TURN 34 ORDERS DUE Monday, August 26th, 2002, 11:59 p.m.
ANNOUNCEMENTS AND GM COMMENTS
Going back to an old comment I had made many turns ago. I received a set of orders that were in Document format. They would not convert easily into text nor would they convert easily into Document format again. Player tried resending the orders but once again sent them in Document format. They were once more incomplete when converted. I forfeited the players turn because I have statement this on turn 16, 17 and 18 if the orders will not convert into text format correctly a blank set of orders will be made for that nation. I will state it right now if you like your Document formated orders fine, just don't send them to me. Copy all the information into an email message and sent your orders that way. Make sure they are readable after copying.
A side note for those who are wondering since I can find no reference for this anywhere it's just make it a standard use that 2 NFP will equal 1 cargo when loaded onto ships.
Due to an upcoming vacation on July 20th I will be pushing the next turn back until the next month. So, turn 34 will be due in August giving everyone just about two months to work out their turns are credit issues if they have any. I'll still be answering email so keep sending in your questions. I might be on vacation with the family but I'll not be out of contact.

THE NORSE KINGDOM OF ICELAND

The Norse of Iceland continue to just sit and watch. They are pretty safe on their island nation.
Only thing they have to watch out for is the change in rulers from time to time. In 1163 a new
younger ruler came to the throne.

THE KINGDOM OF THE SVEAR
Jamerik
Effects: Agder (c), Fjordane (fa)
Jamerik ordered the construction of some public work projects within the city of Vettermark. He
ruled over the kingdom and had hopes to see another child born during his five year rule but
that's all it ever was was just hope.
Jad stayed on in Agder and continued his talks. After ten years of talking with the locals now the best he can ever do with them was gain a claimed on the lands. He'll never gain anything better then this one step status treaty.
Danik moved into Fjordane and begun talking with the locals. He talked and talked when the year 1065 came around he asked for a treaty agreement was received the highest that the kingdom will ever have with a wilderness land, military alliance.

THE KINGDOM OF AENGLAND
Harold, King of England
Effects: Brabant (n, rebelled), Sutton (oc), York (oc)
Harold watched in horror as the armies of Navarre surrounded his port cities of Sutton and York
and then besieged them for the next two years. When they did surrender in the fall of 1062 the
lands of Brabant and it's city proclaimed themselves neutral from the kingdom. This was the end
of the Aenglish nation completely. Only hope for an Aenglish appearing again is if the Duke of
Normandy grows and expands his realm back into Aenglish lands.

Western Europe
THE KINGDOM OF HOLLAND
King (__K676__)
Effects: Lorraine (oc)
Suffered morea at the hands of thwe Duchy of Bohemia. An army came upon the people of Lorraine
and forced they away from their government and to pay a tribute to a brutal overlord. Peaceful
ways were not the ways of the men from the Duchy of Bohemia, they are bringers of only death.

THE DUCHY OF BOHEMIA
Wolfgang Govner II
Effects: Alsace (f), Lorraine (pt)
Wolfgang Govner II ordered the construction of a public work project within the lands of Thuringia.
Wolfgang Govner II continued his rule over the Duchy and tried and failed to produce an heir of his
own.
Lunz Govner watched over his own family and tried unsuccessfully to produce more.
Sam Govner was given command of a small force to move against the Kingdom of Holland once again. His attack in Lorraine met not a single militia. The lands was easily taken and the city fall after four months of sieging. He moved into Friesland and started the siege on the port city of Bremen. The siege continued for eight months before the defenders just could not hold off any longer. Bremen surrendered and Sam Govner moved back into Saxony to report his success.
Lord Dirken and Lord Sumava VI stayed in Alsace and continued their talks with the locals. They were soon joined by the newest general Lord Goldbull III. The talks with the people of Alsace gained a little power with the third general joining the talks. When 1065 came around the people of Alsace signed a friendly treaty with the Duchy of Bohemia.

DUCHY OF NORMANDY
Desmond, Duke of Normandy
Effects: none
Desmond had to search around to locate the gold needed to keep his nation going. He found it by
making some of his fighting men into workers. Once that was done he relaxed in his throneroom
watching over the Duchy.

