicing) with a peace treaty signed by ERE and Persia in Smyrna,
Grandmaster Sanve issued no orders.
NO ORDERS RECEIVED...
It was over in a bright flash of light...
Destroyed by Mid-sized Meteor...
Sultan Gaffar kept command of his army under his thumb, ready to react at a moments notice. He vowed that no sea creature would interfere with his Sultanate as he ordered his fleet rebuilt after the trashing by that serpent. Again he sent the Aden Fleet down south with a pair of leaders (even joined up with a local ally to help) with orders to locate and kill it, but they had no luck in finding the beast. The only news of the creature was that it killed a leader in the Boraha Sea, who was exploring the arrow to Mauritius before he could return home with any rutters.
Khan Mongke led his horde his horde into the East and into the annals of history with an epic battle against the Chinese, the Horde held is own against the larger force until the Khan and his Heir fell in battle and the tide of war turned against them.
Defeated... (And scattered to the four winds...)

Emperor Merakh ordered 14,000 troops in Tunisia demobilized for city construction and colonization. At the same time as he remained as always vigilant to any threats against the Egyptian Empire (with his enormous army). He also ordered another large gold payment made to the Pirates and WRE. He decided it was time to let his Heir rule (and propagate), but found out that the Heir had a poor understanding of the workings of the government (Maybe Egypt is going to have the same troubles the WRE had with its Heirs). Elsewhere the Egyptian and Axum fleets had joint maneuvers in the Ionian Sea and seem to be checking out every fleet that passing through the sea zone looking for something or somebody (they failed their roll to notice the sea battle on the other side of Vulcan). In the meantime the city of Damascus revolted for some strange reason...
Out of the blue the Theban Master Octavious decided to attack the Pirates of the Med even although they hadn't bothered the Thebans. Historians record it as some kind of preventive strike. He ordered his fleets to head straight to Vulcan thru the Sea of Libya, while many of his fleet captains suggest at hit from the Ionian Sea side would be more surprising, but the strong-willed Master Octavious would take none of their advice...
The Thebans attacked with two fleets, one battle-fleet of warships that screened a transport-fleet of transports loaded with troops. The Thebans arrived in the Sea of Libya with not a Pirate ship in sight, and the scout ships reported that Port Vulcan's harbor was empty. They were just starting to make preparations to land their troops when a fleet was sighted in the West, it was flying the Pirates colors, the Thebans battle-fleet engaged the Pirates while the transport-fleet held back, the first round of battle was a stalemate, but unluckily for the Thebans their best leader Master Octavious was with the Transports, while the Pirates had theirs fighting in the sea battle. As the Pirates began to get the upper hand, the Thebans ordered the Transport-fleet to retreat and their battle-fleet took heavy loses screening their escape.
Patriarch Cyril's poor heath (that was caused by the fever he caught in Gefara) went from bad to worse and he passed away in the year 727 (another leader with him also died of the same fever). With the war over the Church returned to peacetime operations and demobilized 47,600 troops. The Church in addition also tried to foolishly cultivate two desert regions which everybody knows is impossible. The Church for some strange reason made no attempt to free the two Bishops imprisoned by local authorities, and one died alone in his cell. Again Coptic Missionaries sent to the former Vandal lands met with some success in converting the populace.
Lord Capt Red Markusum took his fleet on a voyage to claim the Island of Mobaka for himself and his mates. Upon returning home he spied two large fleets outside his door, and exclaimed "How dare those weaseling landlubbers dare attack us while we were not home!" He then ordered his men and warships to send them all down to the bottom of the sea were they can meet Davy Jones and his locker...
(See The Campaign against the Pirates [726-?] for details...)
King Sarantino II decided that going to war with the Lombards wasn't on his list of things to do, so he accepted a gold payment from them for the region of Catalonia and its city. To make up for the loss, Sicily retook control of Baelerics and its city from the Knight Defenders (although the Defenders didn't seem ready to hand over its city) by having a Sicilian leader show up with a small fleet and troops that used minimum force to take control of them both. At the same time another Sicilian leader named Lord Carlito with his troops found and destroyed a SE site in the city of Palermo.
Grandmaster Armand ruled his new Mercenary Order quite well. He signed contracts with Sicily, Ispan, Goths, ERE and even Axum to help with part or all of their defenses. He also ordered the Baeleric Islands transferred to Sicily and wasn't pleased when they also took its city (he had wanted to hold on to it a little longer). Another setback occurred when the city of Eusebiys was wiped out by a Tsunami and killed one of his leaders there.

