THE MONGOL HORSEMEN

General Information: (*= New)

Welcome to L27, I am your GM for this chaotic world of the dark ages; my name is Chet S. My Lords GM address is: Lords27gm@throneworld.com for orders and L27 stuff, and my L27 paypal address is: Chetb5@snet.net

***Turn fee is now a $6.00 donation starting T43, and there is also a $6.00 donation for a startup fee for new players, since most people did not pay by credit card (or did not pay the $.50), and paypal was still charging me a fee on everything (and the turn fee has been at $5 for a long time and the cost of running the game has gone up). Also I do not accept any personal checks as my bank charges me a $20 fee for any bounced checks that I deposit...(Money orders & certified checks are ok.)

Any nation that reaches a -$12.00 balance without making an arrangement with me will not be processed, and not sending orders in for three turns in a row in addition to not making payments, will force me open your country to a new player who has the time and money...

I have policy of no switching nations if your balance is in the red, until that negative balance is paid and you must also pay for one turn ahead so you're in the black.

BTW if your orders form doesn't have a yellow highlight section in the middle of it, you are using the wrong sheet and need to download a new one from the file section of this site or at the L27 home site at: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Lords-27/files/L27_Excel_orders_template.xls

If you do not have Microsoft Excel, there is a free version of Office called OpenOffice that will open, edit and save Excel file at: http://www.openoffice.org/

Do not put new or old projects in the builds section of the above Order form; they only go in the new or old projects section, and do not delete any part of the order form that you are not using, just leave the unused sections blank and do not add any page-breaks either.

Make sure your e-mail address is right in your orders, that is the address the program will send your stat sheet to... and that it has the right turn number too!

Troop builds: If your leader is in the region already, don't build troops for the garrison and then have him pick them up, just build troops for him.

Mercenaries: Remember that you MUST specify a city where you are hiring the Mercs. Failure to do this will result in no Mercs and the money being lost. Also, mercenaries may not be hired for more than one turn at a time. This may change when the Years per Turn reduces sufficiently enough for a contract to carry over to multiple turns. PLEASE put where you are hiring any mercenaries AND how many you are trying to hire AND how much you are willing to pay per point of troops in your builds section on the order form. PLEASE put this information in the notes section at the end of your builds. Otherwise you will not get the mercenaries and the GPs bid on them will be lost.

For Public works (PWB) builds, please state whether it is for a region or city in your builds section. (Like "Region of Kashmir", "City of Atlantis"...). ***and for expanding cities please put the name of the city in location, not the region it is in. Also for WP for fortress always put the region in for Location and for WP for cities always put in the city name for location. Last but not least in the item column in the build section do NOT write out fully what your building please use the codes, for example: your building 10 elite infantry, do NOT write "Build 10 elite infantry", instead write 10ei and do that for all units and also put no space between 10 and ei (the lords program reads it this way.).

Claimed Regions and Cities: These regions and cities will be noted by a dot in your color, not a full color shading of the region.

Order format: Please name your orders L27_T42_NationName.xls

***BTW: please use abbreviations in the rules for Intel commands (CI for counter intelligence, etc) and for units (f for field forts, etc)...

***Heirs and Princes: Unless stated otherwise in your orders, when a King's male child comes of age he is promoted to Heir (if he has none then any male child in royal family). Likewise when any male child comes of age he is promoted to Prince if there is an opening and I don't forget to check.

My rule changes: (*** = New starting this turn)

SEE (HOUSE) RULES: http://www.throneworld.com/lords/lote27/Rules.html

Diplomacy on Pacified & Pacified Tributary: Diplomacy can be conducted on these regions with the success number being added to the Years from Conquest (YfC) number on your stat sheet. It is still a long process...

Mercenary Commanders & Mercenary Leaders: If you hire any of the mercenaries available in an area, a Merc Commander comes with them for free (a place holder for the program) and the troops must stay with the Merc commander at all times as a separate army. Also a Merc leader since he is named, he outranks a Merc commander and may be hired as an extra (Please state if he is main or backup) leader.

