Welcome to L27, I am your GM for this chaotic world of the dark ages; my name is Chet S. My Lords GM address is: Lords27gm@throneworld.com for orders and L27 stuff, and my L27 paypal address is: Chetb5@snet.net
***Turn fee is now a $6.00 donation starting T43, and there is also a $6.00 donation for a startup fee for new players, since most people did not pay by credit card (or did not pay the $.50), and paypal was still charging me a fee on everything (and the turn fee has been at $5 for a long time and the cost of running the game has gone up). Also I do not accept any personal checks as my bank charges me a $20 fee for any bounced checks that I deposit...(Money orders & certified checks are ok.)
Any nation that reaches a -$12.00 balance without making an arrangement with me will not be processed, and not sending orders in for three turns in a row in addition to not making payments, will force me open your country to a new player who has the time and money...
I have policy of no switching nations if your balance is in the red, until that negative balance is paid and you must also pay for one turn ahead so you're in the black.
BTW if your orders form doesn't have a yellow highlight section (with a red section under it) in the middle of it, you are using the wrong sheet and need to download a new one from the file section of this site or at the L27 home site at:
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Lords-27/files/L27_Excel_orders_template.xls
If you do not have Microsoft Excel, there is a free version of Office called OpenOffice that will open, edit and save Excel file at: http://www.openoffice.org/
Do not put new or old projects in the builds section of the Order form; they only go in the new or old projects section, and do not delete any part of the order form that you are not using, just leave the unused sections blank and do not add any page-breaks either.
Make sure your e-mail address is right in your orders, that is the address the program will send your stat sheet to... and that it has the right turn number too!
Troop builds: If your leader is in the region already or will be in that region to pick up your newly built troops, don't build troops for the garrison and then have him pick them up, just build troops for him (he still has to go and pick them up).
Mercenaries: Remember that you MUST specify a city where you are hiring the Mercs. Failure to do this will result in no Mercs and the money being lost. Also, mercenaries may not be hired for more than one turn at a time. This may change when the Years per Turn reduces sufficiently enough for a contract to carry over to multiple turns. PLEASE put where you are hiring any mercenaries AND how many you are trying to hire AND how much you are willing to pay per point of troops in your builds section on the order form. PLEASE put this information in the notes section at the end of your builds. Otherwise you will not get the mercenaries and the GPs bid on them will be lost.
For expanding cities please put the name of the city in location, not just the region it is in. Also for WP for fortress always put the region in for Location and for WP for cities always put in the city name for location. Last but not least in the item column in the build section do NOT write out fully what your building please use the codes, for example: your building 10 elite infantry, do NOT write "Build 10 elite infantry", instead write 10ei and do that for all units and also put no space between 10 and ei (the lords program reads it this way.).
Claimed Regions and Cities: These regions and cities will be noted by a dot in your color, not a full color shading of the region.
Order format: Please name your orders L27_T42_NationName.xls. (Don't forget to save your orders with your nation name in it)
BTW: please use abbreviations in the rules for Intel commands (CI for counter intelligence, etc) and for units (f for field forts, etc).
Heirs and Princes: Unless stated otherwise in your orders, when a King's male child comes of age he is promoted to Heir (if he has none, then grandson, then any male child in royal family). Likewise when any male child comes of age he is promoted to Prince if there is an opening and I don't forget to check.
Please let me know if PWB are for a city or a region by putting a "c" or "r" in fount of it like this: 10rPWB.
From now on if your leader has NO name he or she gets NO action.
***If you have the time, it would help me write the newsfax if you write a sentence or two or even a paragraph, a summary on what your country and its leaders are trying to accomplish during the turn...

