RULE MODIFICATIONS
Any cultivated region can be colonized to 2gp by spending 15gp and 15nfp per level

Any or all of your support cost can be paid by nfp at 1nfp = 2gp

Recruitment A Merchant house, Open Nation, or Secret Empire may spend gp in 25gp blocks to attempt to get nfp for Megalithic Projects. Base amount is 1d6 -1 for open nations and -2 for SEs. Note to SEs zero or less nfp result may get you exposed.

I am using the Lords 17 combat system.

Note that the Combat values for Warships are what they are worth in land combat. For Naval combat they are as follows:
HEW = 3, HW = 2, EW = 2.25, W = 1.5, XEW = 1.5, XW = 1
Troops on ships Elite Infantry any Type = 1.5
Regular Infantry any Type = 1
Inexperienced Infantry, All Cav, Siege, ART = 0.5

Lords 11 Unit Conversion
Each point of cavalry and infantry represents 500 fighting men.
A warship or transport point = 1 ships with 500 men aboard each ship.
A siege point = 500 sappers or 5 ballista, catapults, siege engines, trebuchets or battle towers.
A field fort point = 1 fort manned by 500 men each.
A wall point = 10 feet of city wall ramparts.

GM Notes

The investigate location action is normally only done with a leader but I will allow you to do it with intel but realize two things. They aren't very good at it and if you get a leader death result you will lose a point of Ops Capacity.

To ease the transition all of you have had your ISD raised a point and auto-rule is set but this won't last so get your houses in order

On turn 62 Your ISD's will be set to the correct levels
On turn 63 Auto Rule will be turned off
On turn 64 I will do a massive CCR check which I haven't been doing to allow you time to get your houses in order. All regions outside CCR will take multiple checks.

Because I don't like "Magic" Numbers I am using percentages for basically all bonuses i.e. normally for every 5 AP extra spent on an action you get a +1. Now each AP is worth +0.20. So 5 AP still gets you +1 but instead of 4 AP being useless it has an 80% chance of getting you a +1. Same basic system is used for GP bonuses.

Please check your city spacer codes and see if any are wrong. This will same me a lot of time since it needs to be checked and if I have to do all the countries it will take awhile

The Following cities all increased one level Yangchou, Nibai, Kaifeng, Changyuan, Loyang, Wuling, Wuhan, Hagen, Zhangniu, Wiawo, Wiangxou, Changan, Mucao, Tattung and Chiangling.
Lanchou was colonized to 2gp

Things were looking good and then the Nutqak decided to pay a visit. In mid 1196 word was received that the Nutqak had crossed the border and were headed this way. Luqe grabbed every available soldier and headed out to stop them. He got to Kansu just in time to bottle up the passes as the Nutqak were coming out of them. The stage was set for a VERY large battle close to 350,000 men under Luqe versus almost 550,000 men under Udabei. Luqe was outnumbered but had the advantages of defending the passes and his Elite Heavy Cavalry. Udabei had the benefit of numbers and better than twice the cavalry of Luqe.
The first round of combat is close about 75,000 men on each side are lost. Udabei's Gruvan ally is wounded but Ciao is captured from the Datang.
The second round is a dead heat with another 75,000 or so lost on both sides.
The third round proves decisive for Udabei as he is finally able to force the passes and managed to deploy his cavalry although at the cost of the wounding of Uzdrek and the loss of his Gurvan ally who had been fighting while wounded. Luqe was killed while trying to hold the center. Lo-Ping Ciao's replacement decided he couldn't hold with the Nutqak fully deployed and pulled back to Shensi. Both armies then paused to regroup and gather up stragglers.
At the start of 1198 Udabei headed out again after raiding Kansu he headed into Shensi. There another massive battle shaped up but this time the Da Tang were defending their Homeland and used their knowledge of the terrain to launched a surprise flank attack the killed over 100,000 of Nutqak. This almost broke the Nutqak but Udabei held them together.
The next round of combat was more even and saw roughly even losses on both sides but saw Udabei of the Nutqak and Lo-Ping and Shen of the Da Tang killed. While the loss of Udabei seemed to enrage the Nutqak. The loss of Lo-Ping and Shen took the heart out of the Da-Tang and they pulled back into the city of Chang'An. Both armies then paused to regroup.
The Nutqak then went on to raid Shensi and the adjoining regions including destroying all the Buddhist shrines before pulling back out to Yumen. Total losses were over 200,000 dead for the Nutqak and almost 150,000 for the Da Tang. Many refugees arrived in the provinces bordering the ones the Nutqak raided. All the provinces raided by the nutqak will need much work before they will produce anything again.