Sea zones marked on the map with an "H" are hostile, and you will lose ships and maybe leaders if you try to pass through them, while regions with "HS" are hostile to you DPing them (and most other actions)...

Attacking a Field Fort defended province costs +1 AP extra.

MAX TAX is going to stay at 2.0 for now, and trade income will be caped at 1.0 on T42 and beyond.

QUOTE FOR THE TURN

Shogun Aro
Diplomacy: Amgu [A], Akita [FA], city of Kanazawa [N/E], Hokkaido [-C], missionaries sent to 5 different places
Imperialism: Colonized Okinawa [F], colonized Kazan Retto [F], expanded six cities.

Shogun Aro further strengthen his hold on the mainland by getting Amgu's lords to fully ally and supply troops. In support of the countries 200th anniversary celebrations, he made a colossal investment to the university - enough to plate it in gold; for he was driven to see his country raise above all other orient countries in technology. Lord Yojimbo never returned from exploring Kisha arrow while Lord Kama completed the Japan Current which pleased the Shogun immensely. Another gold payment was made to the Kannagara, but not as huge as the previous one.

Grandmaster Korizawa defended Amgu while most of his leaders were attempting to establish new sites. Diplomacy: Hsuing Ni [N/E], Zhu Zhou [Sacked by Earthquake], Shentang [+3YFC], Yen [-2YFC]
Imperialism: Finish Ningsia cultivation project, 4 cities walls increased, Field forts built in Shentung.

Emperor Lui II, with what appeared like divine inspiration, ordered his capital moved from Zhu Zhou to Yinchuan before Zhu Zhou was destroyed by an earthquake. In later years on his deathbed he admitted he only wanted to protect the capital from the hordes, before he died peacefully in his sleep at age 79, happy with the knowledge he brought peace and prosperity to China.

The Imperial Realm of Honan

Buddhist | Civilized | Tech 4
Emperor Lui Zhaokang the Kinslayer
Diplomacy: Anhui [+20YFC, F], Kiangsu [-A]
Imperialism: Expanded all its cities and rebuilt their walls, built PWB in Kiangsu and Field forts there and in Tsainan.

Emperor Lui Zhaokang was disappointed that after building public works and field forts for the local lords in Kiangsu, they became less friendly and embraced a heretic Buddhist cult. Then arrived the unfortunate news that his leader Laong Chin in Anhui became involved in a romantic triangle and was put to the sword by his rival. Luckily the other leaders there picked up the slack and they hardly missed the lout.

The Hu Empire

Theravada Buddhist | Civilized | Tech 4
Hu Dong, King of the Hu, Son of Heaven, Protector of the Enlightened, Emperor of the Middle Kingdom, Lord of Golden Dragon Father of the Han
Diplomacy: Taiping [A]
Imperialism: Guizhou and Ghang'de finish cultivating, Hong Kong colonized, and new city of Xiang Gang built, lots of PWBs built in 4 regions.

Emperor Hu Dong began his rule with his father's blood on his hands, but he kept building up the Empire just like his father before him. He stood ready with his huge army to defend the Empire. Sadly, the most exciting thing to happen was that he sent a couple of his leaders to DP Taiping, and one of them went missing after being found with the local lord's daughter! That didn't stop the region from allying with the Empire, but probably kept if from becoming friendly.

Theravada Buddhist

Sirivijayan Empire

Hinduism | Seafaring | Tech 4
Emperor Gnialat II
Diplomacy: Aceh [T], Utarn [T]
Imperialism: Colonized Singapore Island, finished cultivating Utara, expanded 6 cities, built PWB for 3 regions.

Emperor Gnialat II ruled quite well with help of his heir's administering. Only the deaths of a couple of his leaders bothered him although it seemed that they were just accidents. One was a great general (done in by a fishbone) and his death left his army in Siripti leaderless, and the other was a new leader who fell overboard and drowned on a sea voyage.

Imperialism: 4,000 new mixed infantry trained, along with 40 HEWs in Banavasi.