The Emperor Djibuti ordered the Black Staff handed over to him, and went back to reigning. He ordered built a replica of ancient Israel's Solomon's temple in Soro, and sent the usual foodstuffs to his Coptic allies. With the war over, his Empire returned to a more peaceful stance by demobilizing some troops. At the same time, three of his leaders continued their search under rocks for any SEs, but came up empty-handed this time.
King Thandiwe still trailed in the road building contest with his northern neighbor, he only ordered one road built this time. Many were concerned that he was suffering from poor health even although he was only in his forties, but he was well enough to welcome Kujuwakwangu "The Great Thinker" to his land, and watched as the Great Thinker helped improve Siege techniques.
New Patriarch Alphonse gave one last excommunication for Sicily and Arius in memory of Patriarch Ralston (not much came of it) and then left for South America (they tried to hide it, but it was obvious to everybody).
Emperor Verhanu ruled and he ordered Prince Zula to command a joint Axum-Egyptian naval force to cleanse the Med of the Pirate scourge but the Prince didn't find any pirates... The Emperor also signed a contract with the Knight Defenders for protection for the Axum port of Athenos. Elsewhere, diplomacy and missionary work continued and many public works were built to improve the quality of life.
Emperor Vivek hired Mercs and led his army to restore control in the region of Ras Hafun, then returned home to rule and spent some time with his wife. Back home Hindi heritage displayed its strongest paranoia this century. Religious texts were consulted to compare the current troubles with ancient prophecy. The ruling class was certain that slaves shouldn't act against karma that delivered them unto their current state, but they are also very aware neighbors may be causing trouble. As the old Shivan axiom goes "Better safe than sorry". As most of his leaders were ordered to search and re-search under rocks to see what crawled out. Meanwhile in the religious vaults (filled with religious texts) part of a scroll was found, on it was inscribed in blood: "That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange eons even death may die" Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Ktulu R'lyeh wagn'nagl fhtagn....
King Lumbago continued to rule the country with the help of his Heir administering. Prince Marwan was in Mbundu on diplomatic mission and while on a hunt in his honor when he was dragged away by a huge white lion and never seen again. Another leader was sent with a small army to enslave the population of the region of Matabele after they refused talks. Also Gold was sent to KwaZulu to help persuade them to become Hindu.
King Shaka Zulu ruled his people and sent his Heir on diplomatic mission to Karoo from which the Heir didn't return. The talk within the king's tribal council was that the King didn't expect him to return (because the Heir was the source of all the Kingdom's corruption). The King then appointed his own son as heir.

Cardinal Basil (a very extraordinary church leader) and another leader began their work on converting the Goths to the Celtic Faith. He received news that back home a council of Bishops had chosen him to be the next Pope. By the way, the Church leader that was thrown into prison in Holstein was broken out of jail by the Intel corps and made it to Paris, with no help or hindrance from the Alamanni government. (Alamanni also refused a tithe, while Lombards and St.George accepted.)
King Jensef again stood ready with his army to react to any invasions. In oreder to keep his Viking warriors sharp, he set them raiding Danish lands and islands, along with running some more anti-piracy patrols. A pair of leaders went searching for cultic activity, they found nothing, but one said he caught a glimpse of a man with antlers growing from his head. King Nordberth ruled with style. He ordered of four of his leaders to investigate the strange happenings and search for secret societies, In Minsk two of them, saw something in the shadows, one of them dropped dead with a look of fright on his face. The east coast was heavy damaged and the city of Constantinople was almost destroyed (if not for its high city walls and great wall to one side). Elsewhere the news was not much better as the country had a bad harvest and suffered from a famine that killed thousands. Almost unnoticed was further expansion into the Balkans.
[See The Second Romano-Zoroastrian War (681-726)].
Emperor Helmat Wise-Counsel ruled while three of his leaders administered. He also reassigned some troops amongst his leaders. It was a quiet and uneventful time except for a large investment in the country's infrastructure (at least for this backwater country). The Royal Court was still worried about the depleted royal family and barren nursery and rumor had it that the King wasn't the marring kind and he was more comfortable with a good book in his bed than a woman...

Alistar II, Mark of Ispan, left Estremadura to go and hold talks with the city of Sagunto (and to get his Heir a new wife). He had sent the Sicilians a large gold payment for the city of Sagunto and wanted to get it into the March as soon as he could. In his absence from the capital he left his heir ruling the March, but the Heir continued to rule poorly, but this time he had two princes helping him so there wasn't any more thin government. Meanwhile a leader died in Sagunto of his wounds suffered during the previous takeover of Catalonia and the failed siege of its city.
Grandmaster Petros personally oversaw the successful building of an Order Estates in Granada. In these troubling times he had problems with a gold shortage ever since the move from the ERE the order has been in the red. Luckily the Lombards have been sending them gold, but this time they didn't (they paid the Sicilians instead). The Grandmaster didn't know how to make ends meet, until he came up with a plan to ask the Lombards for a tithe, which thankfully they agreed to. The Grandmaster also got some more good news when some survivors from the lost fleet turn up. Meanwhile some of his leaders were able to increase the order's status in the NRE, but another was tarred and feathered and run out of the ERE...
King Artos II began his reign over his Kingdom, with Prince Ihan administering. He was a lot bolder than his father had been and ordered the expansion of the Kingdom into Munster (and military converted it) totally disregarding the Norse's claims to the region. While another leader went looking for the sea monster in the Irish Sea and spotted the magnificent beast entering the Celtic Sea and failed to escape with his life...(An old Amorica saying is: "Be careful what you search for, you might find it")
The frisky old goat Emperor Maximus continued to rule with gusto, and despite being in his seventies the old goat fathered a few more kids, until after a night of lovemaking with his 3rd wife he was found dead and naked in their bed. He had outlived many of his heirs and his new Heir Theodosius returned from his trip to Burgundy to begin his rule. Surprising there was no challenge to his rule, but it turned out that he was half the ruler his father had been (no surprise there). Elsewhere a pair of leaders again overwhelmed the local lords of Aquitaine with gifts of gold and praise and the region became friendly. At the same time as another pair of leaders were sent out with their fleet on pirate patrol to defend the Tyrrhennian Sea against those dreadful pirates, but the Pirates were very busy elsewhere with their own troubles... On a side note the internal bank collapsed, but it wasn't being used anyway.
Empress Armania did nothing as the Empire suffered a thin government.

