The Far East:

Japan: His Royal Highness Hamagoto
Diplomacy: Saga - NT, Yanaguchi - FA..
The sun also sets on the land of the Raising Sun, but work conitnues to be completed. A lack of light is no obstacle to teh hard-working and effecient people of the Isle. Hamagoto alloted more materials to the region of Kwanto. Many shops were opened to create services to the great influx of workers that arrived to complete the orders of Hamagoto.

Hamagoto, then sent diplomats to the southern reaches of his Isle to secure the relations with the house of Hamagoto. A local Samurai was found and was convinced to swear fealty to Hamagoto.

The Khemer Kingdom: Ieng Sary
Diplomacy: Siam - F, Cochin - A.
It was a sad day in the Khemer Kingdom, Ieng Sary, passed away while engaged in an intimate act with his youthful wife. However, considered a blessing by the local sooth-sayer, Ieng last act was to produce yet one last male child to carry on his proud name.

His son and Prince, Zeng Sary, was delivered the news while in transit to Cochin. Rather than pack up and leave before breaking new ground, the effecient diplomat was able to secure an oath of allegience to the Khemer crown, although vacant, but with the qualification that he was to named king. This was troublesome, since his father passed away before making allowances for this, since he was not offically named hier to the throne.

Zeng would be named heir, not king upon his return to the court. No difficulty was had as the court made the transition from one monarch to his brother, the recently deceased king's wishes would have been to have his gifted and favorite son made heir. This seemed to placate the people in Cochin, for the present.

The Zhuang Kingdom - Cheng Huang-ti
Diplomacy: Annam - F.
In a most brillant application of pork-barrell politics, King Cheng Huang-ti created a city, enhanced the regional agricultral production and made the stout ally a prince of the realm for his loyality. Over-awed by the attention, Lam Nguyen pledged his peoples' everlasting support.

Kwangtung, the nearby region also received its share of attention as the urban-sprawl continued to parcel out land to settlers. Most notable though was the amount of time allowed by the pace of events to remain at the palace in Kwangchou. Both King Cheng Huang-ti and his brother, Cheng Li spent much time with their wives, and were pleased to announce the continuation of the family lines.

The Jade Dragon (Java)
Diplomacy: None
Open Position.

Northern China (Honan)
Diplomacy: Hupie - T.
Taking the royal coffers, which had been stockpiled for quite some time, Sung Chu determined to help his people help themselves and allowed for an incredible amount of private lots to be handed out and worked. The people were over-joyed and took to working on developing an abundant harvest.

Deciding to expand his fledgling empire southwards, Sung Chu sent his younger brother to secure the pledge of Hupei. talks were ultimately successful, but still had much room left to complete before anyone could rejoice.

Understanding that an empire needs accurate counts, a census was easily completed and the imformation sent to the king was reviewed warmly. Wang Chung did indeed allow everyone to have fun tonight.

Central China (Szchewan)
Diplomacy: Hubie - EA
The king, Zhong-Jia, focused mainly on domestic issues as the appalling previous regional maintenance had deteriorated into its base level, he mobilized his workers to begin the process of dragging the kingdom from poverty to prosperity, one step at a time.

Delegates were sent to Hubie, who and long anticipated the Szchewan nobles to parlay, but had until that time never materialized. Discussions were quick and easily maintained, illustrating the likely ease to be expected with further diplomatic efforts.

The Republic of India - Sanji Pontek the Illuminated
Diplomacy: None -
No turn received.

The Mauryan Empire: His Royal Personage Chandragupta
Diplomacy:None
The King awoke from his brief slumber, and stepped from his tent. His people were already hard at work, putting the finishing touches on to his homeland. The final farmstead was built and occupied by a loyal subject. Impressed with his people efforts, he looked towards his next goal, converting his economic base from a rural setting to a more competitive capitalistic system. Considered a brilliant move by some, the decision still drew wide-spread criticism, mostly from his own court who continued to complain about the lack of civilized creature comforts and sleeping in tents.

Never one to lose focus, Chandragupta simply shrugged off the remarks and went on upon his business. The rest of the court, not receiving any direction sat around listless and began to murmur. A trusted henchman, or at least preceived to be trusted was found plotting against his king and executed. The murmurs died out after that.