Shogun Aro continued his attempt to strengthen his hold on the mainland by trying to get Amgu's lords to improve relations with the Shogunate but his lack of diplomatic skills was obvious. Elsewhere the great explorer Lord Kama returned flush with success with rutters for Kiska arrow, while Lord Iohume was mistakenly sent to colonize the new world without the rutters to reach it (the Shogun was very impatient for some new world gold), he [Iohume] instead started exploring Puget Sound. Once again the rest of the Shogun's leaders were sent on diplomatic missions that were for the most part successful. Another very large gold payment was made to the Kannagara with some more Argo. Bad news arrived with the outbreak of Lassen fever in the city of Ueshiba that completely wiped it out. Luckily that outbreak was contained in the city and didn't spread to nearby ones (rumor had it that the outbreak started in the Kannagara site in the city).
Grandmaster Korizawa again kept up his never ending defense of Amgu by spending long days and sleepless nights drawing up complicated defense plans for the region and was pleased that more reinforcements arrived that he could add to his plans. His leaders were either attempting to establish new sites or bringing reinforcements to him (or helping him with the defense plans). He was filled with discontent about the reports an outbreak of Lassen fever in the city of Ueshiba that wiped it out (luckily that outbreak was contained in the city and didn't spread to nearby ones). The outbreak started in their order Peceptory in the city and wiped it out too.
Emperor Gang Hong-Rip just spent his time ruling until he was imprisoned by his son and heir Kim Dae-Jung. Kim was approaching his fifties and was tired of waiting for his father to die of old age (at 64 the old man was still going strong and might live into his nineties.). Since he [Kim Dae-Jung] was granted command of all the country's troops he decided to use them to take over and imprison his father. Sadly Prince Yi San-Sain tried to help his father and paid for it with his life. All of this gave the royal court something more to worry about than just the problem of no heirs.
Emperor Tuoba Dao did the same old same old "him ruling and his heir administrating" scenario, but surprisingly the Emperor continue to reproduce while the heir did not even marry, on a sad note the Emperor's wife died in childbirth with their third son in five years. The Buddhist priests after decades of trying to get the populace to embrace new technology saw their efforts backfire and the country re-embrace the old ways that might be the beginning of a dark age for China... Elsewhere the Empires agents were searching high and low for something or somebody within the Empire and its capital.
Emperor Lui Zhaokang personally led diplomatic talks (with help from all his leaders) with the region of Kiangsu and got them become friendlier. Honan's religious ops did a successful reform religion against the Mahayana Buddhist which left many wondering if it had anything to with what happen next.
Primate Tan Man Kang died in late 716 along with two of his top leaders. All three were brutally murdered and their bodies ripped up so badly that it was hard to tell which parts belong to which leader. Those that remained rejoined with the Theravada Buddhist to band together in this Dark Age to become the Buddhist Temple. (Rumor had it that the Theravadas were already running their government anyway..)
Merged with Theravada Buddhist.
Lord Captain Hu Di ruled the seas of the Orient and Southeast Asia.

Emperor Hu Dong was ever vigilant with his massive army always ready to defend his Empire at the drop of a pin. While his Heir ruled in his stead and propagated, but continued to rule quite poorly, which doesn't bode well for the future. Prince Hu Zhang had been given a sizeable army years earlier and he stood ready to react to any trouble within the Empire (rumor had it that he was as trustworthy as a rat, but the Emperor's Army was more than twice the size of his so he remained quite loyal.)
Primate Dewei was ecstatic that he was able to get the two Buddhist faiths reunited again after over 125 years. Many within the Temple credited the Theravada Intel ops for infiltrating the Mahayana government, but the Primate stressed the need for unity in these Dark Ages and stand against the dark shadows that have arisen against the Buddhist faith. While in his private chambers the Primate was disappointed that his Intel could find no clues regarding his predecessor's bloody disappearance, the report was that it seemed like he vanished from the face of the earth.(Also no info on Priest Na's death for the matter.)
Emperor Gnialat II died a horrible death as the blood in his veins turned to dust and he withered away to almost nothing on his 54 birthday.. His death left the Empire with thin government as his Heir was away from home, the Heir was too busy wooing a new wife. Prince Airlanng also caught the wasting sickness and died a couple of years after the Emperor, after that two other leaders slumped to the sickness. After all this sickness and death, the rise of the pirates in the East went almost unnoticed.
Emperor Tri Jayaavarman II took over ruling from his inapt Heir. He then ordered the poor bastard to spend all his time providing some grandkids with his new beautiful Asamakara princess of a wife. Oh, the unlucky soul, doomed to that fate. The Emperor also ordered Lord Vu Khieu to lead a force of 3,000 horse and 5,000 foot to the region of Sarawak on the island of Borneo. There Lord Vu Khieu oversaw the removal of the "untrustworthy" Malay inhabitants and the start of the settlement of the region by Cham yeomen. Thus he brought harmony back to the kingdom - for is it not written: "The strength of the nation lies in those who reap the bounty of the land". Within the boundaries of Champa only the Cham, Shan and Polynesians can be trusted with this responsibility. Any other arrangement can only lead to chaos and disturb the spirits of our ancestors." Elsewhere Lord Ru Singh got a mission to explore the Flores Sea, going with a small fleet of heavy transports undefended by any warships and was never seen again. Many at the royal court whispered that the pirates shanghaied him.