Then to top it all off there was flooding in Yen that destroyed some dikes and wiped out several farms.

Kawan headed into Khurasan and enslaved the population and looted the place gutting Nishapur in the process he then raided Tabiristan and Gurgan before heading off to Soghida to try his luck there. In Soghida he met Khusun the ally of Khalistan with 100,000 troops. Unfortunately for Khusun and his troops he didn't have a clue this idiot didn't even know what sword was for. So Kwan and his 270,000 men rolled right over them losing a few thousand and destroying the entire Khalistani force. Kawan then looted and enslaved the province and gutted Samarkhand. He then moved on to clean out Khokand and Karatou before he moved through Argu, where he got some new members for his horde, Karluk and ending up in Tarhain where he picked up yet more members.
Kwan's wife delivered another set of twin sons in 1196 before dieing in childbirth in 1199

The Hovsgol headed into Henyitin looking for more members and found a new ally. They then headed into Khrebet and found yet more allies. They then headed off to Telmen raiding all the steppe areas across the mountains as they went. They then headed into Buryat whose tribes men fully joined the Horde. Then they raided Yenesey and then down to Tanu whose tribes men fully joined the Horde. They then went to Beshbalik whose tribes men joined the Horde. They then raided the adjacent steppe and desert regions. Next it was off to Tabargati whose tribes men joined the Horde and joined in the raids on the adjacent steppe regions. Then it was off to Ili
who tribesmen also joined the swelling Horde and a final raid. The Hovsgol are at rest in Ili with over 600,000 men.

THE KRITIC EXARCHATE OF GREECE

Justinian decided that if he couldn't have Constantinople by peaceful means he would just go and take it. So he sent Zemarchos off with 23,000 men to attack. So Zemarchos took his men and headed over the Thrace border right into the dug in Constantinople army numbering 15,000 men.
The first round was a draw with about 5,000 casualties on both sides.
The second round Zemarchos decided for a head long assault on the center of the Constantinople line and when it held his flanks were wide open for the Constantinople's counter attack in which Zemarchos was wounded. The Greeks morale failed and they retreated back to Thrace to regroup. Total confirmed dead were about 6,000 Greek and about 2,000 Constantinoplese.
The Fleet Justinain had sent to help besiege the city instead harassed the shipping of the Constantinople for the rest of the turn.
In other news Missionaries sent into Phaphalagonia were slaughtered in droves by unruly peasants.
On the Brighter side Justinian had a son in 1197 and a daughter in 1199.

Running Bear continued his evacuation of the Creeks to their new homeland. Not all wanted him to succeed an assassin came close but killed a trusted officer instead of running bear and the troops came close to mutiny but Running Bear calmed them down and proceeded. First he sent Swift Raven off to gather up the people from Cheraw fortunately the Ciboney and Maya seemed uninterested and he was able to gather up the people and head back to Kaskinapo to meet up with
Running Bear who had raided Yamasee before heading into Shawnee to pick up the residents of Naicomis before raiding Erie and heading to Kaskinapo to meet Swift Raven. Then he launched raids on Tunica and Chikasaw. He then headed into Quapaw and raided it before moving on. He headed out onto the plains where he finally stopped in Teton to settle some of his people and build a city near the mines. He then headed up to Manitoba dropping settlers in Atsina and Plains Cree. Manitoba was cultivated and settled as the new homeland of the Creek Minnedosa was built as the new capital he then sent leaders out to settle Cree, Cheraweya, Sasketchewan, Attine, Echaottine and Kwadcha with another city in Cheraweya. The Creek had a new home and
hopefully they would be left in peace.

More missionary work was conducted in Aburra the Nobility is listening but the peasants just don't care. A port fortress was built next to Chanchan in Moche and the city was expanded to surround it.