The Middle East:

Kara-Khitia - Kara Chethosk
Diplomacy: None.
No turn received

The Babylon Empire: King Sheesh Bazzar
Diplomacy: Ahvaz - T, Media - NT,
Still refusing to give up the old ways, King Sheesh Bazzar ordered his desert raiders to bring even more booty from the outer regions. Unfortunately, the raid, while productive had little actual result for the effort invested. Disappointed with the cash grab, Sheesh Bazzar focused on converting the heathens in his southern bordering regions and continuing with the intense enhancements of his homeland, the great area of Mesopotamia.

To assist with his growing kingdom, Sheesh Bazzar promoted two of his children, one very talanted, the other, not much brighter than a spent candle, to hier and prince. As fate alwasy seemed to be cruel, the younger and more talanted child was named only prince as the blind love of a father witnessed the oldest, a painfully shy and awkward man, the naming of him as heir, a title that he obviously was uneasy with.

The Hellespont Empire - The Wonderous Philospher King Gillipoianus
Diplomacy: none.
No turn received.

The Numbulin Alliance: The Magnificent Zoward
Diplomacy: Adal -FA, Yemen - FA.

The Kingdom of Egypt: King Alrek

Diplomacy: Syria - NT.
King Alrek, plodding quietly along, no one causing any trouble, especially with the recent failed assination attempt still heavy on the minds of all people. Support for such an uprising would not receive much of audience as the king countinued on a course of regional action that brought greater wealth and independence into the landsand people of Egypt. Still, slightly concerned, King Alrek authorized 300 additional men into the Egyptian Police force.

Sending out cautious feelers to Syria, the beginning talks were started. However, with the nearbyagressive empire of Babylon cast a pale shadow over the talks and limited progress was made.

The Muslim Church: Holy Father al-Habib 'Abdullah.
Ecclesiastical Builds: Petra - Church, Hijaz - Church, Aden - Church, Asir - Church, Yemen - Church, Sheba - Failed
Brushing the dust and sand from his flowing robes, the Sunni holy father, al-Habib 'Abdullah pulled his scattered people together and informed them of the spiritual vision that he was blessed to receive. Now his energy and belief had shape and definition. Now, he would go forth, cultivating the salvation of the unlearned and vanquishing the infidel. His trusted friend and confidant, al-Hakim was annointed as a bishop of the faith and sent south as he himself traveled north.

Much success as reported back to the scribes in the holy city of Mecca. Only the poeple of Sheba were not completely receptive to the idea of building a church to a dead god. However, Bishop al-Hakim, also reported back that due to time constraints and the extra efforts of working in Yemen that too little time could be afforded to the establishment of a church.

Africa

South Africa Ceaserian, the 41st True king to the throne of the Egyptian people.
Diplomacy: None..
Two thoughts were aired in the South African kingdom. One, exploration has been beneficial thus far, more exploration would be even better. The other, man should not venture into the unknown but stay where the sun is known. The more adventerous side of Ceaserian, the 41st won out and three expeditions were sent out. First, and most dangerously, he sent his trusted hier and brother up the East African coast. Unfortunately, he was never seen from again. Futhermore, the tide would have prevented any wreakage from returning, if there had been a wreak. Thus, the disappearance of Ptolemy went unsolved.

Sending Archibius and Khoikhoi in to Khosa and Lesotho generated both a marginally profitable return and bitter feelings from theose lands inhabitants. Threats against any South African return was leveled against the envoys from the court. Undaunted, the two leaders returned to the palace and were rewarded for their accomplishments, as were the loyal soldiers, who greedily enjoyed the bounty.

The last expedition returned to the ruins that were recently discovered. Rhodon spend many a weary day reading over reports of deeper and deeper digs only to learn that nothing new was found to discover. Rhodon returned to the court, enpty handed, worried that Ceaserian, the 41st might be upset at the expenditures and the lack of any result.

The Holy Church of Madregai
Ecclesiastical Constructs: None.
The Holy Father, Tuhara, focused his will on the heathen region of Nupe. All reasources were brought to bear and the population, nearly en-mass converted to the Medregian religion, finding solace in the readings and words of its clergy. Now, at least six out of every ten people in Nupe publically announced their affiliation. Isolated pockets of backwoodsmen continued to resist change, clinging to the past however, and more work would be necessary to continue to convert the people til the final remnent of paganism was stamped out.

Nyssa
Diplomacy: None.
Open Position
No turn received.

