New Stat Sheet Features: With the coming of the Version
5.5 Revisions, I have been at work updating the stat sheet program:
Homeland Income: The regional Gold Point
income of your homeland has been doubled. This is regional GPv only,
not the PWB.
Road and Port Spacer Code: I have added
'*' as the spacer code for those cities which are both road cities and
port cities (The 5.5 Rulebook states that the spacer code is a '+').
Road Count: This is now an automated
feature which counts all road cities (r), road and port cities (*) and
inland capitals (c).
Road Income Formula: The Road Income formula
is now = (Road Count)2/2.
World Maps: These will be available on demand for anyone this turn for $5.00. If you just want the Old World, the cost will be $3.50 and the New World is $1.50 by themselves. They will be updated and corrected to the latest turn published.
Color Maps: I can now do hemispheric color maps as of Turn 48 onward. These are $3.00 each and must be mailed.
Cultivated Regions: All cultivated regions can be colonized to 2 Gpv. If you can somehow get a region intensely cultivated, you can then colonize it to 3 Gpv.
Diplomacy Results: (ne)=no effect.
Religion Action - Convert Pagan Chief (cpc): You can convert a neutral heathen region to your religion instead of having to resort to all those MW's. If your world religion (Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hindu) can convert a pagan chief, the region will automatically follow.
Church & Mercantile NFP less: I have drastically reduced the amount of NFP a Religious Primate can get from his cathedrals. The same goes for Mercantile Combines.
Merc Pools: All areas of the world have available for hire as mercenaries, 20i, 10c, 10w. Minimum bid is .5 GP per unit. Mercenaries assume the QR of your nation.

THE KHMER EMPIRE
Kaundinya, Emperor of Khmer
To appease the unhappy Brahmin class, a great temple
complex was built near Angkor. It was a smacking masterpiece.
Despite it all (and for paying back the loan), Kaundinya was accursed and
when he died in 1135, his funeral was uncelebrated. Nataraja, the
new king found no woman to his liking (officially).
MAP: Vinh, Vijaya, Ankor (maxed at 15), Bharmali
(maxed at 10) & Da Nang grew as cities. The Temple of the Eternal
Cycle was a great landmark at Khmer.

Shali Katar visited Palawan where everyone had a
rotten disposition. Somehow, by building a city and marrying
the meanest girl on the island, he charmed them to becoming friendly AND
Mahayana Buddhist. While the God-Boss was out, some money became
missing. The Board of Accountants are sweating bullets expecting
a bloody purge.

THE KINGDOM OF BURMA
Ronen, King of Burma
DIPLOMACY: Korat(ne)
The Sagaing paid for their hostile acts of piracy
against Burma and for all those intolerable insults. The king led
the great army against them and smashed them like little bugs under rollers.
Once pacified, the heathens were subjected to a miltary conversion.
The other subject heathens objected: Kayah and Korat rebelled. Kayah
persecuted its Buddhists.
MAP: Rangoon & Myanmar each got larger populations.
A royal road connects Assam to Gtsang. Sagaing was 'officially' Therevada
Buddhist.
THE COLA MANDALAM
His Magnificence, Cola Gunamuditya II, Maharaja of Bharat
Two leaders were sent to the Ganges basin to investigate
occurances of 'thuggery'. Nothing unusual could be found of a suspicious
nature that could be considered credible for the purposes of thwarting
organized sedition. But- the investigation was ongoing.

through Kalinga, Vengi to Madurai and also from Sri Lanka to Seylon.
THE HIDDEN KINGDOM OF PUNJAB

which irritated the washer women. Gauhal was still young when he
croaked. His son, Kulikar, easily mounted the Peacock Throne.
Persia
THE DOLKARI KHANAT (Zolyang Horde)
Dolkar Khan
The Zolyang Horde of 102,000 badly washed men vowed
to conquer the Samanid land and colonized Soghdia to demonstrate their
intension of not leaving. They also converted to Sunni Islam.
Dolkar and his storm-riders attacked Bactria, defended by 10 turrets, 750
war wagons, 100 catapults, 10,000 horse-archers and 16,000 levies.
After a bloody battle, the Samanid force was destroyed. In the midst
of battle, the Samanid Emir Ali and Dolkar were captured by the enemy.
A parlay was held and the kings were exchanged - and then battle resumed.
Bukhara and its 50 foot stone ramparts proved to be a different challenge.
Dolkar was unable to get close to breaching the barrior and lost 25,000
men attempting to do so. With 57,000 mounted warriors left, he fled
the siege and the region to be content with just Soghdia.
THE GREAT TAVOK HORDE (Cherkassy, Xi Xia, Tangut,
Jark)
Layaidu, Khagan of the Steppe Peoples

a new ally in Turgay. Layaidu told stories to any who dared enter
his tent about the 'glory days'.
THE SAMANID EMIRAT OF BUKHARA
Ali ebn-Sinjar, Emir of Bukhara
Ali survived the Zolyang challenge because of his
ancestors' wise policy of fortifying the land with walled cities and citadels.
But confidence in the Samanids to protect the land waned: Uzbek, Zabulistan,
Ghur and Afghanistan rebelled. Khwarzim & Bogazgol became isolated
(like they always are).

'Arif Al Muktafi II, Kalifat Rasul Allah, Commander of the Faithful
The Caliph helped out the heretical Karimids to
take out the even more heretical Zaidi in the perfume producing quarter
of Arabia. Vizier Fouad and 30 light galleys rowed around Arabia
to blockade the Bab-al-Mandab. A force of 15,000 infantry, 10,000
mercenaries and 5000 mamluke cavalry scampered across the Arabian desert
to assist the Syrians. It seems they weren't needed.
MAP: Armenia is cultivated. Hahmar has been
linked by Caliphal Road to Iraq.
THE KARIMID SULTANATE OF ALEPPO
Baruod ad Din Faruk, Sultan of Aleppo
Ab'ul Ziha waited to be reinforced by Lord Wawi
who had dragged fresh troops all the way from cozy Antioch. In 1032,
the campaign began anew, but it seemed like a let down after the exciting
events of last turn. The 20,500 knights, 25 trebuchets and 24,500
swordsmen moved into Asir and occupied the land without opposition.
They then entered Yemen itself. The capital, Sanaa, surrendered immediately
the Zaidi royal family (no walls). It was too easy. The Baghdad
troops and the navy (stuck on the Med coast of Sinai) felt cheated for
lack of action. When Ab'ul Ziha decided to become his own king, he
was quickly dispatched by Wawi's poison knife. The Yemen treasure
of scrolls and dinars were sent back to the capital.
THE ZAIDI EMIRAT OF DANAKIL

had other plans. He married a 29 year old spinster from Fez.

DIPLOMACY: Jutland(c), Holstein(a)
The Magyar war against the Cianovians took a strange,
unexpected twist when King Emeric ordered the construction of a navy in
1031. It still wasn't impressive: only 12 primative longships.
He had to hire 10 merc warships to make the fleet look nice. With
also 3 cogs and some marines on board, Garrod (the not-at-all crusty sea
captain, this guy is a real land lubber) sailed acoss the North Sea and
slave raided Northumbria. He then went after Anglia and Sussex but
both were protected by now alert coastal patrols so these efforts were
aborted. He returned home to report success on his mission.
