THE DA TANG EMPIRE
Terwi, "Gi Zong", 31st Tang Ruler, Emperor of the Middle Kingdom
DIPLOMACY: Turfan(nt)
The Empire had no trouble dealing with Your Rebellion. To demonstrate the majesty of Tang power, other nations were called in to 'co-operate'. The Foi Southerners occupied Chiennan with 5000 cavalry, 30,000 infantry and tied blue ribbons where they went. The Cambodians took over Tokin with 20,000 knights, 20,000 javelineers and 50 catapults. The Burmese overran Kweichou with 4500 cavalry and 61,000 infantry. The Crown Prince, Xang Neng, fresh out of war college had 75,000 infantry, 62,500 cavalry and 300 catapults. They took back Lanchou and confronted the evil Zhi zun and his devilspawn force of 12,000 cavalry, 21,500 infantry and 25 cat tossing machines. These were all swept aside with a minimum of casualties. Xang Neng then marched south taking back Tungchuan, Kweichou and Chiennan telling the vassal armies that they were allowed to leave. Once he made it to Tonkin, he was assassinated. The Khmers denied they did it and left the region so it could be pacified by the now leaderless army. Chiangling-Hsiang Postal Strip 'G' was upgraded to Imperial Road 'V'.

THE KINGDOM OF YOU
Zhi Zun was oblivious to the threat; intoxicated with cheese, he was. Chengdu, Mucao and Yongan expanded to 5 Gpv. Jer got up to 2 Gpv. All region except for Szechwan have been taken over by the Tang.

THE SERENE PALACE OF THE GREATER WHEEL
Pin, Bodhisattva of Chan Mahayana
CONSECRATION: Linan(ab), Chekiang(ab), Wiangxou(ab), Sanfongshan(ab), Changan(ca), Hopei(ab), Tangchou(ab), Hsiang(ab)
The monks found their new Buddha in Fuchien. The fat baby (they're always fat, that's how you can tell the Buddha dwells within) was called Pin by its natural parents. The monks gave the parents prayers and jade statues and took the baby back to Chiangling. Since the Tang crackdown on cheese-tong crime, it became easier to build shrines. The Tang let the Wheel have political control of Chiangling and sent some rice cakes to keep the citizens fed.

FOI GUO

DIPLOMACY: none

THE KHMER EMPIRE
Rudravarman, Emperor of Khmer
DIPLOMACY: none
General Govatsa moved the main army into Tonkin to secure the land for the Tang Empire (even though it had been part of the Khmer Empire in the past). Crown Prince Harshavarman blockaded Mucao with 50 warships. Everyone withdrew back to Annam once the big bad Tang armies arrived. Harshavarman died of stroke. The Rightful Heir, Kaundinya, came of age. His relationship with his father was cold. Vishmala got her wish and was relieved of duty. She departed the country to marry a Tang Duke in Liangche. She too didn't like her daddy much.

THE COMMERCIAL ENTERPRISE OF SRIVIJAYA
Sri Suryanarayana III, CEO of Srivijaya, Inc.
DIPLOMACY: none
The Srivijayans got wind of an ongoing, bitter war in the western lands. Even though he had no real reason to, Sri Suryanarayana took the Karimids' side and sent great treasure of 100 talents (Burma donated half) to the Syrians by way of the Baghdad Caliphat. The CEO himself risked his neck and the well being of his Enterprise by going himself along with 74 warships and 4 transports. He was later joined by Yaralima who had loaded some 42,000 Burmese troops on 44 cargo boats (plus an additional 16 warships from the Irriwaddy River) at the Gulf of Mannar. All headed by way of the wet stuff to the Bab al Mandab, where Arabia touches the Dark Continent. They waited around while the Burmese unloaded into Danakil sacked a little city and divvied up the loot with Suryanarayana. The sailors grumbled that the Zaidi weren't that rich - The Srivijayan share was only 7 talents. All came home safely but Yaralima had to take a side trip to Vanga to repatriate the Burmese.
Avish while he was alive militarily converted Bengkulu to Big Wheel Buddhism. Atjeh and Medan rebelled to show solidarity with their oppressed heathen siblings. Coli Hindu immigrants moved into Pholay at Sri Lanka, causing the outpost city to grow to 2 Gpv.

THE KINGDOM OF BURMA
Ronen, King of Burma
DIPLOMACY: none
Somehow the Srivijyans bullied the Burmese into sending half their army on a 'glorious' looting expedition. The Burmese also sent cash along to the Island Empire to ultimately help out the UNenlightened Karimids. Ajimon returned home with a small pile of treasure (mostly pillows) and a frown on his face. His troops were irritated. Burma also participated in the Tang Civil War, a terrible war that has turned China into a warzone. The king's army entered and held Kweichou until the Tang army came along. Once they did, Malachar got them back home and died.
The Hindu Cola placed a colony in Rangoon expanding the port city for Burma to 3 Gpv. Mayanmar also got to 3 Gpv. Mawlanyine became 2 Gpv. Ava and Myanmar were connected by royal road. Batelos, the regent, was a bad missionary.

