The Khemer
Kingdom: Ieng Sary
Diplomacy: Siam - F, Cochin - FA.
Recovering from the previous tragedy, King Ieng Sary went about creating the largest city and than set about making certain that Angor would alwasy be the grandest city ever. The workers remained happy as they were given more and more autonomy with working their own farms. As far as things were observed, nothing changed in the daily routine of the Khemer court, with teh notable exception, the long awaited Prince Zeng Sary came of age and had already began to demonstrate the politcal savvy of a seasoned courtier. Great things were to be expected from Zeng Sary in the upcoing years. Bets were that he would succeed.

The Republic of India - Sanji Pontek the Illuminated
Wishing for more exact knoweldged, a census was ordered by Chandragupta and was rewarded with the knowledge that his future goals were now that much more easily seen in the near distance.
Diplomacy: None - National Conversion to Catholicism.
In the midst of ordering his cabinet to set about building an militia and further area beautification projects, Sanji Pontek was gripped in the thros of yet another religious vision. Now the vision was clear. Go out among the sheep and bring your flock into the Hands of God. "You," the visionary figure announced to Sanji Pontek, "you go and be my representative amongst your mortal subjects and my eternal flock." Before fading, the vision directed one last decree. "Bring these frightened children into the house of God, educated and convert the heathens. This is your task. We must saved all souls from the darkness that will surely come from the North. You must not fail me."
While no one else could say that they say the vision, they all felt a powerful presence in the hearts. No petty bickering or jocking for attention from the King was witnessed. Rather, to a man, they all joined around the King until he could gather himeslf. As he raised, the man that was King was now more. His presence was more complete and regal. All there bowed as he rose, and those that he touched felt a calmness that reminded each one of long ago dreams. Understanding the commands each man was tasked with an aspect of converting the kingdom and all other tasks were dropped. The group made their way as quickly as possible to their areas of responsibilty and began the feverish work of enlightening the masses. Through out the Kingdom, the work was amazing in its acceptance. The Kingdom proper was completely converted and our side of that, they found large and eager crowds. Sanji Pontek knew that God's work was being completed according to his wishes.
The Mauryan Empire: His Royal Personage Chandragupta
Diplomacy:None
Listening to the fables remembered from his childhood, Chandragupta paricularly enjoyed the one about the tortoise and the hare. Adhering to the concept to the letter, Chandragupta inched his way towards his goal with a determination that that would have witness nary a blink from the old king.
The Middle East:
Diplomacy: Singanakh - NT, Uzebek - C.
Following through on promises to his people that he would find a more effecient manner in which to lay out more farms and increase the irrigation capacity of the mountina spring fed lakes, Kara Chethosk completed just that, after an impressive organizational campaign. Unfortunately, the task proved to be the end of his beloved brother, Kara Batnaran as a retaining wall that he decided to inspect himself collapsed again and buried the young heir. A state funeral was held and all work was stopped for a week as the nation mourned its favorite son.
Galvanised by the senseless loss, the workers redoubled the efforts and more farm house went up and homesteads were staked out to begin harnessing the land. Proud to announce though still wracked in his grief, Kara Chethosk announced that a son was borned, many speculated that he too would be named after the king's lost brother.
The Babylon Empire
Diplomacy:
Abadan - NE, Ahvaz - NE, Carhae - F
As the king directed his ministers, in his annual budget planning, he noted that his younger brother, Amurra, had failed to show up. Sending a courier to collect the delinquent heir, the meeting continued until the courier returned, out of breath suggesting that the king and the cabinet should come at once. Upon arriving at the Heir's wing, Amurra was found dead after, evidently, stepping out from bath tub in his morning preparation for the meeting. It was determined that he must have slipped on the wet tile and broke his neck. The rational for this conclusion was easy enough. Prince Qirwash deeply saddened by the loss, was the first to move into inspect his fallen uncle and he too slipped on the still wet tile and fell awkardly, and with a disconcernting crack. The proud Prince Qirwash died then and there, laying next to his fallen uncle.
The brightest stars seem to burn the quickest. Unfortunately, the court was severely crippled with the untimely loss of such dear and close relatives. The king was most affected and closed his doors to grieve quietly. Realizing that bad things cames in threes, Belshum-iddin left as was origionally tasked and traveled to Carhae were he secured the last obstacle in the relations between the two regions and finally and fully incorporated Carhae in the Babylonian Empire.
The Hellespont Empire - The Wonderous Philospher King Gillipoianus
Diplomacy: Macedon -A, Phygyria- FA.
The Numbulin Alliance: The Magnificent Zoward
Diplomacy: Adal -FA, Yemen - FA.
