ARRAN EMIRAT
Sabim Abm Bela'ad, Governor of the Roughlands
DIPLOMACY: none
Sabim decided to interfere in the internal affairs of silly Christians by sending a fleet into the Aegean to wreak havoc. By 1102, 31 warships and 18 transports were loaded with 16,500 infantry and 7500 Daylami mercenaries who couldn't sing worth a bucket of lint. These sailed across the Black Sea to the Dardinelles and into the Aegean. They circled Crete but found that coast to be too well protected by 67 warships. The Arran flotilla took their chances raiding Lydia first then Macedon in 1103. No problem. No Greek resistance. The expedition got a little more bold now and landed on Thrace and exacted tribute. The city there (Pelles) was captured along with its merchant fleets. It was now the winter of 1105. Prince Ibrahim as Sama and Rafati brought their grizzled heads together and declared themselves to be pirate. Hosman was tossed overboard.
The regionals were anxious for twice great Hordes have used their lands as avenues and resting stops and tinkle grounds (Tavok 1102, Black Horde 1101 and 1105). The Tavok rumbled into Karimid territory in the fall of 1103.

THE GHUZZ TURKS
Al Aqshairu Sumna lacked the provisions to feed all his troops. Indeed the majority would have to starve. This led to an uprising where Sumna was skinned and his possessions were picked over lean by the skinny troops. The Ghuzz splintered into small bands joining mutionous Tavok tribes to repopulate the Turkic steppe.

THE KARIMID SULTANATE OF ALEPPO
Uthman ibn Sirdar, Sultan of Aleppo
DIPLOMACY: Faiyum(c), Sinai(c), Petra(t)
Uthman came of his palace to confront these pesky Zaidi himself. He took Falchid's army in Thebes and used the 21,000 cavalry and 5500 infantry to crush the lousy Ghebal Gharib. After that desert was pacified, Uthman got reinforced at Kalisma. At that time, 15,000 Yemeni camel-riders snuck through Petra and looted Palestine. In retaliation, Uthman with 18,000 cavalry plus 10,000 gurgling mercenaries marched on Mecca. They didn't have the time to loot Hijaz and time was short any way so they tried to raid Madina. 21,500 Yemeni troops stopped them. Uthman raced back to Petra by the end of 1105. Alumit was injured in Egypt by a tourist. Big bad news came in the form of the Tavok Horde, 1103. They raided Raqqah and Aleppo and sacked Damascus. More big bad news further north too. The Black Horde raided Paphlagonia, Galatia and then sacked glittering Ankara. Paphlagonia rebelled. Big good news may be on the way, the A'ir host who had terroized Nubia moved to Sinai.

DIPLOMACY: none
The Black Horde gave up smashing Levedia. They took their traveling horse show to Asia Minor. Mulsim or Chirtian it mattered not. Qaputeg wanted their stuff. In 1102 the raids began: Paphlagonia, Bithnia and Lydia were depleted many wares. Undefended, the Greek city of Ephesus was sacked. Then the Karakhanids toured inland to soak Galatia and sack the Karimid's golden city of Ankara. Delayed by all the city dusting, the Black Horde wintered in the wilderness of Georgia in 1105.

THE GREAT TAVOK HORDE (Cherkassy, Xi Xia, Tangut, Jark)
Layaidu, Khagan of the Steppe Peoples
DIPLOMACY: none
The Big Boss Cherkassy-Tangut Horde (as of 1101, nerdy counters have tabulated about 229,500 Tavoki, 50,000 Ilhandi, 12,000 Damchog, 14,000 Haszi and 36,000 Tavorhod) took a hoof in the intregues of the Arab World. They drove themselves through Samanid owned Bogazgol destroying all the porta potties and breaking all the linoleum. Then, they trampled over all the good parks in Arran territories. Finally in 1102, they crossed the dangerous mountains of Kurdistan where giant dogs lurk. 16,500 of the horde was lost from rocksides, cliff falls and by being licked. That wasn't all - Kurdish agitiators with noisemakers filtered through the Tavok ranks screaming about ghosts. 55,000 were scared and deserted. An Arab assassin wearing the Caliph's Best Bud pin tried to off Layaidu. Layaidu survived with the help of his golden saddlebag. Later Layaidu got real angry with this bad experience and took it out on Arbiliq. The land was raided and the Abbasid city of Al Mustad was sacked. Layaidu would not be distracted from his true porpoise - to knock down the growing Karimid Sponge Empire.
The Karimids weren't paying attention. Their focus was on the crazy men who lived in the south. The Syrians posted no armies in their homeland of Aleppo. So easily was Raqqah looted. So easy was it for Aleppo itself to be plundered. The plan to enslave all the population of Aleppo would not work so long as Antioch was uncpatured and since Antioch was too well defended with 50 foot ramparts, the idea was out of the question. So in 1104, the Tavok, their allies and toady camp followers rode on to Syria, assaulted then sacked the ancient city of Damascus. No losses were suffered.

Once Ian Iansson arrived there, the Pope announced that his troops will confront the English in Sussex because the Danish cannot be trusted. So the Pope and his forces landed in Sussex and pacified it themselves - but Micheal V was captured (The Tick was killed in the battle). Friesland rebelled at once.