DIPLOMACY: Gujarat(f)
Runjiba was given 5500 cavalry and 10.500 infantry to play around with in Jhelum. He was supposed to intercept the warring Turan. Turan did make an appearance with 6000 mountaineers but they were destroyed. Runjiba only lost 2000. Khiragu in Kashmir grew to 4 Gpv, but there was no diplomat sent to brag about Lahorian generosity. IN 1109, Chatjina died. There was a succession crisis for Gauhal was too young and other families really wanted some power for they perceived Muslim influence from Baghdad at work. Among them, Runjiba revolted and became his own king. Jaunpur, Kashmir and Sursuti rebelled. Yarkhand, Jhelum and Pathan followed Runjiba in his rebellion. Everything else stayed loyal. Some gold had been sent up the silk road to China.

THE ABBASID CALIPHAT (Dar al Islam)
Ar Rahid II, Kalifat Rasul Allah, Commander of the Faithful
DIPLOMACY: none
The Kalifat guarded their cities in case those great hordes came down to wreck them and their plum trees. Dulaym became cultivated. The sack of Jerusalem by the Tavok has angered Muslims everywhere. The faithful want decisive action against these mangy barbarians.

THE KARIMID SULTANATE OF ALEPPO
Hasan ibn Uthman, Sultan of Aleppo
DIPLOMACY: none
The Karimids sent most of their troops up the River Nile under the old Sultan's command. These troops were 18,000 cavalry, 9500 infantry and 20 warships supporting. They attacked and militarily converted Napata, but losses were heavy = 6500 infantry. After leaving a heavy garrison in Napata, the rest attacked Nubia itself and laid active siege to the capital of Dongola with only 12,000 cavalry, 3000 infantry and the 20 warships. The Nubians had 75 rock launchers and 50 foot ancient stone mortared walls to defend Dongola. The Nubians were defending and were at home - - the Karimids were hopelessly outmatched. All of the Syrian troops died as well as General Bisn. Sultan Uthman escaped with 18 warships to Misr.
While the Sultan was mucking around with the Negroes of the Upper Nile, 235,000 Tavok, Ilhandi, Tavarhod, Damchog and Haszi rode south to Jerusalem, assaulted, sacked the holy city and riled up the believers of three world religions. Tripoli in Lebanon was next and then all the folks in Lebanon were enslaved. They fought extra hard but to no avail. The slaves plus the hordes entered the hills of Aleppo and assaulted Antioch and broke in. The vizier was killed and the government and university were trashed. Antioch was sacked and the Tavok and their allies and prisoners moved on north through Cilicia, Psidia, Galatia to Paphlagonia. The loss of troops and the weakening of the bureaucracy contributed to the loss of Faiyum and Thebes. Uthman died in Kalisma. His son, Hasan became the new ruler.

THE ZAIDI EMIRAT OF DANAKIL
Suleiman, Guardian of the Mandab Straits
DIPLOMACY: Petra(n), Aswan(ne)
The Zaidi guarded their Arabian frontier in stages against the Syrians and the A'ir. They weren't a problem. In 1008, some 42,000 Burmese jumped from Malaysian ships at the Bab-al-Mandab. They occupied Danakil for a spell while they assaulted Barim's citadel. Once it fell, Barim was sacked and burned. Refugees went to Sanaa where Suleiman's government sheltered them.

THE DAYLAM PIRATES
Ibrahim was killed by Greeks. Rafati simply could not stop them. Rafati continued the pirate plan. He had Pellas sacked and then shoved the fleet from Thrace to sail the Black Sea. He and his 31 warships and 28 transport were unable to evade 72 Greek warships. The Daylami were all sunk or captured.

Layaidu, Khagan of the Steppe Peoples
DIPLOMACY: none
The Great Khan evaded his expected assassin. There was some trouble in the ranks. 33,000 of the main horde deserted. There was also unrest in the Ilhand and Tavarhod hosts. Fortunately, the allied khans were loyal to him and made sure the men would fight as hard as expected. The Tavok went to Petra to see if the A'ir was willing to fight. But these Berbers were wusses and would not come out of Sinai. The Tavok went after Jerusalem and sacked the holy city. They then sacked Tripoli and depopulated Lebanon. The populace of Lebanon were taken prisoner. Finally Antioch was assaulted and sacked. The many hordes went thorugh wilderness and ended up in Pontus.

