Hordes
Two types of Hordes exist in
Lords 24, Active and Inactive. Inactive Hordes are those Hordes with a
population counter less than 10. Once this counter reaches ten the Inactive
Horde will spawn an Active Horde.
Inactive
Hordes
Inactive Hordes are the breeding grounds for the
more mobile and greatly feared Active Hordes. Each turn their population will
vary up and down until such point as the pressure on their traditional
grasslands gets so great that an Active Horde is spawned and spreads out in search
of new lands.
When a Horde is Inactive it is possible to use
standard diplomacy to affect a nation’s status with the Horde. However, if the
Horde turns Active this status may be lost.
Active
Hordes
Active Hordes will attempt to spread out from
their heartlands in search of new lands for their tribes and herds. They will
attack or demand tribute from all their neighbours and attempt to absorb lesser
Hordes into their mass.
It is now possible to use standard diplomacy on an
Active Horde but a nation can send a leader with high Charisma to influence the
Hordes Khan. Any influence gained with a