Primate Ben-Cupta decided to travel to Africa to establish the first temple after his advisors told him that the Temple's range had expanded enough to reach it. Meanwhile back home, a pair of archbishops died of what looked like old age, and another bishop named Rama was given a large army of most of the Temple's troops and he revolted in Malabar.
Grandmaster Ajit ruled and was pleased to hear that the famine was over due to a record harvest.

Emperor Madahtri (ruled and IMA) ordered construction a new religious megalith in Malabar called the "Temple of Flowers", he threw gold around like it was candy with an extravagant ceremony to commemorate the engagement of his daughter Gita to the Palas Heir and provide him with a huge dowry. But worse yet a major accounting error was made concerning income, that wasn't caught until after one large payment was sent to Afriqan and a huge payment was sent to Palas (the wedding dowry). This left a huge defect in the treasury causing a quarter of government, troops, project support, etc, to not get paid, which left many grumbling troops and government workers on the verge of revolt (and with many calling for retired Emperor Ilore's return.).
Emperor Versha ruled and was prepared to defend his homeland, while his young heir journeyed to fetch his Asamakara bride and her huge dowry. Everything was peaceful and quiet after the end of the civil war in India. Maybe too quiet. Maybe it was the calm before another storm? Elsewhere Prince Skanda suddenly keeled over when his heart stopped at the age of 57, leaving his troops leaderless in Assam.
Emperor Admohi's first concern was the security of his Empire, he ordered scores of field forts built across his lands. He and his army stood ready to act in case the civil war started up again, and he even took some time to father some heirs. To further fortify his empire he ordered three port fortress built, but there were already regional fortress there. [The GM changed the region fortress symbol to make it less confusing] Tragically the Heir Crown Prince Natraj died during a hunting accident during a break from administering. The Emperor cremated his son, believing that the burning of a dead body signifies the release of the spirit and that the flames represent Brahma, the creator. After the cremation, the royal family had a feast and offer prayers in their palace. Mourners washed and changed completely before entering the palace after the funeral. A priest visited and purified the palace with spices and incense. This was the beginning of the 13-day mourning period when friends will visit and offer their condolences. After that the Emperor promoted his son Birju to Heir. Outside the Empire the holy city of Lhasa agreed to become a non-paying tributary of the Empire just as the region of Tibet became naturally cultivated.
Caliph Abu Bakr died of some kind of wasting away disease that swept through his lands like dark shadows before the dusk and killed millions. The remains of the Emirate brew away like dust in the wind...