She kept the whole empire together during its dark days of dyanstic strife. With her gone, all the princes thought they would make sporting kings. Nzekwu had a step up on them and stomp their butts. He threw them out of Ibo if they refused to be liquidated. The regent and the general both objected to the new king's harsh ways so they were thrown to the Niger crocs. THE OSTIG KINGDOM OF SWEDEN
Sigtryg the Slow, Fire in the North, Sword of the True Church
DIPLOMACY: Zealand(ne!)
Sigtryg and an army of 2500 cavalry, 28,000 bondi warriors and 20 catapults took five months in 1106 to cross the ferry point from Skane to Zealand. Once they did they tried to dissaude Zealand from being friendly to the Danes (fat chance without a successful CU). Because nothing happened, Zealand was conquered and its city Helsingor was captured in an assault. The Slow King considered an attack into Jutland but 95,000 Magyar knights were there, being rude.

THE MAGYARORSZAGH KINGDOM OF HUNGARY
Igor Arpad, King of Hungary and Germany
DIPLOMACY: Ludgorie(a), Austria(a)
Igor was not a warrior but he could build a few cities. He built Mohocs in Podravina and Lorrach in Swabia (Lorrach faces the Rhine River). General Tarech guarded the country and bits of Denmark too. When the Swedes attacked Zealand in 1107, he rushed to Jutland to keep the Danish capital of Alborg safe. However, Alborg had been taken over by a pro-Matriarch regime soon after Ian Iansson was killed in England. Tarech wouldn't take that sorry situation. He stormed Alborg and pacified Jutalnd to keep the Swedes out.

THE KINGDOM OF DENMARK
Ian Iansson was quickly excommunicated. That move by Mader Etain had a great effect. Half of Ian's army in Sussex deserted him. The other half stuck around to string him up. They went to Anglia and became English mercenaries in the service of the new king of Connachta. At Alborg, a pro-Cianodh king took over and expressed an interest in uniting with Sweden. The Magyars wouldn't have that. 55,000 cavalry troops invaded Jutland and occupied Alborg. Zealand was taken by Sweden. Friesland, Holstein and Saxony became independent.

THE HOLY KINGDOM OF BHEATHAAMROIS
Magna Mater Etain Rapturous, Sister of Mary, Protector of the Innocent, Blessed of the Divine Light of Christ, Beloved of God in All His Glory
CONSECRATION: Highlands(mn)
"Due to grievous acts against his people and his Mother Church is henceforth excommunicated from the Holy Church. Let this be a lesson to those who would cause the Mother Church injury. Let the Danish people be wise in their choice of a new ruler that they may grow strong and prosperous.... And let the false Pope in his incarceration think long and hard on matter of true faith...."
And so the Danes overthrew their pro-Aachen king and their whole country fell into turmoil. Etain did her part to keep everyone alive.

THE SAXON KINGDOM OF GREAT ER CONNACHTA
Luidred, King of Saxons and Eiru
DIPLOMACY: none
The English scrambled to drive the Epop army from Sussex. Bleys and 3000 cavalry, 13,000 infantry attacked 10,000 cavalry and 5000 infantry that held out in Sussex. The Danes had already left due to unrest within their ranks (They would eventually but not right away join the true side). Bleys was wounded in battle so he withdrew with the survivors to Wessex. The Germans reinforced themselves the following year and in the spring of 1108, 8500 heretic knights, 10,000 flagellants and 40 ballistae rolled into Wessex to square off against King Lenolem, 10 towers, 3000 Saxon lancers and 9500 pole-arms. The English forces were jsut simply overwhelmed. Cardinal Winston was killed. King Lenolem withdrew to Portsmouth (20 foot walls) with a wounded Bleys. The Epop army, now down to 25 ballistae and 8500 horsemen) called on their 30 warships to help in the assault. The city fell in two days. Lenolem was captured and executed. Bleys killed himself. The Wessex Kingdom fell. Ile de France, Brabant and Ponthieu were lost. Luidred, an uncle of Lenolme, took up residence in Galway. From there, he formed a new Saxon Kingdom consisting of Connaught and Munster in Ireland plus Anglia, Cornwall, Dyffed, Gwynned, Lancaster, Lothian, Mercia and Northumbria on Britian.

THE GERMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH
Michael V, Bishop of Aix-La-Chapelle, Pope of the Catholic Church
DIPLOMACY: none
Using grace and prayer (plus an iron rod and a couple rocks), Michael V escaped the evil clutches of the Wessex dogs and rejoined the good army in Sussex. Kraft had successfully held Sussex against the schismatics. Now Legate Rodden with the ships reinforced the holy army with fresh acolytes. They marched against Wessex's homeland even though the Danes had fallen. The holy army defeated what was left of the Wessex army and then captured Portsmouth. With no reliable kingdom nearby, the Vicarate kept control of the conquered lands of Sussex and Wessex. The army had fallen to 2500 men (not including the heavy Wessex garrison) so the Pope called off the attack on Cornwall. Some gold was sent to the Magyars.

The Burgundians were eventually victorious but Heinric was wounded and had to stay behind. Now with 6000 infantry and 2500 chevaliers, the Burgundians exacted tribute from Brabant (lucky). After allowing the Flemish to have their liberty, the army tried to plaster Ponthieu. The Burgundians were hopelessly outnumbered by the local militia.