Primate Jawaharlal journeyed to Africa to found the first African temple there, but it was not to be. He came down with strange sea sickness on the voyage and passed away soon after arriving in the city of Arami. At the same time Champa sent two sons from its royal family to join the temple and the death of the Primate and another leader soon saw them pressed into temple service a lot quicker than anybody had foreseen. The temple was becoming something of a market place as huge payments of gold were sent to Africa, along with some food (the Temple even sent food to Asamakara), while technology improved to rival its host country of Asamakara.

Diplomacy: Ferghana [F], Tadzik [F], Turkmen [A], Balkash [-C]
Imperialism: Expanded 3 cities, built PWB for 2 out of 3 of them, trained 1,200 HEC for an ally.

Emperor Qutlugh did the same old rule and have children routine, he had a couple of snot nosed kids before his wife died miscarrying the third. He mourned her death while his heir married and had four kids, which surely left the royal nursery quite crowded. Surprisingly, Prince Tosatan, at long last, wandered in, home from his vacation in the steppes and his stay in the dog-pits of Khirgiz.

Patriarch Zarutha
Diplomacy: City of Sinope [AB], city of Adalia [MN], Asia [AB], Hellespontos [CH], city of Tabriz [N/E], city of Baki [N/E], Kuban [CH], city of Gurman [CH], city of Socotra [AB], City of Moroni CH], city of Kizimhazi [CH]
Imperialism: Started bridge to Babylonia from Kuwait, Finish one spanning the Euphrates River from Mesopotamia to Selucia, Started royal road from Carhae to Armenia, built a few PWB for two regions and two cities.

Patriarch Zarutha spent all of his time in the port city of Sinope on the Mare Negri, easily founding an abbey. He named it the "House of Zarutha". He loved the smell of the surf and tuft, the hustle and bustle of the port, and wished he could retire here from the strain of his duties. But a courier soon arrived with distressing news that Greek fire was stolen back yet again by those damn Greeks, but at least this time an inferior copy was made. Again another dispatch of despair as news that horde had made a beeline to the fine country he was visiting and destroyed its capital, and he thought to himself "I'm glad I sent what-was-his-name to Baki instead of going there myself."

The Sassanid Empire of Persia

Zoroastrian | Civilized | Tech 5
Vahram VI, ShahanShah Eran Ud Aneran, King of Persia, Media and Babylonia, Sultan of Kuwait, Overlord of Syria, Lebanon and Anatolia, The Scourge of the Greeks, The Light of the Aryans, The Holy Arm of Ahura-Mazda, The Great King, The Sassanid, Heir to the Achaemenids
Diplomacy: Kyklades [PT], city of Adalia [-UN]
Imperialism: 5,000 mixed troops train in the capital.

Vahram VI was wounded yet again by those damn Greeks. "This is getting to be a bad habit" he thought, as he had 200 of the palace guard put to death for their incompetence. He abandoned hope for the return of his Heir Yazdegerd from Greek hands and declared him officially retired (or dead, either way the empire needs an heir). A new heir was proclaimed; Prince Shapur and another Prince, named Cyrus, was made to retire (with his head attached) at age 78, and with nothing for him to do he quickly withered away to nothing and died. Then the ShahanShah did something that completely surprise the male dominant royal court by promoting his daughter Rana to Princess, as expected she was welcomed by a very cold shoulder from court and her fellow leaders. Elsewhere in the empire military innovation caused the Empire's siege-works to improve.

THE SECOND ROMANO-ZOROASTRIAN WAR (681-):

After the excitement of the last few battles, the past few years were rather anti-climatic and it seemed that the war was winding down. All the Persians did was to have its navy transport an army to take the Island of Kyklades and sack its city of Thera along with the city of Kluj (with the usual small Farohars fleet lapping at its heels). Meanwhile a small Zoroastrian church army destroyed an EO site in Pannonia but failed to take the city of Orchirda in Dardnia or its site. The Greeks themselves stayed huddled in their cities and strongholds and did not engage the Zoros, if fact rumors spread that the Greek order of St. Georgios was abandoning the Greeks (poor old St.Georgios must be spinning in his grave).

