They were replaced there by the Balikh Tribe who detached from the horde when their khan died. The Xi Xia moved on to the Silk Road and absorbed the Roitates of Yümen and got the Tavarhod to ride with them. During the years 1099-1100, 341,500 horsemen entered and crossed the fortified land of the Samanids. They rarely stopped for water and pasture and eventually ended up in Kulsary by the Khazar Sea.

THE KINGDOM OF BURMA
Malachar, King of Burma
DIPLOMACY: none
King Malachar found common ground with the Cola Empire. He agreed to assist the Mandalam in their war against Jantayuga. With 56,000 spearmen, 100 catapults and 4000 horsemen, General Ajemon marched to Kamarupa to rendezvous with the Cola commander Ammugi. They attacked Maghada, Tirhut, Bihar and Jihjhoti. When realizing that they were not rejoining Cola, the Burmese pacified the regions themselves. Ajemon promised that he would pass control to Cola once Cola armies arrived to relieve the Burmese garrisons. A new city was built in Gtsang called Imphal.

His Magnificence, Chola Gunamudita II, Maharaja of Bharat
DIPLOMACY: none
The Cola army of 116,500 cavalry, 9000 infantry and 500 ballistae liberated Kalinga and then occupied rebel Orissa plus the Jantayuga capital, Konorak, without a struggle. After that the remaining lands of Nadavaria, Chela, Kakitiya and Dahala were regained by general Vahlamata while the Burmese pacified the Lower Ganges regions.

THE KINGDOM OF THE JANTAYUGA
The rebellion didn't do much. They folded when armies marched against them. The navy was taken out by an equal number of Srivijayan warships - half were sunk - half were captured.

THE HIDDEN KINGDOM OF PUNJAB
Chatjina, Hidden King of Lahore
DIPLOMACY: Kashmir(fa), Kuru(f)
The Punjab arranged to send some aid to the struggling Nubians but while the chests awaited at the Somanatha port, a gang of thieves overpowered the longshoremen and made off with the treasure. Mitashk with some fighting men returned to Afghanistan to slave raid. The Afghans were ready for this and attacked the Punjab force. Maybe the Afghans weren't ready for they were utterly defeated so their children were put to chains. The Turani put up a bitter fight. They wounded Mitashk and forced the slaver army to flee the mountains. The Afghani captives were then taken by the Turani. A state of war now exists between Turan and the Punjab. With none of the slaves obtained, the Lahore Agra road was incomplete.

THE KARIMID SULTANATE OF ALEPPO
Uthman ibn Sirdar, Sultan of Aleppo
DIPLOMACY: Palmyra(a)
Having taken Egypt, the Syrians proceeded to the next part of the plan: The destruction of Nubia. To this end, the A'ir nomads were recruited. They recieved their payment as they passed through Thebes. For his own effort, he gave his famous general Falchid all the troops: 21,000 cavalry, 5500 infantry plus 15 warships. Falchid would directly attack Nubia and its capital Dongola. But when Falchid crossed the Nile from Faras into Nubia, he was shot down by two arrows: one to his right chest and one to his left eye. He died instantly. The army withdrew to Thebes in disarray.
There was no one handy now to stop the persistent Yemeni raids. The sea dogs raided Misr, Sinai and Petra and caused the latter two to rebel. Ghebel Gharib switched sides. Faiyum revolted too. Uthman lamented Falchid's death. Who can be trusted to pursue the war? In other news, Palmyra became cultivated.

THE BLACK HORDE (Karakhanids)
Qaputeg, Khan of Kara-Khan, Yabghu of the Western Horde
DIPLOMACY: Atob Turks(a, later destroyed)
The Black Horde finally made their move to the west. It was the land of the Pechnegs who have become so settled they have almost become civilized themselves. On the way to Levedia, the Karakhanids were joined by the Atob Turks at Emba. The whole host crossed into Donets then Levedia and attempted to riad this homeland. The Pechnegs though they numbered 35,000 were enough to protect their crops. The 100,500 hordesmen then moved against Taganov itself. It was unwalled, you see. The Pechnegs chose to fight to the death then inside the city itself. Having to fight in the close quarters of Taganov, the Black Horde was repulsed by the Pechnegs and the citizens of Taganov. With 75,500 riders left, the Black Horde (without the Atob who were wiped out) retreated to Khazar to consider their options.