Emperor Qutlugh again did the same old same old "him ruling and his heir administrating" scenario with the addition of the Heir's wife giving birth to some grandkids. Nevertheless the Emperor was also ready to defend his glorious Empire at a moment's notice. Elsewhere elderly lord Sojutan finally rode off into the sunset at age 77, messing up diplomacy in Turkmen.
Shah Ahmorad ruled.
New player for T45...
Patriarch Tulnamon personally paid respects to his deceased predecessor (Zarutha) by journeying to the city of Sinope and establishing a monastery there in Zarutha's honor. He also preformed a church service for him there too. The Church received some good news that it was able to expand its infrastructure to counter its problem with thin government.
ShahanShah Shapur (who received more troops from Vahram VII) who happened to be more diplomatic then his late father went and had face-to-face talks with the rebel-lord Khadames. He offeried him full amnesty and also the hand of Princess Rana in marriage. (Rana will retire and Khadames will be elevated to a full Prince of the Realm) The ambitious Khadames readily agreed to the terms and rejoined the Empire along with Lebanon and its city and of course his army. Meanwhile tribute was sent to the Mongols in the form of a large shipment of gold and agro. There was in addition news of increased pirate activity in the Med but for some reason the Pirates left the Persian shipping alone.
The war's progress continued to be hindered with ShahanShah becoming sidetracked this time with dealing with his rebel-lord in Lebanon. The Persian troops that were sent north to help with the Colchis defense were recalled home to deal with the rebellion. Many were saying or hopping that the war was over, none the less the Greeks again took advantage of the continuance of this lull to carry on with their rebuilding of their defenses, the taking care of some more vermin, and also finding some new allies.Elsewhere there were a few token Intel attacks, all from the Zoro side.
Grandmaster Sanve stayed home to defend it, while the only good news to reach him was that the port city fortress of Diacira in Apalia was built, Even with that project one of the two leaders passed away, luckily the other was able to finish it.Another leader passed away in Kuwait City when they found different parts of him in different quarters of the city. This foiled the establishment of an important order estate.
[See The Second Romano-Zoroastrian War (681-)].
Autarch Nasim again gathered all his forces to organize another last stand against the Mongols at Abasigia (with a small Farohars force's help). He was sure they would attack the Capital this time and was expecting Persian help. Sadly no Persian help (they had their own troubles) came, so they were reduce to cowering in their capital as the Mongol Horde wrecked havoc with the rest of the dictatorship, but surprisingly didn't attack the Capital.

After Sultan Gaffar again Interfered in Mercantile Affairs and he once more stood ready to defend his sandy land (incl. HC). His was the most peaceful and serene of the Zoro regimes, yet he more than doubled the size of his fleet. He ordered some more public works built on the island of Madagascar, to increase the size of the Sultanate's breadbasket but the shipment of gold for the public works was lost when Prince Ali and all his ships disappeared without a trace (rumors that a monster from the depths of the sea got him, or maybe he has retire on some tropical island). None the less the breadbasket that was Madagascar did in fact help stop the famine his people were suffering horribly for so many long years.