The Farohars of Ahura-Mazda

Zoroastrian | Civilized | Tech 5
Grandmaster Sanve
Diplomacy: City of Nippur [OH], Adalia [N/E -UN], Isuria [N/E], Kuwait City [N/E], Asia [N/E], Hellespont [OH], city of Zongul [OH], city of Axanja [N/E], city of Mara [N/E], city of Tolmak [N/E], Singanakh [N/E], Otrar [N/E], city of Almaty [N/E]
Imperialism:

Grandmaster Sanve follow the example of his predecessors, and stayed put at his order's grand and fancy fortress, ready to defend it with his army and his life, until which he would, of course, enjoy the cozy cushions and servant girls. He drank his fine wine and lamented for the good old days when the Empire was not full of corruption and decay and the fire of Ahura-Mazda burned bright. His eyes glazed over the numerous reports of failure and also that the city of Adalia revolted, and he took a few moments out of his precious time to order the usual extra tithe to buy off the Zoro church, "I mean to help the church" he thought with a chuckle.

Mithraic Colchis

Zoroastrian | Civilized | Tech 5
Autarch Nasim
Diplomacy: City of Baki [Sacked], Crimea [-UN], city of Chersonesus [-UN]
Imperialism: Colonized Abasigia and Kuban.

Autarch Nasim fumed, many said smoke poured from ears like the black smoke cloud over Baki, but I'm getting ahead of myself. Autarch Nasim was use to the dark underbelly of mankind, to dirty deeds and back alleys, but the Dead City in Saksiny where he brought his army and some laborers began to give even him the chills; he felt a thousand eyes of the dead watching him constantly in that dark and dismal place. He was also mildly upset with his Elite Intel corps that found no information whatsoever on the city, but he felt that with all the laborers he brought with him that it was only a matter of time before he dug something up. After a couple of months he began to get impatient with all the accidents, desertions, and disappearances that had cut his labor force almost in half, worse yet his troops were starting to desert by ones and twos. But then a horse and rider rode up to his encampment, the horse ridden almost to death, with the news that a horde passed through Khazar heading towards Alan. Autarch Nasim quickly broke camp and force march his troops back home to Alan, but he was too late, he fumed, many said smoke poured from ears like the black smoke cloud over Baki, he commanded his troops to attack the Horde and make them pay a terrible price for this outrage! Their Anger and bloodlust drove the Mithraics deep into the side of the Horde and deep was the blood they spilled, at first they thought the horde only outnumbered them two to one, but they soon found out to their dismay that they had attacked only about quarter of the Horde, (which had been spread throughout Alan), and soon found themselves outnumbered eight to one. Before long the Autarch found his force shattered and scattered, and found himself making his way through the Mountains to Abasigia with the pitiful remains of his army. In the aftermath of the destruction of Mithraic Colchis' capital, the country found that all of its regions that they conquered from the ERE revolted, but only Crimea, and its city of Chersonesus managed to break free.

The Egyptian Empire

Coptic Christian | Civilized | Tech 6
Emperor Merakh
Diplomacy: Adulis [NT], Suakin [N/E], city of Damanhur [NT], city of Chalice [P] (Renamed Tiber), Ad'Diffah [P], Lybia [P], Tripolitania [P]
Imperialism: Trained 32,000 mixed troops in the region of Egypt, huge investment in BL (no improvement).

Emperor Merakh remarried but was blessed with no children and the royal nursery just gathered dust. His rule continued with his still very large army tightly under his control. The Emperor was pleased when one of his agents stepped in front of a Vandal dagger attack, and his nation increased its technology. He gave a small part of his army and to his heir Abubakar II (and another leader), and said "go play in the Vandal sandbox". Abubakar II, with a little over 30,000 newly trained mixed troops and some Coptic Church forces advanced into Ad'Diffah. On a side note a very large gold payment arrived in the WRE under heavy guard.