Togo: Sonabe
Diplomacy: Ife - EA , Oyo - F.
With fire in his eye and sword in his hand, Sonabe was grimly determined to correct the wrong his brother's legacy and memory was besmirched by. Quickly raising a large army of 2,500 foot soldiers, he marched this forced to oin up with the 1,300 light foot soldiers already commissioned and quickly made their way south. Taking his most able second in command, the force entered into Ife after crossing the frontier in Yorbu. The fighting was for the most part was half-hearted as the two capable leaders split forces and trap the one smaller force between them. The renegade that spoke with confidence while hidden behind the shields of his body guard, realized his situation was no longer tenable only after it was too late.

A young captain of the former king's palace guard was the first to catch up with the fleeing renegade. The savagery in which the pretender was dispatched was left of all offical reports, but the captain was found by his the king's staff afterwards, in tears, still stabbing the remains of the traitor. He was later walked away from the scene and marched back to the palace in honor to take his old post as captain of the palace guard.

Elsewhere, the fighting died away quickly. Only a few pockets of resistance were encountered, and once done, the the triumphant King soon realized that the population was relieved to have their true king back and eagerly accepted his return. Viewed somewhat skeptically, the king decided to go with the flow and march his army back to his own lands as relations normalized and looked to be returning back to thier former levels. Once more the Niger traffic flowed unabated.

On an equally positive note, efforts in Oyo were met with complete success, especially after the overwhelming victory in Ife.

The Sovereign Nation of Ife - Assimulated
Reclaimed by the Kingdom of Togo from the Pretender. The executions of the turn-coats, though limited in scope, were very public.

Kingdom of Tanzania
Diplomacy: Uere- EA.
Continuing the outstanding reclaimation project, vast stretches of jungle were cut back and more and more homesteads were laid down and many a silo was seen raising above the nearby trees. One amusing story circulated around the workers about the structures being built. Evidently one worker, not particularly bright but very beleiveable swore that he over heard the king just recently state that the structures were not really silos, but were monuments to the long forgotten god of virility. The story, so beleiveable, at least to the workers, took great care in constructing the homesteads as the beleived that they were building new holy shrines. When word got back to King Dargen it was all he could do to not laugh at the courier.

Dargen took his energies and directed it towards other positive endeavors. Organizing his staff, he sent the entire court to Uere to secure stronger relations with the territory. The old addage, too many cooks spoil the feast could have applied here. Error after error crept into the negotiations so that for every two steps gained previously, one step back was suffered. AFter it was said and done, some progress was made, but nearly what the effort should have warranted.

Tunisa: King Feltin Zerid
Diplomacy: Cheliff - EA.
On the cheerful northern African coast, King Feltin Zerid decreed that the creature comforts enjoyed in Tunisa should be brought to other lands. Kabila profitted from the addditional work, much to the people's appreciation. Bouyed by the swelling national pride, King Feltin Zerid traveled to Cheliff to personally negotiate a new treaty. Slow but steady progress was made, mostly with the promise that the growing properity would soon be brought to Cheliff too if they were incorporated into the Tunisian Empire.

For the most part, the rest of the royal family stayed at the empire's palace governing and making babies. Both were done quite effeciently. The fun-loving, but ever vigilant, Gevhan continued to march the massive Tunisian Army in an impressive display of might. However, the much anticipated attack again failed to materialize.

Europe

Andalusia: His Royal Highness, Hector I
Diplomacy: Zirid - NT, Portugal - F, Morroco - A.
Sadly, the strain upon the King's brother, Lord Poncho proved too strong and shortly after completeing the inventory lists and the comprhensive paper work involved in any change of command for a force of this size, the cagey old wrk-horse of the nation passed away. The ripple effect through out the nation was failrly minimal though. Being dispatched to administer the court in his brother's absence the loss was handled as a matter of fact when the governmental machine kicked its operating efficency up to compensate for the lost aide.

The pause, if there was one, was brief and the mission of the Southern Spanish Monarch was carried out as his diplomatic efforts met exceptional success. However, the people wondered if any attention was going to be finally paid to internal matters as people clammered for more opportunites to be self-sufficent. Aside from more room being made to accomodate the growing court staff in Seville, little was down to answer these questions.