LE ROYAUME DE FRANCE
Henry, King of West Francia
Effects: Champagne (t), Flanders (ea), Orleans (fa)
Henry ordered the construction of some public work projects in Hainaut. He then ruled over the
kingdom awaiting the day his son would be of age to be crowned his heir.
Jean-Baptiste received orders to move into the wilderness land of Orleans. He moved there and began the talks to bring the people of this land into the nation of France. In 1065, the signing of the military alliance was completed and sent back to the capital.
Lancelot moved into the wilderness lands of Champagne and started the peace talks with the people of the region. His talks were move productive then Jean-Baptiste's were. In 1065, a paying tribute treaty was signed and sealed. It was soon sent to the capital.
Cristian was sent off to the coastal land of Flanders. It was his duty to gain a treaty from this once Aenglish land. He talked until the very end of 1065 and was pleased to witness the signing of an economic alliance treaty.
Parnell was once again left to guard the homeland from all land attacks that would come against it.

The kingdom just sits and watches the days pass it by. The French nation nextdoor continues to grow
and spread while this one just sits and waits.

THE KINGDOM OF ITALY
Gaius, King of Verona
Effects: Sicily (f)
Gaius Caesar ruled over the kingdom for five years never finding enough time to find himself a wife
and produce an heir to his throne.

EL REINO DE NAVARRE
Sancho, King of Navarre
Effects: none
Phillip III ordered the construction of some public work projects in the lands of Leon and Portugal.
He started a rule that he would never finish. The running of the government was left in the hands of
Cristobal in 1062. Sancho was crowned in 1061 as the heir but could not take over when his father
passed away in the summer of 1062 there was not enough time for a rule to be completed. The lands of
the nation never even felt the thinning of the government in the day to day activities of the
kingdom.
Domingo passed away before he could even begin a new round of peace talks with the people of Andalusia. His replacement was appointed in 1065 by Sancho.
Blasco moved his forces into Anglia and the sieged Sutton. With the fall of the city to the Navarre forces the complete destruction of the Aenglish Kingdom was complete for Gian-Carlo got the city of York to surredner just one month before that. Aengland had been conquered by another nation in less then ten years.

THE DUCHY OF ESTONIA
Dmitri, Duke of Estonia
Effects: none
Dmitri ordered the expansion of the port city of Sankt Peterburg. He also ordered the building of
some public work projects in the land of Kymia. He then ruled over the Duchy for a period of five
years.
Map changes: Sankt Peterburg is now a Type-Two Port City.
THE HIGH REPUBLIC OF HELLRIEGER
Lore, King of Poland
Effects: Little Poland (ea)
Lore ordered the expansion of the cities of Auir and Da'Kur. He then ordered the construction of
some public work projects in the land of Poland. His rule over the nation was aided by Lord Jarod.
Prince Kristian traveled down into Little Poland and talked with the locals there. His talks were pretty long but the locals seemed very intersted. In 1065, Prince Kristian witnessed the signing of an economic alliance.

THE GRAND DUCHY OF KIEV
Bryan, Archduke of Kiev
Effects: none
Bryan reasoned that his people were starving so he ordered that some of the workforce be sent out
in small fishing boats to help produce more food for his people.

THE ORIENTAL ROMAN EMPIRE
Heraclius, Eastern Roman Empire
Effects: Bulgaria (ea), Crimea (nt), Georgia (ea), Phrygia (f)
Flavius Heraclius ordered the expansion of the cities of Phasis, Trapezas, Troy and Volos. He also
ordered the building of some public work projects within the lands of Psidia. He then ruled over
the empire for the next five years.
Martinianus moved from the forested lands of Abasigia into the forested land of Georgia. The people here needed that extra help from the government to sign a treaty at all. The government had sent some diplomats to Georgia to aid Martinianus with his talks. When the final days of 1065 came along he was witnessing the signing of an economic alliance. The diplomats were mostly responsable for this. It was also rumored that a group of missionaries had successfully converted some of the locals of Georgia to the Eastern Orthodox beliefs.
Palladius was given the task of traveling into the wilderness land of Bulgaria. It was his duty to to be th spokesman for the crown and government of the Empire. He spoke of the things the empire has done for other lands under it's protections. The people of Bulgaria liked what the empire has done with the past with other lands. In 1065, an economic alliance treaty was signed to give the empire a chance.
Charegiselus moved across the mountains into Phrygia and talked with the locals there. He talked for five years. In 1065 after lengthy talks the people of Phrygia signed the friendly treaty just barely.
Agnellus was sent to the steppe lands of Crimea. It was the hope of the empire to gain a foothold within these far off Eastern Orthodox believers. Agnellus' talks were strong and he had a great skill at making people listen. When 1065 came around the people of Crimea willing signed a non-paying tribute.