The Magnificent Zoward, well educated, but terribly sheltered from much of reality, stumbled into a grisly event. A slave was being punished for a very minor transgression. The offending slave had only made eye contact with his master, for which, the offending eye was being removed, publically, in the presences of his only son, who was alos a slave of the callous merchant. Zoward was too late to prevent the punishiment, much to his (and the slave's) disappointment. Evidently, Zoward felt that men should not be held captitive and forced to work against their wills and decreed the following:
"All men, (well at least those out side the royal family obviously), are created equal. From this day forward, the People of the greatest land of all the lands shall be free to work in an peaceful pastoral kingdom where a man may provide for himself and his family by the sweat of his brow."
When an adivsor advised him of the actual cost, Zoward simply had the his publically spoken decree altered offically to reflect that, "from this day foward,...we will work towards becoming a...." To effect this change, Zoward implimented a new code of laws outlawing slavery. The first citizen to be "reconditioned" was the beastly merchant, who, to his disappointment, lose his eyes in return for the blinding of his former slave. For generations, historians would incorrectly credit another civilzation with the legal retribution phrase, "an eye for an eye," but it happened here first.
The rest of the kingdom continued pretty much along in the same manner as before as the sweeping economic changes were slow to rapidate outwards into the rural regions, but more regional work was completed as more farms were parcelled out to met future growth expections. Work on expanding the national university continued as well as some over eager merchants, competitors of the now sightless merchant that were ready to establish trade routes, but realized that didn't know with whom they should trade with just yet.
The Kingdom of Egypt: King Alrek
Diplomacy: Jordan - NT.
A continued peaceful reign was enforced as the king simply wondered aimlessly in his gardens as the incessant demands of court drove him into nightly seclusions. In his distracted state, he failed to realize that he alloted too many workers to complete the regional beautification of his homeland and rather than bother the sleeping monarch, an underling took the initiative to redirect the workers else where but to work in the same task. It was uncertain if the king even took notice as he meeted out judgement in a half hearted, but fair for the most part, way.
The news that his trusted henchmen, Jo-Dahk passing away at his desk while organizing the next days schedule was duly received, but barely acknowledged by King Alrek. The nearby ministers worried that the king's depression would become public knowledge. Uncertain what the reaction would be, but wagering that the knowledge was unecessary, the mnisters closed rank to cloak the great king.
Africa
Diplomacy: Nguni -A.
Caesarion witnessed a simple request of, "oh boy, go and see what those stones over there are will you?" Turn out to be a significant archeological find of another past civilzation. Evidently, scholars remarked, this is the previous civilzation. However, this went against the scrolls of history that indicated that this area was unpopulated. Ever quick on his feet, and with out proof of otherwise, Caesarion published that the find was in fact that of a long past civilization that left long before his direct ancestors arrived here, but no reason could be determined why they left. There was little rumbling about the discrepency as the find produced an mine shaft of pure gold ore and turned out to be so lucrative that tourist and business alike flocked to the Cape to participate in the new wealth of the kingdom.
Expeditions to Ngunia were well timed with the announcement of the Cape as a new Trade Center and the people were all to willing to share in the find and pledged allegiencies to the Cape throne.
The Holy Church of Madregai
Ecclesiastical Constructs: Ghana - Abbey, Hausa -Failed.
His Holy Father, Tuhara traveled far into the depths of the Jungle.finding small village after small village, he preached about the benefits of organized whorship to the true faith. Some success was realized early on, but the further he traveled, the more indifference and or increasing hostilities were witnessed. Understanding that the process is a slow, but ultimately important task, he settled down to gather this way-ward flock. (The Tenets of this faith are once again listed below as needed)
The espoused tenets of this faith are as follows:
1) All Madregans are to love and protect each other; all are equal under the eyes of Madrena (our Mother).
2) All nonbelievers are to be converted to the true way, if they persist in non-belief then they will be punished for their non-belief by slavery or subjugation, until they see the true way. Then they can be free.
3) Each person contains four aspects:
a) Earth = humility; happiness
b) Sky = idealism; creativity
c) Water = purity; clarity of purpose
d)Fire = emotion
The goal is to strike a balance between these.
4) Usury is the right of the Holy Church alone.

Togo
Diplomacy: Ife - CW, Oyo - NE.
Year 26 of the peaceful reign of Noambi witness the wizened monarch passed away, quite unexpectedly, while he slept. Evidently, after a night of herculean efforts as nine months later, the harried former queen announced the birth of Noambi's last male hier.
The next four years witnessed the true character of Noambi's former ministers and aides as the anticipated struggle for power commenced. Fortunately, for the people of Togo, the succession went nearly with out hitch as the king's younger brother did two things quickly and effeciently. First, he annointed his deceased brothers eldest child as a prince of the realm and would name his own eldest son as Heir to the throne. This was made possible to the complete backing of the national army as every spear wielding warrior cheered the announcement.