THE MAKURIA KINGDOM OF NUBIA
Normal Ben Vise, Negus of Nubia, Owner of Dibbles
DIPLOMACY: none
The Nubians prepared for the worst and holed up troops in both Soba and Dongola. The A'ir, that ever present threat from the savanna, struck first at Adulis which was subjected to a scorched earth action(making it revert to steppe). Mitsiwa was sacked. Nothing could be done here. In 1097, the Arab Syrians attacked with the evil Falchid at their head. Falchid died for his cruelty against good Christians. Nubia was spared. The 152,500 A'iri were not impressed. They raided Kassala, causing its rebellion then scorched earth Sennar (so that it becomes wilderness). Now at 1100 AD, they entered Meroe and looted all the public works there. Zizal could only stare at them behind the ancient 50 foot walls.
Vies died while defending his capital. Normal (who actually owns a dibble, though he is not aware that thing is really a dibble) has become the new king.

THE A'IR NOMADS
Biren, Kerker Ranger
DIPLOMACY: none
Sha'un's mighty force of 152,500 galloping madmen left the dull land of Kerkoure and got to the Nile Valley. There, bags of gold, in a pile, were given to them by the Karimid Emir. 'Help me destroy Nubia and this Reward is yours', was the Emir's written message. The Nubians were actually willing to grant free passage (for wihat purpose I'm not sure) but that was revoked once Sha'un's men attacked Adulis. After that a great bounty equal to the Syrian treasure was collected by the sack of Mitsiwa and the burning of villages between the Red Sea coast and Soba. Sha'un died in 1108. The new Rangelord was called Biren.

THE MUSENGEZI OF GAMO-GOFA
Momballa-da
DIPLOMACY: none
Momballa-da dealt revenge on those rebels who refused to believe in Christ. The first of these, Ankolye, fought bitterly for their right to burn incense to nature spirits (and kill bunnies). They lost and were swordpointed to the crucifix. Next on the list was Kikuyu. They also fought hard but since there was on military conversion, they didn't turn out the numberrs. They were pacified and a double garrison was left behind (you gotta do that). Finally to Kefa. After the last two regions, Momballa-ka's army was now equal to the Kefa. Both sides stalemeated for two rounds untio both sides gave up the fight from exhaustion.

THE IDRISID EMIRAT
Yehi the Great, Last of the Idrisids, Emir of Almaghreb and Alandalus
DIPLOMACY: Idjil(f)
Without boys, Yehi consulted a mystic sufi who divined (through mysterious means - though actually this man was a time traveler who could peer into the past and future using specialized video cameras) that Yehi would not have any sons - ever. Yehi would be the last of the Idrisids. To make for a safer continuation, he asked for his eldest and most beloved daughter, Jasmine, to marry the up and coming Prince of Idjil, Aladin. This union was almost not to be because of the machinations of the corrupt vizier Ja'far and his talking tropical bird, Iago. But then a genie appeared and saved the day for all (the genie, by the way, was actually a space man name Mork from Ork. The Mystic Sufi found this out about him and that his race would someday fight nasty battles with genetically engineered Space Marines over the right to mine shiny metallic-blue stones, but that won't happen for a couple thousand years).

DIPLOMACY: none

THE KRITIC EXARCHATE OF GREECE
Zeno, Exarch of Crete, Basileus of the Greeks
DIPLOMACY: none
The Greeks tried their luck in Crimea, but Crimea was still an integral part of hte Pechneg Empire (and was even Asia-Pagan). Zeno himself with 62 warships and 13,500 sailed up the Nile to help the evil Muslim Syrians fight a good Christian kingdom. When there were no Karimids around while the Nubians of Dongola were singing songs praising Jesus for their deliverance (just as the Greeks sang a century ago everytime the Maygars left in frustration), Zeno felt a pang of guilt and left before anyone noticed. Pelles grew to 3 Gpv. Salonika was now 4 Gpv and knocked down their walls.

THE PECHNEG KHAGANATE OF LEVEDIA
Bjorn
DIPLOMACY: Kiev(nt)
The Pechnegs finally got attacked by a horde after so many had just used Levedia as a conduit to invade richer lands elsewhere. The 100,000 strong Black Horde attempted to raid Levedia, but Yikma and the home army stopped them. In the city of Taganrov itself, the Levedians made a stand (for the Black Horde didn't destroy the Pechneg army in the open field like they should have). The city was saved though common people died (the city would have grown, but now it didn't). In 1100, Yikma himself died. His young son, the unhealthy Bjorn was now the Khagan.

Ituval, Grand Prince of Suzdal
DIPLOMACY: Veposkava(nt, revolted), Ilmen(ne)