THE HAMADID EMIRAT

A new ruler came to the throne in 1063. A more youth ruler might just be what this nation needed
to gain an advisor that will help guide it into a period of growth.

THE BUWAYID EMIRATES
Ali, Emir of Emirs, Protector of the Baghdad Caliph
Effects: Ahvaz (t), Diyala (ea)
Ali did not get any advise from his royal advisor so he chose instead to just collect the taxes due
his government and see to it that all the costs of keeping the government running were paid the rest
was placed within the royal vault for later use.

THE PRATIHARA EMPIRE OF KAUNAJ
Sachetan, Emporer of India
Effects: none
Sahmir ordered the expansion of the city of Raipur. He then ordered the building of some public
work projects within the lands of Anhivarta, Chela, Dahala and Pawar. He turned the job of ruling
the the empire over to his son, Sachetan. Wonderful thing too for Sahmir passed on in 1062.

THE KINGDOM OF MAGHADA

Effects: none
The kingdom continues to just exist. The advisor has to be on vacation for the nation to just be
sitting for so long now.

be a revolt.

The kingdom really needs to expand itself beyond it's current borders and into the surrounding
lands for it to become some more then just a minor stop between two larger nations as far as trading
ships are concerned.

THE LAND OF THE RISING SUN

Effects: none
The ruler has seen his 90th birthday in 1065. And everyone thought he was going to be a goner for
sure this time around.

THE EMPIRE OF JAPAN

The Empire of Japan continues to wait for it's advisor to awake and do something. Hopefully that
will be real soon or a new advisor will be needed to replace one currently there.

THE KINGDOM OF THE YANGTZE
Han Wonglang, King of Hupei
Effects: none
Han Wonglang ordered the expansion of the city of Chiangning. He then ordered the building of a
roadway from the city of Pienching across the bridge and into Kaifeng. With that he started to
rule over his kingdom. He welcomed his son in 1061 as his heir.
Map changes: A royal road now connects the city of Kaifeng in Hopei with the city of Pienching in
Honan.
OCEANIC
Polynesia and Australia
THE MOLUCCAS SEAHOLD
Taguma II
Effects: none
Taguma II ordered that a new city be built in Timor. So he had people loaded into ships and sailed
down to Timor to start the construction of the new port city overlooking the body of water called
the Flores Sea. Taguma II ruled over the nation all the while this new city was being built.
Map changes: A Type-One Port CIty called Kupang was founded in Timor facing the Flores Sea.
THE MAREE TRIBES
Nardu
Effects: none
Yarran ordered the expansion of the city of Nowra. He also ordered the building of some public work
projects with in the lands of Cooma. He started a rule that would last only two years. He passed
away in 1062 at the age of 82. Nalong son of Yarran gained the throne in the spring of 1063 only
to hold it until the fall of 1065 when he passed on heirless. The great leader, Nardu, forced his
way onto the throne and became the new leader of the Maree Tribe.

Effects: none
Kamut ruled over the nation for the next five years. The nation did very little beyond this. It was
saving it's workforce for something.

EZ ZIRID EMIRAT AL MAHIDYA
Hanno ad Dawla
Effects: none
Hanno ad Dawla ordered the expansion of the port city of Rusicade. He then ordered that a roadway be
built between the cities of Caralis and Malaca. The nation then fall under his rule for five years.
During that time period his grandson came of age and was crowned heir to the throne.
Map changes: Rusicade is now a Type-Two Port City. A royal road was built linking the port city of
Caralis in Cheliff to the port city of Malaca in Algeria.
AL FATIMID CALIPHAT AL QAIRA
(__KA88__), Caliph in Cairo
Effects: none
The nation continues to just sit and wait. It's ports see many different people, but the most keep
coming from the Oriental Roman Empire. Beyond that the government has been keeping everything
running. It sees no danger in the near futur of any kind from any quarter.

Western Africa
THE DIA KINGDOM OF SONGHAY
Regent of Songhay
Effects: none
Yandinde ordered the building of some public work projects in the land of Nupe and within the city
of Badiar. He also ordered the expansion of the city of Badiar. He then started to rule over the
kingdom to only pass away in 1062 from age. A regent was appointed by the government for the formerly
imprisonned royal family members. When the eldest son comes of age he shall be crowned ruler.

THE TWIFO-HEMAN NATION

Effects: none
The small nation continues to just sit and wait. If only it had an advisor to see it through a
period of growth the things this nation could do. All the land it could expand into without
bothering a neighboring nation is just about boundless.