Emperor Merakh was more than prepared to respond to any invasions of Egypt proper with his enormous army. While his Heir Abubakar II in remained in Gefara defending it and he was ordered to destroy the Arian Tower and Arian Church site in Gefara. Suddenly just after the tower fell, the Heir was struck down by blue bolt of lightning and killed! (From a freak storm off the Gefara coast) Princess Lyrissia wept over his burnt body then stood up wiped the tears off her face and took command of her bother's army (unfortunately even after 20 years of helping her brother she still couldn't comprehend even basic military tactics). Back at home the Emperor kept his word and ordered more field forts built in the recaptured lands to keep them under tight Egyptian control. Another leader died too as Bishop Drebus' body was found washed up on the Danakil shore covered in faded markings. Once more there was a new round of student unrest and uprising in the capital complaining about God knows what. Within the Empire the Emperor ordered the building of a Monolith Project in the region of Egypt and called it the "Hall of Heroes", it was built to commemorate the great non-royal leaders of Egypt. The legendary war general Lord Marakash was recalled home to be the first great Egyptian hero to be added to the hall for his great leadership skills, long years of service, and his strength during a stint in a Vandal prison. Lord Marakah passed away contently in his sleep a couple of years later (at age 78), his sarcophagus placed with honor inside the "Hall of Heroes".
After over 30 years the Coptic War (Holy Grail War) slowed almost a halt. Egypt did not advance but dug in and strengthened its hold on the regions it had recaptured, while the Thebans failed to raid Tunisia. Where as military things stayed quiet, they continued to make up for that with a fury of Intel and Assassin attacks from mostly the Coptic side. Elsewhere both WRE and Axum lost ships or fleets to the Pirates although it can't be said for sure if they were working for themselves or the Vandals. Speaking of the Vandals they withdrew to Merrakesh evacuating everything they could carry and burning the rest rather then leaving it for the Coptic Dogs...
The Theban Master Octavious lasted longer than anybody expected, in fact there were no assassin attempts on his life at all! He had his troops loaded aboard ships at Balearics and they returned to Alexandria to get more troops before going to and unloading them in Gefara. Elsewhere a raid into Tunisia was aborted when its leader died in an accident, and also another leader in the region of Egypt who was given no orders, washed up dead on the beach with faded markings covering him, and a third leader fell overboard in Alexandria and his body was recovered all chewed up. So while the Master was lucky to still be alive, half his leaders were not so lucky.
[See The Coptic Wars (686-) in Egypt section, for the war's details]
Patriarch Mark pulled back his holy army to the region of Egypt to help with the defenses there. In the spring of 717 he retired to this chamber to sleep the eternal sleep, he was 80 years old. Within the Church it seems that church sites have stabilized and stopped degrading in Kanem and Akan after a Monastery was built in Kreda, but there was not much left there to degrade. Back in the Holy city Archbishop Cyril was elected by a Bishop's Council to become the next Patriarch.
[See The Coptic Wars (686-) in Egypt section, for the war's details]
Emperor Verhanu took a little time out from ruling (+HC), and paid a quick visit to Kosti to try and get it to join the Empire. Perhaps he paid too quick a visit because even although he lavished the local lords with gifts of gold, they would only acknowledge a claim to the region. Prince Zula was ordered by the Emperor react to and Pirate fleet preying on Coptic trade and he did by attacking a small Pirate fleet, but soon after they engaged the Pirates a larger Pirate fleet attacked them from the stern. Only with Prince Zula considerable skill and commanding presence was the fleet able to escape the trap and return to port at all (with over half of it sunk by the Pirates). Meanwhile one of two leaders sent to Ad'Diffah with troops disappeared from his tent in the middle of the night, his body was found close by in the desert, he died from being skinned alive and nobody had even heard his screams.Elsewhere diplomatic talks in Kordofan took a turn for the worse when the Heir told a joke that the Feudal Ally Kabbabish took to be off-color and insulting. He told the Heir were he could stick it as he left the talks and the Empire sure lost status with that region.
Emperor Vivek just ruled and promoted his son Vijay to Heir at his coming of age sacred thread celebration. He in addition ordered the royal navy expanded over concern about reports of a sea monster to the south that might cause some trouble. Disgustingly Lord Rohit's head was found in Berbera with his body nowhere in sight; rumor had it that he was involved in some kind of Intel action.
New King Lumbago perform the ole "him ruling and his heir administrating" scenario (only Heir HC). The Great Thinker Kujuwakwangu continued his work improving warship techniques. Two leaders died of old age or accidents, while a Prince (while preaching) was impaled on a spear by inhabitants of the region of Matabele enraged by the Missionaries blunders.

Grandmaster Segun Odegbami issued no orders.

The Emperor Djibuti pleased the royal court by siring some heirs, and the royal nursery heard babies' cries for the first time in ages. The Emperor then ordered a couple of leaders to investigate a couple of locations for any cults.
King Matar did IMA and ruled until the day he died after a hard night of heavy drinking (at age 55). His Heir was crowned King after he returned from a successful diplomatic mission to Niete. This time his leaders got some orders and they were sent on various diplomatic missions that were to one degree or another positive. The only bad news was that an outbreak of madness in the streets of Zouthanos, the riots caused heavy damage to the city.
Patriarch Ralston stayed to defend Carthage, and while he tried to hide it, news got out that he gave the Holy Grail to a mere bishop to bring to Casablanca for safe keeping. In addition, he took the drastic step of excommunicating both Sicily and the Arius Knights, with orders that Sicilians become Vandal, and Arius Knights becoming the Knights of the Chalice. He further proclaimed that the Knights of the Chalice as the true faithful knights, and all Arius Knights not proclaiming for the Chalice will face long excommunication more severe than the Sicilians. In fact the Church seized the Arius Knights sites in Carthage and Tunisia and even sent a Bishop Arious to seize the Arius Knights' Order Fortress, a foolish and impossible task that he died for.
[See The Coptic Wars (686-) in Egypt section, for the war's details]
Imperialism: Demobilized regional fortress at El Golea Oasis, city fortress of Skikda, city fortress of Cherchel, along with their city walls, destroyed royal roads from Fez to Carthage (6 regions), move great Library from Tunisia to Merrakesh long with Capital, built port area in Cape Verde Islands, lost BL, Infra, Intel Op, Assassin bonus, and city of Casablanca expanded due to influx of war refugees.
Emperor Garvin ruled and maintained an active defense of Carthage. He sent his Heir along with some AC Mercs to evacuate everything between Tunisia and Morocco and burn everything else that couldn't be carried. He even ordered the royal roads destroyed so the Coptic dogs could not use them. Lastly he even moved great Library from Tunisia to Merrakesh long with Capital and part of the government (any government left behind was lost). Almost overlooked was an Italian who was found rummaging through the military offices and its records but the intruder escaped capture and a Coptic priest who was killed trying to cause trouble in Carthage.

