RULE MODIFICATIONS
Any cultivated region can be colonized to 2gp by spending 15gp and 15nfp per level.
Any or all of your support cost can be paid by nfp at 1nfp = 2gp
Recruitment A Merchant house, Open Nation, or Secret Empire may spend gp in 25gp blocks to attempt to get nfp for Megalithic Projects. Base amount is 1d6-1 for open nations and -2 for SEs. Note to SEs zero or less nfp result may get you exposed.
I am using the Lords 17 combat system.
Note that the Combat values for Warships are what they are worth in
land combat. For Naval combat they are as follows

Lords 11 Unit Conversion
Each point of cavalry and infantry represents 500 fighting men.
A warship or transport point = 1 ships with 500 men aboard each ship.
A siege point = 500 sappers or 5 ballista, catapults, siege engines, trebuchets or battle towers.
A field fort point = 1 fort manned by 500 men each.
A wall point = 10 feet of city wall ramparts.

Because I don't like "Magic" Numbers I am using percentages for basically all bonuses i.e. normally for every 5 ap extra spent on an action you get a +1. Now each ap is worth +0.20. So 5ap still gets you +1 but instead of 4ap being useless it has an 80% chance of getting you a +1. Same basic system is used for gp bonuses.

The Burmese Khmer War Part III - AKA The Dice Love Burma
The Naval engagement: Burma once again hired all the India and Indo-Chinese Mercs and sent the 2 leaders and all the ships plus a large group of Burmese ships off to Blockade Vinh. Once in the Gulf of Tonkin they were intercepted by the Khemer fleet. The Khemer seemed to have the advantage 81 ships to the Burmese 72 and much better quality but the Khemer admiral messed up and let the Burmese engage his fleet in parts. The result was a disaster close to 80% of the fleet lost. Both the Khemer admiral and the main Burmese admiral died in the fighting. The last of the Khemer fleet attempted to flee but couldn't get away. But they extracted a heavy price before going down. The entire Khemer navy was wiped out in one short afternoon. After all the prizes were added to it the Burmese Navy actually grew a little.
The Land Battles: Kwaa Chee took his army to Khemer via Laos reducing that province along the way. He then moved into Annam where the reacting Khemer army met him. Things did not look good for Kwaa Chee. While overall things seemed about even his slightly better command versus the Khemer being on friendly ground evened out. The fact that while he had about 150,000 men to the Khemer's 120,000 the entire Khemer force was cavalry with over 90,000 heavy cavalry and the other 30,000 regular cavalry. While he had only 60,000 cavalry not to mention his 40,000 siege engineers who weren't going to be worth much in open field combat. So Kwaa decided he needed to try something bold and daring to win the day. He personally took charge of all his cavalry and charged straight towards the Khemer command group. The Khemer were taken totally by surprise. Kwaa managed to kill the Khemer King and capture their other general. But it was costly more than a quarter of the army were casualties. Much to Kwaa's surprise the Khemer army held together trying to rescue the captured general who had always been popular. But the sub-commanders just weren't up to the job of leading the large Khemer force. After one short savage round the Khemer army routed from the field heading back to Nam Pung leaving close to 50% of the army behind dead. The Burmese had lost over 35% of the army dead. Kwaa then went on to passive siege Vinh which quickly surrendered to him.

Tehran was expanded. Tabiristan was recolonized to 2gp. Multan, Sukkur and Surashtra were all released from control.
Much alarm was raised when the Nutqak passed through. But since they weren't interested in stopping, Sa'id wasn't interested in bothering them. A severe drought reduced harvests throughout the country.
NUTQAK HORDE- Nomadic
Vachir
Vachir decided to pay the Mideast a visit so he headed down through the Buyid lands into Abbasid territory. Al Mutawakkil was waiting with everything he had when Vachir lead his troops through the passes into Diyala. Vachir was severely handicapped by the large number of troops he had and the terrain, but the sheer number of the horde took its toll. The first round both sides lost nearly 50,000 men but this was barely 10% of the horde it was almost 40% of the defenders. But they held hope that the Horde would break. The second round saw another 50,000 lost on each side but still the defenders held hope the horde would pull back but it didn't. The third round saw the last of the army ground under the hoofs of the horde and every leader captured. The horde the took Qanagin and moved on to take Hahmar, Al Hahzad, Iraq and Baghdad.

Kawan was expanded.
Kawan felt his time was short until he was called back to the spirit realm and he was worried. He knew he was the greatest Khan ever but would the spirits know? What to do? Then he had an idea. He would build a great temple for the spirits and organize many shamans to go out and spread the word of the Great Shaman. So plans to expand many of the cities in the empire were canceled and a great monument was built to the spirits in Kawan. He then saw to the organizing of the local shamans and the blessing of Kawan as a Holy City. He then sent his youngest son off to help out the new Servants of the Great Shaman. Kawan shortly afterward passed on to the spirit realm leaving his oldest son in charge of the realm.
In other news gold was discovered in Kyzl-Kum causing an increase in the city there and bringing miners from all over the realm to the region.

The Great Shaman was very pleased when he was told by the Nutqak that they would follow his teachings. When he heard of their plans to attack Abbasid he decided that he would head there and tell the people of the Spirits. So he headed to Diyala where the people were most receptive to his message and converted but the Muslim diehards attacked and killed the Great Shaman and his party as they were leaving to go to Hahmar. There was great sadness and anger over the death of the Great Shaman and many vowed that they would continue his work and spread his message.

Sicilian forces arrive in Castille. The Sicilian General Mohamar killed
by assassins. Battle commences 75,000 Sicilians versus 80,000 Castillians well dug
in in their Homeland. Attacking across the mountains into the level plains of Castille
with no cavalry the Sicilians stood no chance. In one short bloody afternoon the
entire army was destroyed. Karem standing with the last of his troops around him
realizing all was lost charged Juan's standard and managed to kill him before being killed
himself. Both countries then proceeded to DF. Every region and city in Castille
except Leon, Aragon, Armagnac, Lyonnais, Nice and Burgos revolted. Sicily had a
slightly better time of it. Ad'Diffah, Ajaccio, As Sidrah, Dalmatia, Epirus, Sharaf,
Lybia, Cagliari and Aleppo all rebelled.

The Hovsgol decided to go and settle in Poland. So off they went skirting around Levedia to the north and right into Lithuania. The Poles didn't stand a chance against the 700,000 man horde splat went the army. The Hovsgol then moved on to take Prussia, Kassubia and Kuyavia. The ally then went on to take Sorbia and Sandomir. Tribal points were settled in all the regions and many cultivation projects done and a Royal Road was built from Danzig to Kamisburg. The army was reduced to a manageable level of 200,000 men.

Preparations were made to give the Hovsgol a warm welcome if they came and visited. In Carinthia a man by the Name of Jan Huss began preaching about the need for a return of the church to the people. By the end of 1215 he had convinced most of the people of that area, but had so enraged the lords that they had him killed but not soon enough for his message was spreading.

Missionaries sent to Sardina and the Balerics failed miserably. Those sent to Corsica met with a little success. Matters were not helped by the Sicilians running around killing the missionaries whenever they could catch them.
Patricia lead a delegation to Antioch to try and talk the King of Aleppo into leaving the service of Sicily. She had just started in when news of the Death of Karem arrived and Asad decided he no longer would be in Sicily's service. So Patricia packed up and went home. Patricia got very lucky that news of Karem's death arrived before news of the Papal attack on Sicily.