THE MAKURIA KINGDOM OF NUBIA
Akensebek, King of Nubia
Effects: Axum (f), Djibuti (ea), Funj (f)
Akensebek stayed in the capital and ordered the expansion of the city of Shaat Sai. He also ordered
the finishin construction of public work projects within Zeila. He started to rule only to stop to
witness and be present for the crowning of his son as his heir. He then went on to finish a rule
that lasted for five years.
Harkhuf was sent orders to move himself back into the heart of the nation to Axum. His traveled there were easy going. Once in Axum he started talks with the leader of Axum. These talks continued until the very end of 1065 when Harkhuf witnessed the signing of a friendly treaty alliance.
Premessu was sent orders to move down into the Muslin lands of Djibuti. He started talks and was soon joined by a group of diplomats from the capital. Things after that moved fast. Between the two efforts an economic alliance treaty was signed in 1065, the highest until conversion to Coptic is made with the locals.
Kamephis was sent to Nubia across the steppes of Kassala into Funj. He had been sent there to talk with the locals to gain a new treaty over the current existing economic alliance. He stayed there for nearly five years and for all that effort he was pleased to witness the signing of a friendly treaty alliance.

Effects: none
Namodu just ruled over his jungle kingdom. He seemed to be waiting for something to occur.

THE MISSISSIPPIAN EMPIRE
Leaping Deer, The Great Turtle of the Snake
Effects: Saginaw (f)
Leaping Deer ordered the colonization of the wilderness land of Saginaw. He then ruled over the
empire as his grandson came of age and was granted the title of priest-prince to the throne.
Map changes: Saginaw has been colonized to a ( 1 / 9 ) North Amerind wilderness.
CALIFORNIA
Obsidian Coyote
Effects: Tipai (nt)
Golden Bear, regent for young Obsidian Coyote, ordered the expansion of the city of Berkeley
formerly Oakland. He aided the government by administering for his young charge. During the night
he had a vision from the spirits. When he was next in the throneroom he announced that the spirits
wished that the nation were called California. Idols for the spirits appeared in remote areas of
the nation.
Pima was sent down into Tipai to help re-estabish relations with this former section of the nation. He was there for just over twenty months when he witnessed the signing of a non-paying tribute treaty.

THE ANASAZI NATION

Effects: none
Kamchuka ruled over the nation as it gathered itself for greater things yet to be done.

THE TOLTEC HEGEMONY OF CHICHEN ITZA
Shadow Walker
Effects: none
Shadow Walker sent no orders out to any of the leaders outside of the homeland. He ordered the
expansion of the city of Copan and then the building of some public work projects within the
lands of Maya and Yucatec before ruling over the nation.
Map changes: Lenca is now a ( 2 / 6 ) cultivated MesoAmerind.
THE ARAWAK OF THE ISLANDS
Canom
Effects: none
Canom ordered the expansion of the cities of Havana and Port-au-Prince before ruling over his
island group. His son came of age in 1063.

THE CHIBCHAN KINGDOM
Lanric, King of the Chibchan
Effects: none
Lanric ordered the expansion of the cities of Bogota and Tunja. He also ordered the building of a
new city in Aburra called Monteria. His rule over the kingdom was still very strong.
Map changes: Bogota is now a Type-Two City. Tunja is now a Type-Two Port City. A Type-One City
called Monteria was founded in Aburra.
South America
THE KINGDOM OF PARAIBA
Panbi, King of Paraiba
Effects: none
Ibapan ordered the construction of a roadway between the cities of Tyr-Sog and Sulan-Qu. He went to
rest for awhile and then passed on in 1064. His son, Panbi, was crownd king in 1065
Map changes: A royal road now links the city of Tyr-Sog in Kraho to the city of Sulan-Qu in Piaul.
THE MIGHTY INCAN EMPIRE
Mayta Capac
Effects: none
Mayta Capac ordered the building of a ropadway from the city of Queros to the city of Curva. During
the construction of the roadway he ruled over the empire and even tried to start a family.
Map changes: A royal road was built connecting the city of Queros in Mashco to the city of Curva in
Tacana.
THE DUCHY OF SHOKLENG

Effects: none
Wani ruled over his nation for a period of five years before taking a day's rest.

THE MAPUCHE NATION
Graphite
Effects: none
Graphite ordered the completion of the roadway between the cities of Esquel and Madryn. He also had
ordered the construction of some public work projects within the cities of Bahia and Santiago and
the land of Oic. He then ruled over the nation for a period of five years.
Map changes: A royal road was built linking the city of Esquel in Poya to the port city of Madryn in
Guenakan.