Lord Capt Red Markusum declare to his men "YO!, HO! And a bottle of rum and also a share of the booty to those that have a successful raid!" The Lord Captain ordered his men to do a whole lot of raiding that covered four sea zones that spanned half the Med (while he stayed home to deal with a mid-life crisis by heavily drinking). After a five year voyage his men (led by his Heir) returned with chests full of gold and foodstuffs, and with news that they sunk a couple of smaller ill-manned fleets that dare to try and stop them! They also told tales about all the places they have been, the lands they looted, the woman, and the drink they had, and all the ships they sent to the bottom of the sea that made the old Lord Captain turn green with envy.

King Jensef ruled his kingdom in the new Viking age...
New player for T45.
King Nordberth ruled and kept his wife making babies as fast as she could. Lord Meinrad who was being called "Das Dummkopf" for his monster hunting, left again seeking the sea serpent in the Viking bank, this time bring a light transport loaded with food, but alas by the time he got to the Viking Bank it had moved on once more. Missionaries to Vologda messed up so bad and enraged the populace so much that many of them were hunted down and killed, and all conversion work was lost.
King Alaric went back to ruling and did some IMA while he hoped that the Horde would not return from their smash-feast down south. The King talked to the Heir about continuing the line and the Heir was given orders to provide him with some grandchildren. Two of his leaders were sent to DP Polovotsy and although one died saving the local lord's daughter from bandits, his last act of valor won them over.
Emperor Asparukh II decided out of the blue to form his own little church (as part of his country) based on the teaching of Paul, to be called "The Church of Paul", and his son Motilor at age 20 in the royal family was made the head of the Church by the Emperor.
Emperor Basileus went searching for more vermin in his Empire and found some more SE sites in Thrace and its city which he had his army destroy. He also came up with a daring and successful plan to attack Galatia with Mercs which gave the occupied former regions of the ERE a chance to revolt and they sure did. The Emperor also had his Empire work closely with the Celtic Church to convince the Orthodox Church to merge with it, with a Reform Religion that too was successful. The only unpleasant news to reach the Emperor ears was that a wave of cultural apathy struck the Empire which caused the loss of some university investment and tech points and also the Intel ops ware damaged by the Zoroastrians.
[See The Second Romano-Zoroastrian War (681-)].
With the ERE and Celtic Church's reforms, Patriarch John recognized the new Pope in Iona and had his church merge with the Celtic Church.
Gone, gone like yesterday...
Emperor Gemano's rule continued to be quite pitiful, but he was very good at siring Heirs despite looking quite pasty and pale and was plagued by poor hearth. He also made his sister his heir albeit she spent more time caring for him than the Empire. Luckily for the Emperor he had a couple of able leaders that administered for him and help offset his poor leadership.
King Hans Ragnarson died in 717 at age 72, his body worn out after a hard life of a warrior, his only regret was that he died in his bed and not in glorious battle. Before his passing he ordered one of his servants to place his sword in his hands. His heir at this time was in Pomerania making some allies for the Kingdom, and after he heard of his King's passing he declared himself Emperor and started setting up an imperial government of the kind that many of Alamanni's neighbors had.
On the Horde's centennial, Khan Altan and his horde did a whole lot of looting, enslaving, and burning and it was all Mithraic regions and cities. Meanwhile the Mithraics without any Persia help could only cower in their capital. Speaking of Persians, surprisingly they sent a large gold and agro payment to the Mongols to keep them out of their territory, or was it sent to help the Mongols burn Mithraic.