THE COPTIC WARS (686-):

The Vandal campaign (Holy Grail War) continued, and might have concluded if Egypt sent its full force, but even the reduced force that was accompanied by a Coptic Church army easily overwhelmed the directed defense by the small Vandal force in Ad'Diffah. Chalice fell to a year long siege after being blockaded by an Axum fleet. The Egyptian / Coptic Church combined army easily continued their advance all the way to Tripolitania where they stopped to regroup and re-supply. The Thebans did as well as their brethrens, but lost their Grandmaster to a Vandal Assassin; Victor who was with the Grandmaster when he died became the new Grandmaster and finished his orders. The Theban army left Algeria which reverted back to Vandal control and ran into a directed defense by some AC Mercs in Cheliff. After a hard fought battle, they overran the Mercs and looted the region before continuing on into Zirid were the met the Theban fleet and reinforcements. They easily took over Zirid and blockaded its city which fell to siege and was sacked and burned.

The Order of the Theban Legion

Coptic Christian | Civilized | Tech 5
Master Candid assassinated in 706, Victor replaced him.
Diplomacy:
Imperialism: Raise about 25,000 mixed troops in Egypt which they ferried to Zirid.

Master Candid was assassinated in Algeria by Vandal assassins; Victor who was with him became the next Grandmaster and finished his orders and led the Theban army to a string of victories in battle. Elsewhere the Thebans again failed to lower the AC Church's strength in Sicily, but they did raise their own Church's, but unfortunately it was at its max. The Theban Legion's Intel was at last able, after years of trying, to free a couple of their leaders from their foes' prisons. BTW the Thebans were able hire the Pirates again with another very large payment of gold that was almost stolen by the AC church.

The Coptic Church

Imperialism: Trained 43,000 mixed troops in region of Egypt for the war effort, and warship tactics improved, sent 1 infra to Thebans.

Patriarch Mark was pleased that the Church's technology increased to match its brethrens, and then mildly amused to see the Egyptian again better them. He oversaw the Church's bicentennial celebrations but continued to rule quite sloppily which kept the church at thin government. He also was displeased that church sites continued to degrade in Kanem and Akan due to that meteor destroying a cathedral in Soro five years ago

The Empire of Axum

Coptic Christian | Civilized | Tech 5

Imperialism: Started cultivation of Adowa, PWBs in Dongola, raised 6,000 EI for Karnak garrison.

Emperor Verhanu pledged his navy for the blockade of Chalice and was pleased by the results, while he investigated Alwa and found nothing. Afterward he went to Kordofan and got them to join the Empire before returning home to his palace.

Emperor Bhagadatta proclaimed Zanzibar Sea is now a pirate-free zone, while he ironically interfered in his merchants affairs, before he passed away at age 64 after a stroke. The Shields of St. Cyril

Coptic Christian | Civilized | Tech 4
Grandmaster Segun Odegbami, Shield of the Faithful
Diplomacy:
Imperialism: Started change from Clan to Feudal, trained 4,000 EI in Oyo, and infantry QR went up.

Grandmaster Segun Odegbami continued to be a player in the Coptic War, by attacking the Vandals at Merrakesh, but he attacked over the mountains and his Intel's battle assistance was faulty, which can only spell d-i-s-a-s-t-e-r. As Brother Mutiy Adepoju followed his orders and brought his fleet and troops to blockade Casablanca, he wondered why the Grandmaster and his army didn't show up to siege the city and he stayed and waited a year then return to port at Buchanan. Well, the Grandmaster was busy getting his butt kicked by the Baron of Casablanca and had to hightail it back over the mountains, and to add insult to injury, once back in Idjil the Grandmaster had to drive out a small army of the Knights of Arius who were trying to liberate the region for the Vandals. That battle left his second in command dead

Empire of Kanem

Coptic Christian | Civilized | Tech 4
Emperor Nemo died in 710, Djibuti ascended the throne
Diplomacy:
Imperialism: Started cultivation in Soro and Segu, quite a bit of new field forts scattered about the empire, tons of Argo shipped to its Coptic allies..

The Emperor Nemo with his army, his heir and most of his leaders stood ready in Kanem-Bornu to react to any invasions or land burnings, but being in the East, they were too far from the Western part of his country to do much help, lucky for them the Arians did no scorching. Sadly the Emperor passed away in his sleep at age 73, and his Heir took command of his army and the Empire.