NOTE: The Albions bought horses to the new world and the cavalry count has been completed and there are herds of horses roaming the Great Plains along with the buffalo ... (Completed for Central America too, but not South America)

Chief Eaglewing ruled quite well. The Chief sent his Heir Eaglewing II and all his other leaders on diplomatic missions, but they found a couple of regions were empty except for some herds of deer, and pair of them died of Smallpox.
Chief Black Feather started his new rule by having all of his leaders administer. Nothing much happened; things were quiet within his Nation, maybe too quiet...
Chief Ten Bears and his son Prince Pouncing Lynx the Heir together they were ready to react with their armies to counter any threats to the Federation. Things went smoothly except that one of his leaders died of Smallpox.
Chief Wild Oaks performed the ole "him ruling and his Prince administrating" scenario and he finally found a suitable wife to show some wild oats with to produce some heirs. He saw tragedy strike as his Prince and all his leaders die of Smallpox. Afterwards he promoted his brother named Burning Branch to become his heir and another brother to replace the deceased Prince.
Chief Hatawin II ruled and left the child-making to his heir Hatawin III and his first wife. A pair of leaders searched under logs and rocks for something, while another leader was sent with a small army to guard Navajo, this time only one leader got to do nothing.
King Barrett II did thee ole "King rule, Heir administer" dance step with positive results again. Also he and his advisors still couldn't figure out the Crystal Skull, even with the help of Intel Corps, but this time its eyes didn't lit. Meanwhile Lord Alexander Yaoti went with some troops to claim the region of Coahuila, then afterwards journeyed to Apache to defend it. With help from the Yokut and new road was built between their nations to help with trade, and maybe beginning a new era of cooperation between them.

Emperor Pryzaka's Heir Mathew returned from his mission of vengeance in Pisones a changed man (with a lot blood on his hands). The Heir refused to return his troops to the garrison and astonished his grandfather by throwing him into a dungeon and taking over the throne and Empire. Surprising only one region rebelled over this, but that was not the worse of it, as an epidemic of Smallpox swept the entire Empire killing half of the royal family and one in ten of the empire's subjects. Elsewhere Prince Paul went on a diplomatic mission to Kekchi and Achi. In Kekchi he found it deserted and covered in a foot of ash, but couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. In Achi he had better luck and convinced the local lords there to become a feudal ally.
Patriarch Cullen ap Denez waited for some orders.

Lord Captain Blackjack Sparrow strategically moved his troops about and tightened his grip on his little empire. He stood ready (with his grand fleet) to counter any attacks if any of his neighbors should suddenly develop a backbone.
Emperor Juan Valdez II ordered another temple built in his religious complex and hoped it wasn't going to be his tomb, as the "Black Death" was bearing down on his Empire. The Emperor prayed at the religious complex that the plague would not be too bad, and to show strength he ordered the Empire to keep building. He then had his Heir join him and together they sacrificed some more slaves to consecrate the new temple. Meanwhile the Emperor's worse fear came true when the Black Death devastated the region of Moquequa; and those it didn't kill fled into the surrounding regions and perhaps spread the plague some more...
King Garvin ruled quite easily from his new capital (but a leader administering missed up quite a bit), but found it harder to keep up the technology levels of North Africa here in the jungles of South America. He in addition organized his Heir and other leaders to provide the best defense of his Kingdom in its new home. He also reduced the following governmental services: Religious ops and bonus, Intel op bonus, and Assassin ops and two bonuses. He figured that his country wouldn't need them as much in the simple life in South America compared to the way it was with those cutthroats (Coptic dogs) back in Africa (and support costs desperately needed to be cut).
New Patriarch Alphonse give one last excommunicate for Sicily and Arius in memory of Patriarch Ralston (not much came of it) and then left for South America (they tried to hide it, but it was obvious to everybody).
Chief Tovaro ruled and kept his inapt Heir administering, but at least the heir continued sire some more grandkids, so he was good for something beside diplomacy. Elsewhere cultivation of Tapayos was started which set the locals into a rage and they rebel over having their jungle cut down. Prince Kuvuru reacted to the revolt with his small army and promptly got his butt kick by the Tapayos locals (400 of his troops killed).
In addition the rumors that spoke of a new group of white-men arriving in South America in their big wooden ships was true and they started trade with the newcomers for weird items like a large ring-shaped thing that goes on a chair for which the only purpose seemed to be to make your butt numb...