Navarre -King Snacho Garces
Diplomacy: Auvergne - EA, Limousin - FA, Lyonnais -T.
Needing to clear out closet space and tired of waiting on his several daughters for a quiet moment in the royal bathroom, King Sancho Garces banised, er..., married off his two lovely and one, well not lovely, daughters to several South French nobles. The results were mostly to the liking of King Sancho Garces, but not wholly with out complications. Dispatching couriers with portraits of his daughters, the proud noble of Lyonnais was lead to beleive that he was to wed Marta Susana, the eldest and most beautiful of all the Spanish Princesses. Unfortunately for the gentleman, little Princess Tertseita Soledad, just barely of age was brought north. Disaster would have struck had it not been for the smooth-talking Baldomero Espartero who managed to convince the nobleman that the "ugly duckling always becomes the beautiful swan."

Unfortunately, Baldomero Espartero passed away from humid conditions that had plagued the area that summer. According to the nobleman of Lyonnais, Baldomero Espartero explained that he was to travel to the court and present himself to King Sancho Garces as his able replacement. Seizing the moment, he took his newly wedded bride to Navarre to present himeslf to the court. Upon arriving in in Calahorra he met with Sancho Garces, but indicated that he should appoint him as heir and then he will secure Lyonnais's loyalty. A bemused look crossed the sly monarch as he retired to his chambers with out uttering a word. More would be heard about this to be certain.

A town in the northern reaches of Gascony was laid down and named was named after a lovely female actress/poet called Bordeaux. Merchants eagerly awaited the possibility of plundering the naive northern neighbors stock and commodity markets.

The Exarchy of Milan
Diplomacy: Latuim - EA, Switzerland - NT, Tuscany - NE..
After a breif change in management, the Northern Italian Pennisula was back in working order, expanding the borders and consolidating previous achievments.

Curiously, as one would expect an elected offical, not a hereditary ruler, the King meticulously doled out funds to begin the process of enhancing all urban areas in the kingdom equally. In addition, the towns of Milan and Turin both doubled in size. The larger population base meant that the king needed to forge new sources of income and decided to utlize a forgotten trade route, employing hundreds. While the immediate impact will be negligable, the wise monarch always had an eye towards the future.

Concerned with the militaristic Spaniards, a decision was made to equip a new force of men and calls went out for recruits. Over all 1,000 men answered the call and were outfitted with, sword, shield and can of gapesto soup.

The Kingdom of France - Robert the Fair
Diplomacy: Vermandois - F, Ponthieu - EA.
Like the bees of a hive, there was lots of activity, working on the whole as one rather than focused development on any one aspect was beginning to bring the plan of Robert the Fair into sharper focus. Unfortunately, the brave compatriot of Robert, The warden to his northen reaches passed away as he fell from his horse while excercising with the lads.

Sadden, but not distracted, Robert the Fair ordered yet another city to be built and directed that a memorial be constructed in Paris in his fallen friends name. The result was better than hope for as an increase in tourism sparked the development of a trde center, growing from the Seine River. From death grew greater economic life. The deceased Norman Lord would have been pleased to learned that he assisted the Kingdom and its people, one last time.

Robert's eldest daughter was married off to a local lord in Ponthieu. The ceromony, the largest in Europe to this date, was magnificent as caterers from all over the old world made bids to out do each other in the spirit of competitive one-upsmenship.

The Kingdom of England
Diplomacy: Lancashire -NE, Gwynned - NT, Dyffed - NT.
King Christopher had a dream, well two dreams. Well to be technical, he dreamed often about many things, but the dream that he spoke of was uniting the Isle under one king, bring back the glory of its past great kings, like King Arthur. He sent out parties to talk with local nobles, ultimately with little effect though, and encountered suprisingly strong resistance to his kingdoms presence in Gwynned and Dyffed, were the difference in religion and langauge prevented much in the way in progress and the diplomatic efforts could only produce limited lip-service to the crown. So much for the dream?

London, on the other hand, continued its impressive growth rate, expanding nearly faster than resources could allow, but only nearly. More converions of the pagan people were carried out in Lanchashie and Northumbria, and for the most part were completed, put pockets of the poly-thesitic lifestyles continued to hold out in the more rural areas of the territories.

Bavaria
Diplomacy: .
No Turn Recieved.

The Kingdom of Holland - His Exalted, King Axel
Diplomacy: Holstein - F, Freisland - A.
In a clever bit of diplomacy, King Axel doubled his efforts in wooing the Holstein people by first building a port city named Kiel so that the proud Holstienians can export the vaunted crafts and goods and then directed even more resources to partian the lands in to farmable tracts, completely winning the hearts and loyalties of the local people who strongly pledged the support to the Danish crown.