At the state funeral however, the crafty and slick Ally of Ife announced that he would not attend the funeral and would take his army and fortify the newly created Soveriegn Nation of Ife as his allegiances were with the former King and personally suspected foul play to his friend. The accusations were however, with out merit as it was widely acknowledged that the king left this world as the mighty sun god Jubo needed an able leader to rally the fallen warriors in battle, or so the local witch doctor announced. Equally unfortunately, the gold shipped to Ife to outfit a force of 1,000 men was used just for that reason and now boasted a sizable army.
A dedication to the national leader was announced to usher in a new age of guidance and more funds were alloted to the local university to court more and more studnets from abroad. Some work is left to complete for this to be realized however.
On a more enlightened note, a trip, cut tragically short, the future king was able to met with the ecclesiastical leader of the Madregian Church and was swayed by the promising words of "organized religion."
The Sovereign Nation of Ife
Newly founded nation founded by the opportunistic man, Manute, when the ruling Monarch passed away. Claiming his rightful position as king, Manute claimed that his friend, Noambi was murdered and pledged to find the murderer at any expense. However, his diligence in investigating the "murder" was only seen in form of fortifying the borders to repel invaders and dispatching his navy to blockade the Niger River.
Kingdom of Tanzania
Diplomacy: Leuru - F.
Only the roar of the lion could be heard in the distance. While much work was done, it was not witness by any outside presence, and the people liked it that way. The however, enjoyed the fruits of the hard work as the rain season lasted longer than they thought, but their careful preparations prevented any flooding of anything important.
Tunisa: King Feltin Zerid
Diplomacy:Cheliff - NT, Algeria - FA.
Ah life was good as now King Feltin surveyed the new maps and realized there were
more cultivated lands than had been anticipated. (The original Cartographer was sentenced and exectued for treason, or was it the other way around?) He travelled
west and later returned to Tunisia to await the build up of workers to
either colonize Malta or perhaps build a port city someplace.
The other cabinet members were left to their own devices, and play they did. One got himself so worked up that invasion was imminent that he took the army and marched after every dust cloud that was reported. Much to his relief, he was able to report back to the king, who had returned previously to barracks with nary a soldier, that he had chased vast armies from his highness' borders by parading the might of the Tunisian Army in their path. Skeptically eyeing his minister, King Zerid smiled an easing smile and patted the young man on his shoulder, intentionally forgeting to ask about the spoils that normally accompany sweeping victories..."best not to over tax the young man in the midst his glorious return he thought."
Europe
Andalusia: His Royal Highness, Hector I
Diplomacy: Sicily - NT, Portugal - A, Morroco - NE.
Hector I, king of Southern Spain looked strenghtening his grip on the Atlantic ocean, but kept his plans for the Med in play. Ordering his hencman to Portugal to secure their relations, they found willing listeners that only a comman heritage and langauge would allow and allegiencies were sorted out. Inspired by the success, King Hector ordered valuable reasources to create a city on the northern Iberian Coast in Galacia. Soon, the english and dutch merchants would be bring much needed wealth to his lands. All the better.
The only cavet to his plans were he sent his son to Sicily on diplomatic mission and to marry a local noble's daughter. The visiter, a newly crowned prince was received well, but the nobleman had only one daughter, and she was too young, just now, to marry. However, ever the shrewd businessmen, hte noble set about working out the details of the arrangement and demanded a dowary of 10 GP as a suitable amount for his daughter's hand, and his people's loyality. Not wanting to disappoint his father, the young prince agreed to conditions and sent word back to his father.
Navarre - Snacho Garces
Diplomacy: Auvergne - NE, Limousin - NE, Provence -F.
King Garces took a moment to collect his breath and paused long enought to allow the whirlwind of court activity to catch up and enjoy the sojourn. For the workers of the kingdom, the frenetic pace continued as troops marched in one direction and workers moved in another in an impressive dispaly of coordination as the bulk of the large army reposition itselft back to its home and wifes met long missed husbands with arms open. Even the gifted Alfrado was afforded a small break before he was dispatched to tend to the army.
Stops along the way when activities started up again for the court proved useless as the visits were too short-lived to produce anything more than passing greetings. However, talks in Provence were both efficient and productive as the Southern Franks agreed to support the Navarre Crown fully.

The Kingdom of France - Robert the Fair
Diplomacy: Vermandois - FA.
Decided after many bumpy rides back forth between his second home in Lemans that a roady with a smoothy, easy surface would be made from his palace in Paris to his country home estate in Lemans. The bumpier the road, the more determined and focused Robert became, to the point that more and more resources were alloted until he glanced up from the organization of more work parties and realized that they were already there. So, with time to spare, he and his son and heir traveled to Vermandois.