Akan, Lords of the Gold Coast

Coptic Christian | Civilized | Tech 4
King Matar
Diplomacy: Bomi [A]
Imperialism: Some PWB for Bomi, started cultivation of Neite and finish re-cultivating Benin's volcano damage.

King Matar did the same old rule and have his heir administrate scenario. Death paid a visit as a Prince and a leader passed away of old age, and another leader disappeared exploring the back alleys of city of Khaziptioples the nation's capital and is presumed dead.

The Christian Church of God

Arian Christian | Civilized | Tech 5
Patriarch Ralston
Diplomacy: Cheliff [-UN], Zirid [-UN], city of Melilla [-UN]
Imperialism: Increased the walls of Casablanca, built a couple of HT in Carthage, trained some HI in Skikda, Casablanca, and Carthage.

Patriarch Ralston preached in Carthage with some success, and while outwardly he projected a strong resilience, within he cringed over the further destruction of holy church sites. It was the Church's bicentennial, but in these dark times, any cerebrations were quite somber. Later that year the Patriarch was outraged to hear that fellow Arian Christians of Sicily tried to steal the Holy Grail, and he was heard ranting that he had half a mind to excommunicate them. Further bad news was received that religious operations failed to lower the Coptic Church's and Theban's RS. Not to mention how foolish Archbishop Hector felt when he went to the Cape Verde Islands to DP the island and found it to be uninhabited. Last but not least the Church's Intel failed to steal the Theban's payment to the Pirates, which they wanted to use themselves to hire the Pirates.

Grandmaster Eusebiys
Diplomacy: Cheliff [-UN], Zirid [-UN], city of Melilla [-UN], city of New Seville [OH], Sicily [OF], Muscovy [OH], Chernigov [OO]
Imperialism: Moved Order Fortress to Sicily.

Grandmaster Eusebiys increased the orders influence in Sicily, and he help oversee Master Iskandar's moving of the Order's fortress from the city of Carthage to the region of Sicily, very much like rats leaving a sinking ship. While Master Secundus at age 69 and having spent his whole life in his beloved city of Carthage, stepped off the city wall to his death rather then leave it.

Emperor Garvin
Diplomacy: Zirid [OC], city of Melilla [Sacked, -UN], Lybia [OC], Tripolitania [OC], Ad'Diffah [OC]
Imperialism: Walls rose higher in Skikda, and Cherchel, new field forts in Kabilya, and trained some HI in Carthage.

Emperor Garvin had some R & R, but not any rest, but as in ruled and ready to react. He hired some AC Mercs to defend Cheliff, but should have built some field forts for them to defend in, as they were overrun by the Thebans after a hard fought battle. Grim news assaulted the Emperor of new loses, and rumors that the Knights of Arius were leaving Carthage, but on the other hand he also was happy that his heir followed his orders and withdrew to Carthage in face of overwhelming odds by those damn Coptics. His son was alive and united with his father, loving wife and triplets. Only good news was that a Vandal assassin killed the grandmaster of the Thebans, and was awarded a metal of valor went he returned.

King Koneric died in 708, his heir Mundberht ascended to the throne.
Diplomacy:
Imperialism: City of Dvinisk's walls raised higher, Novgorod cultivated.

King Koneric became sick and bedridden and passed away at age 79, his heir who had been running things for quite some time, ruled in his stead, and after the old king's passing ascended to the throne with no problems. The new King Mundberht also made his oldest son from his 1st wife his Heir. Whilst this happened, Prince Magnulf went slave raiding to the North this time, having worn out his welcome in the West. The foolish flop Lord Gundo was suppose to help preach in the city of Dvinisk, but got so drunk one night that he fell into the moat and drowned.

King Alaric
Diplomacy: Kiev [F], Bolgar [-UN]

He give orders to his Heir and a prince to liberate Kiev which they easily did since it was undefended by the ERE. The King was disappointed to hear that Lord Brand deserted with his troops in the city of Arius, and enrage to hear that the Mongol horde took Bolgar and its rich mercantile trade center.