Alistar, Mark of Ispan, left in Navarre and retook Asturias from the Norse, but the campaign was too much for his old heart and it gave out (at 74). He died contently at the head of an army receiving a true warrior's death, rather than sickly in bed. One of his last orders was to have his Heir and the Heir's army wait in Portugal for any Viking raiders and right on clue the raiders showed up. The Northern dogs were easily driven away.
Grandmaster Petros oversaw the move of his Order Fortress to Spain and to mark the change he saw fit to change the order's name. As most of it's ERE sites degrade, disappeared, or were looted and destroyed.. Surprising there were no attempts by anybody to steal anything from them.
King Artos ordered some minor improvements that although minor they were long overdo..

Caesar Damianus II did some more IMA (interfere in merchant affairs) then he continued with thee ole "King rule, Heir administer" routine. Elsewhere it was the same disturbing news that a new Heretic Christian church which had formed in Connaught was starting to spread throughout the Emerald Island. Within the Empire strange rumors floated about that a fisherman in the Irish Sea caught a glimpse through the fog and mist of a never before seen mysterious island.
King Sarantino II forgot to issue any orders as he was too surprised that the Arian Church would excommunicate him, he had nothing to do with the Coptics looting and destroying the church sites in his lands (and he did nothing to stop it either.). As a result of the excommunication the city of Palma and the islands of the Balearics revolted and rejoined the Vandals (they had been sold by the Vandals to Sicily years ago.)
No orders received.
Grandmaster Armand personally went to Catalonia to establish a site there and upon his return found out that the Arian Church had excommunicated him, the Grandmaster enraged decided to wipe out all Arian traces from his Order and renamed it "The Order of the Knight Defenders". The Arian Church also tried to get the Knight Defenders' leaders to join an "Order of the Chalice", but all them laugh at an Order dedicated to a silly cup. Elsewhere Brother David didn't help any with his administering to the Order's needs, But he didn't hurt them either. As a result of the excommunication the region of Arguin revolted and joined the Vandals, and the Church seized the Order's sites in Tunisia and in the city of Carthage.
Emperor Maximus stayed at home, ruled with gusto, and despite the continuing difficulty he had with his heirs he fathered a few more at the relativity old age of 63. Not surprising he got word that another heir had bit the dust (died this time because of a horse riding accident). The Emperor promoted Prince Theodosius to heir and made another one of his kids a prince (by the way he also made it a law that the royal family couldn't marry their sister or cousin.). Within the Empire there was a Royal road built from Rome to Naples although the Empire had enough resources in savings to build one up the entire coast. Speaking of the coast, the pirates raided the crap out of it and devastated Corsica.Elsewhere Lord Lucious drifted ashore on a piece of driftwood after his fleet reacted to a pirate fleet that turn out to be twice its size and WRE's fleet was out-commanded, out-maneuvered, and out-fought and their was fleet sunk. When the Emperor was told of the disaster, he said "Your sure it wasn't one of my inept sons?", then he raged that he was surrounded by incompetence.
Pope Owen did some IMA and then raised the Tithe on the Danes and Norse. He solidified his position as Pope by getting the United Orthodox Church to join with his Church (with ERE help) making his church as large in size as to rival the other churches of the world. But it seems that everything else was put on the backburner as nothing was done about the sea creature that approached closer and closer, seen in the Minch, and nothing was done about the heretics on the Emerald Isle and new heretics were even seen in two places in the south. (Although the Pope did order a ferry crossing built from the Island of Man to Cumbria, resulting in a vicious rumor going around that the Isle of Man would soon be evacuated)
Old King Olaf Iversson stayed close to home to do kingly things like IMA and rule before he passed away at the old age of 77. One of his last orders was to send his Heir on a mission so secret that of course everybody at royal court was talking about it. The Vikings set sail once more to plague Europe by raiding it this time. They first struck in Idjil and then found an army in Portugal (almost 15,000 strong) waiting for them. The Vikings were easily humbled and driven off with their tails between their legs.
King Fils continued to rule somewhat majestically over his Kingdom, and again he was more that a little perturbed, this time at the Teutons for using diplomacy to lure Saarema away from his Kingdom just after he had it colonized.(The King thought that those Teuton silver-tongued bastards found lifting a sword too much for them.)