There the strongest noble bent his knee in the presences of the Fair King and swore homage to the throne of France. The glory of France spread yet more and the king was happy when he returned to his wife's side, so much that rumors were heard to about a new addition to the royal family. However, business never stops and concerns over security manifested in the call up of sevearl hundred foot soldiers to keep the newly contructed road clear of brigands.
The Kingdom of England
Diplomacy: Lancashire -A..
King Christopher marched back to his palace and noticed that the backwoods people that inhabited his kingdom were by large still clingin to thier Pagan ways. So, like what any sensible Englishman would do, he traveled along, suggesting that it would be better for them to convert to his national church. People listened in the fashion that one listens to a man that holds life and death in his hands and paid face value. However, the vast majority went back to their wooden circles and glens to carry on in the drudic way. Suprisingly though, the word sank in with the younger crowd and was received somewhat better. Much more work would be left yet to do if Christopher wanted to bring the correct word of God to all his subjects.
Dispatched to Lanashire, Robert took the bumbling Gregory along, more or less to keep him out of trouble. This time, Gregory's assistance proved invalueable as his contributions enhanced the discussions and Lancashire was brought that much closer to throne of England.
Returning to the city proper, Christopher was pleased to see that the town on the Thames River was continuing to grow and ordered more and more bath houses and sewers to accomodate the influx of people into the city.

The Kingdom of Holland - His Exalted, King Axel
Diplomacy: Holstein - EA, Freisland - T.
Turning a well reasoned and paroniod eye to internal security, King Axel summoned 200 horse and 600 foot to form the core of milita to gaurd against those that would falsely covet the windmills and dykes of the pastoral kingdom. Continuing on in the extension of Dutch efforts, workers continued to establish new farms, claimed from the vast Western European forests in Lorraine.
Looking to make his own way in the world, young Prince Ronan thought to assist efforts in his talks with the locals, he took a young bride, but failed to find time to consummate the wedding as the talks with the local nobles consummed too much of his time, considering the final results as the nobles refused to waive their sovereingty over their people, but the necessity for the finely made Dutch crafts made further economic ties a fordrawn conclusion.
Surprising easy talks were witnessed in Freisland. Evidently, the nobles in Westphalia had been raiding into Freisland, killing the eldest noble hier. When Prince Hardbert suggested that possible marriage talks with the nobles youngest, (the most fair of the four) daughter could be arranged he quickly agreed and pledged tribute to the Dutch throne if they will agree to resolve the problem from Westphalia.

His
Eminences, the Pope Innocent the IIII, shrugged of the accusations of slothfuliness and greed to demonstrate that the salvation o fmankind was his only concern whipped the listeners of his papal bull and began in earnest the contructs that would be the foundation of achievements to come. In Northern Europe, the people rejoiced in God's name has organized whorsip was conducted in ever increasing splendor. The two talented Arch-Bishops traveled afar themselves to spread the gospel and oversee the continuation of church propertys. Together their efforts nearly equaled that of Pope Innocent the III,but those close by saw that the herculean effort severely taxed the great Pope.
The Kingdom of Poland:His Excellency, King Mieszko I
Diplomacy:
Kauyavia - A, Danzig - T.
Before undertaking his travels abroad to find a suitable bride, King Mieszko set down at a table to dictate to teams of scribes of his gloroius plan of draging the Poles into the 11th Century, kicking and screaming if necessary, and ordered that several new homesteads to be created out of the country side. The farms with up in a flurry of activity and the results were both immediate and positive as noble and peasant alike reaped the whirlwind of activity.
With his mind clearly at ease, trusting his advisers to complete the tasks given to them, Mieszko I traveled briefly to the lands of Kauyavia and met a comely local noble lass and made her his bride. The local noble family swore an oather of fealty to his leigeship and indicated that they would be receptive to further relations as they too had turned a wary eye to the west and north. S imilar outing to their northen distant relatives were similarly productive as Danzig pledged annual tributes to the throne in Poland..
The Kingdom of Svear

The Russian Empire
Diplomacy: Keiv - F, Kriviton - F, Pereaslav - NE, Polotsk - NE.
Sitting upon his throne, Pavel Provalov, answered questions and complaints of the peasants as he carefully mamaged the kingdom. In his spare time, he directed the increase of arigation ditches to supply more water from the Divna River into the heart of his kingdom. Pavel realized the his people would be happier with more food in their belly's. More farms in the future would see to that eventually.
His ministers traveled to long time supporters of the Russian throne and finalized the long expected incorporation of Keiv and Kriviton. However, not everything went rosy for the heavily bearded monarch. Diplomatic efforts were met with chilly indifference in Polotsk and Pereaslav. Indications from objective observers were that while the words were soothing, the parties listening seemed to be simply uninterested in allowing further encrochment from the Muscovites.