Emperor Basileus
Diplomacy: Kiev [-UN], city of Kluj [sacked], city of Thera [Sacked, -UN], Kyklades [OC], Crimea [F], city of Chersonesus [F].
Imperialism:

Emperor Basileus sent a substantial gold payment to St.Georgios and was rewarded for his generosity by them pulling out of the war. He also was wounded by Zoro assassins and remained holed up in the capital. The assassination attempt caused him to be not as bold as his predecessor, Emperor Ortaheus, who died of battle wounds. In fact many rumors spread that Emperor Basileus will soon be joining St.Georgios in Spain. For some strange reason half of the cavalry's horses died in Constantinople, it was thought that they were poisoned along with the city's Agro stores which had to be replaced from outside sources.

Diplomacy: Andalusia [OO]
Imperialism:

Grandmaster Pericles' order was starving from lack of food and courage, and withdrew from the war (with ERE gold). He had many of the troops and field forts that they could no longer feed demobilized. The order's status was increased in Lombardy while it fell in the ERE for its treachery, rumor had it the Grandmaster hightailed it to Spain with his tail between his legs. The only good news was that brother Acanthus was finally busted out of his Zoro dungeon and Greek fire was stolen back from them, but alas their Intel failed to make the Egyptians the scapegoat.

The Mongol Horsemen

Asiatic Pagan | Nomadic | Tech 3
Khan Altan
Diplomacy: Bolgar [PT]
Imperialism: Uze [A]

Khan Altan contently stroked his beard and watched the raging bonfire what was once the city of Baki. While he didn't have the black ops of other nations, he ingeniously used his limited Intel to conceal his horde's true whereabouts from Europe, the Middle-east and Asia. He rode his horde into the west and straight down Mithraic Colchis' throat (after a horde battle with the Uze horde that forced it to ally with him). Into Alan his huge horde had rode unopposed. There the Khan used a small part of his huge horde to screen the field forts, while the rest assaulted its city of Baki. They looted, sacked and burnt the Mithraic Colchis' capital to the ground; but at that point in time the Mithraic Colchis forces led by Autarch Nasim arrived, too late, to save their capital, but still they advanced to exact their revenge. Aftermath: After sending the defeated Mithraics running into the mountains, the horde withdrew to regroup in Bolgar and more contented beard stroking.

King Hans Ragnarson
Diplomacy: Prussia [-UN], Danzig [-UN]
Imperialism: New port city of Berlin in Lausatia.

King Hans Ragnarson also did the same old same old "him ruling and his heir administrating" scenario. But during his rule he was very unhappy to see a couple of his regions break away due to being out of range of his control, so he ordered the port city of Berlin built and made plans to move his capital there to have better control over his growing kingdom.

Diplomacy: Vermandois {N/E], Dumnonia [F]
Imperialism: Colonized Ponthieu and Gwynned, new port city of Agrisvillie in Ponthieu and Glevum became a citadel, built a few PWB in Nivernais and Gwynned.

Caesar Damianus II gathered some more of his troops from across his Empire and oversaw a couple colonization projects. Additionally, he was pleased that the region of Dumnonia completely joined the Empire as Dumnonia was the ancient name for his empire. The NRE attempted to change trade its routes, but an IMA (interfere in merchant affairs) was needed to be done by the king (see HOT in modern rules).

The Kingdom of Sicily

Arian Christian | Seafaring | Tech 4
King Sarantino II
Diplomacy: City of Palma [F]
Imperialism: Expanded Palermo, rebuilt walls, new ports in Catalonia named Sagunto, and in Sardinia named Cagliari, PWB in Catalonia and Sardinia.

King Sarantino II personally saw to the building and the multi-tier design of a couple new ports that looked quite striking with its white marble walls and buildings. He was also happy to get reports that the AC church's influence was at long last declining due to his countries' religious operations, and that his heir reported complete success in his diplomatic mission to Palma, once he returned home. Only discouraging word was how much his Intel messed up retrieving a certain cup.