Friesland, feeling only slightly less positive, knew that by holding out, that they too could have the same attenion lavished upon themselves from King Axel, but only if they could play hard to get in the negotiation process. None-the-less, negotiations were steady through out. Life continued to be pleasant and cheerful for the Dutch, and well, lucrative..

The Roman Catholic Church
Ecclesiastical Constructs: Savoy - Monestary, Catalonia - Failed, Lorraine - Abbey, Holland - Church, Liguria - Abbey, Navarre - Chruch
Pope Innocent, sparing no expenses and pulling every spritual string available to him worked his staff hard, traveling briskly to the far corners of accepted christianity, attempting to push the borders further and the strenghten the foundation from within. Much more success was witness than in the past. Pope Innocent III and the college of cardinals were learnign to excel at the ever-challenging jobs. The Arch-Bishops were equally sucessful.

The people readily accepted the charity of the Roman Pontiff, but there were some rumblings about the lavish nature that the Bishops spent the church's money, seemingly bribing the new converts. The strongest demonstrations were in Catalonia where riots actually broke out, not due to any fault of the traveling Arch-Bishop, but in general response to the increased catholic presense. One such roit actually witnessed the whole-sale slaughter of some kindly monks that had just set up their chapter and monestary. Certianly this was not the feelings of the entire population?

The Kingdom of Poland:His Excellency, King Mieszko I
Diplomacy: Danzig - F.
Deciding to err on both sides, King Mieszko I sent his entire court to woo the locals in Danzig. What was lacked in grace, sophistication and skill, was made up for with heart, sincerity and boyish charm. Swept off their collective feet, the entire region embraced the overtures made by the Poles and Danzig agreed to join the Kingdom of Poland.

Focusing his energies at home, King Mieszko I completed his ancestors age old dream of completely cultivating the region of Poland proper. Hopefully this would be the first step in getting the Polish people on the right tract and be a source of economic stability that they would need in the future. In addition, the incorporation of Danzig into the Polish Camp gives the opportunity to develop more routes in trade. This too could be the future basis of a growing economy. Maybe history will now remark to the insights that the Poles have rather than having fun at thier expense?

The Kingdom of Svear
Diplomacy: Skane - NT
The quiet Swedes, only occasionally demonstrating any interests in the outside world, that is outside of Svear, made, comparatively speaking to its recorded past, a bold move. With wary eyes shifting back and forth from the Eastern Baltic Sea where the resurgent Teutonic Kingts set up shop and in the West, the dastardly Dutch, the King of Svear moved his diplomats south into Skane. Unfortunately, the younger cousin of the King Anders, Bragi, is not a very talanted diplomat. Unless, you considering songs about a, "dickey-die-do," while extremly intoxicated and making none-too-quiet-observations to the king that, "I bet you a fiver that I hammer her like a six-penny nail." Unfortunately, his was speaking of the noble's youngest daughter of 13 years of age.

Fortunately, the day was saved by the young aide to Bragi's mission. Walther, a talented diplomat in his own right, soothed the angered noble with remarks like, "Worry not milord, he was dropped on his head at birth...twice." Demanding proper respect before any further discussions would be advanced the noble requested that a new diplomat be sent to replace the lout Bragi.

Aside from the political happenings, the Swedes in their boats were growing very confident about their navy.

The Russian Empire
Diplomacy: Pereaslav - A,
Another snowy and quite night in Moscow. Once again, bidding his time, the russian czar squirelled his resources away, a little here , a little there. This seemed to be the trend that will coninue to be expected in the future. Only time will tell if the Russian people will benefit from this strategy.

The Teutonic Order of Knights: Grand-Marshal Karl von Trier
Diplomacy: Daugava - EA.
From the snowy north, the cry for order was heard. When the mist and fog rolled back, a bloc of land-rich knights, relocated from Central Europe, announced that they were to bring structure and order to the area. With the announcement, Karl von Trier assumed the the title of "Grand-Marshal" and began organizing a court. Once this was in hand, Karl von Trier odered delegates to be sent to the southern reaches of his newly acquired lands and forge a treaty of some kind in Daugava.

Master Gerhard von Jocke, second in command, travelled under the supervision of his new leige-lord and was able to conclude a deeper economic tie to the people of Daugava. Many changes were effected, some wide ranging, some rather focused. All however, were secrets kept with in the borders of the new Kingdom of the Teutonic Order of Knights.