Chief Eaglewing ruled and waited.
New player for T45.
Chief Running Wolf stayed ready to react with his army to anybody that wanted their gold, and build a few more field forts to protect it in Pawnee. Humanist thoughts among the people sapped the nation's religious strength.
Chief Ten Bears stood ready to react with his army to any internal or external threat. He was disappointed to lose a pair of leaders to that strange sickness that was going around, and with the start of the new bridge across the Ohio River (it kept collapsing on them).
Chief Ancient Oak just ruled and kept trying for children at 65 winters and thus died happy. His heir administered (with a couple of other leaders) quite peacefully and uneventfully until the day his father died, Wild Oaks [Ancient Oaks' heir] succeeded him with no problems (he was also known as Wild Oats for the amount of drink he could put away.).
Chief Hatawin II IMA while his heir Hatawin III married and his wife start having kids, and the Heir still seem to be good for nothing else. The Chief got over his second wife's death and married a third and she had some kids too.

King Barrett did thee ole "King rule, Heir administer" routine, he also sent a pair of his leaders poking around his kingdom looking for something, but rumor had it that they found nothing but a Crystal Skull..
Emperor Pryzaka continued to rule solo, but this time he gave his heir Bryon the mission to military convert the region Pisones (the Emperor was very unhappy that Leader Peter Mahakii was killed preaching in Pisones ) and destroy the altar there, which only got the Heir killed. For the Heir was a great diplomat but he was a moron concerning military matters, and he also had no Intel counter-assassin protection either, so soon after arriving in Pisones he was found in his tent covered in so many little darts that he looked like a pin cushion. Prince Paul who was with the Heir was able to get control of the Heir's Army before it dispersed, but he wasn't able to finish his orders. After hearing the news of his Heir's death the Emperor promoted one of his grandsons to Heir (that was after he was done with his raging and smashing things around the palace.)
Patriarch Cullen ap Denez waited for orders as he kept himself shut away in his chambers. (Rumors spread that he was hiding from something or somebody.)

Emperor Gareth II ap Grania ac Mian for some strange reason issued no orders and after that coup attempt last year he locked himself in his royal chambers and refused to come out.
No Orders.
Lord Captain Blackjack Sparrow stood ready to counter any attack, furthermore he would use all of his considerable skills to defend what is his and take the fight to any enemy that dares attack him for he would utterly crush them. Elsewhere the Pirates posted banners throughout the Carib Sea ports stating that they consider themselves at peace with the nation of Albion and that they would try to resume trade. News came that Capt Howell Davis explored two new sea zones, but failed with the third, rumor had it that he was seeking the Rio Grande River.

Emperor Juan Valdez II ordered the region of Arica crushed including enslaving and looting them, then he had it re-colonized, all done in payment for Lord Macchiato's death there. The beginning of a huge religious complex was built in Ataura, which one day will be a group of small stepped pyramids with one central pyramid (it will be added to every generation). Work began on the central pyramid. He also sent a group to check out the mystery city down south and some ancient ruins nearby. They found a ruined city with skulls piled on every street corner, filled with shadows even on the sunniest day. They felt many eyes upon them that filled them with dread. Two hundred men were lost due to disappearances, accidents and desertions, and the men refused to journey inland to visit the nearby ruins, they just said over and over again the word "Supai".
Chief Tovaro ruled and had his natural born diplomat of a son and Heir help with administering, but found out that the heir stunk at it. The Heir also married but she died along with their first child in childbirth, after a year of mourning the Heir remarried and his new wife bore him a son.
We cheerfully assume that in some mystic way love conquers all, that good outweighs evil in the just balances of the universe and that at the eleventh hour something gloriously triumphant will prevent the worst before it happens.