The Western Roman Empire

Coptic Christian | Civilized | Tech 5
Emperor Maximus
Diplomacy: Aquitaine [-C]
Imperialism: Expanded Caprica, PWB built for Caprica too, trained some EI and C in Latiun,

Emperor Maximus was outraged that his Heir Claudius II (who over the years had failed more often than not) got himself accidentally killed by his own men, which was caused in part by a very faulty Intel battle assistance report during his attempt to attack and destroy all Arian Church and order sites in Malta. His second in command was able to take command of the Heir's troops before they dispersed and was able to regroup them, but wasn't able to finish the Heir's orders. To replace him the Emperor promoted Prince Honorius II and hoped that stupidity didn't run in his family as he promoted Constantine to Prince from the royal family too.

The Empire of Ulania

Zoroastrian | Civilized | Tech 5
Emperor Temukin
Diplomacy:
Imperialism: Colonized Alsace and Franconia, built PWB in Bavaria, tech level went up.

Emperor Temukin kept up his policy of genocide as he went on another bloody rampage with his army to finish the remaining traces of the Black Rose heritage in his Empire (in the region of Franconia). But almost as if to pay him back for all his bloody deeds, his heir was found dead without a mark on him in the capital, while both of his princes died, one in the rampage in Franconia, the other in an accident. Lastly a leader passed away when his heart failed him. Luckily for the Emperor he had sufficient replacements in the royal family to replace them all and the cold-hearted bastard did just that without shedding a tear.

The Celtic Church

Celtic Christian | Civilized | Tech 4
Patriarch James died in 709, Owen replaced him
Diplomacy: City of Portswain [CH], city of Oslo [CH], city of Frihet [CH], city of St.Nazaire [CH]
Imperialism:

Patriarch James personally raised the tithe for the kingdom of the Teutons in Dvinisk, then took a sea voyage home to the Isle of Man, and he felt that it would feel real good to be home after so many years away, but alas the voyage home turned into a disaster when something (that he couldn't make what it was) started swimming along side the ship in the Baltic sea, and then follow them into the Skaggerak. They tried to outrun it but the Patriarch's ship broke up and the Patriarch disappeared into the sea's dark depths. After news of the Patriarch's loss, Cardinal Owen oversaw a council of cardinals and was elected the new Patriarch by its electors. Elsewhere the Church's Influence increased in both Teuton and NRE, but for some reason their RS didn't.

Chief Running Moose decided to get out of his teepee for a while and took a journey to claim the regions of Quapaw and Osage. Upon his return he resumed ruling and ordered claims to the regions of Choctaw and Taposa dropped, then he too, like other Indian leaders, also died; he felt his work complete and he met his maker after 64 winters. Ten Bears took over as Chief and was proud of his father's accomplishments. Elsewhere there was the surprising discovery of gold in Sangamon.

Diplomacy: Kekchi [N/E], Ciboney [T]
Imperialism: More PWB built for Colon and Cooinaghtyn.

Emperor Gareth ap Grania ac Mian ruled until he too died of old of 75 in 710, seems to be a lot of that going on, so much that many thought that some kind of sickness was going around. Nobody was surprised when Garth II took the throne to the approval of all, for the boy had been popular since he was knee high. Also storms at sea decimated merchant shipping with the Yamasee and the pirates revealed themselves in the South.

Emperor Juan Valdez II
Diplomacy: Uru [N/E], Arica [N/E]
Imperialism: Quite a few PWBs built in Chimu, and royal road was finished there and another started in the South.

Emperor Juan Valdez II surprisingly suffered good health and tried to equal the legend his father had become. He paid a far too short a trip to Uru, for he got nowhere in talks to improve relations there. Also there was a wave of anti-clericism, but the Church never poked its head out of its churches.

Chief Icaru died in 707 at age 58, Tovaro succeeded him
Diplomacy: Tapayos [N/E]
Imperialism: A PWB in Mekaranoti, started cultivation of Pacaja, finished changing from Slave to Agrarian.

Chief Icaru ruled until he died of some strange sickness that many said was brought by the white men. His Heir Tovaro succeeded him without any conflict and named his oldest son Icaru II his own heir (and he seem to be a natural born diplomat). Two leaders were sent to DP Tapayos, but one sucked so bad that the other wanted to chuck him into the Amazon River.
