THE MINOMOTO SHOGUNATE
Tenno Shilohata, Emperor of Jihpen
Minomoto no Gatahaku, Shogun
DIPLOMACY: none
The Shogunate saw the sinking ship of the Liang as an opportunity to get that juicy region of Koguryo. Well, maybe. The Shogun thought about it. Yumi Shirokawa and his 20 warships blockaded Sunto and isolated the region for awhile. Toyama became cultivated.

THE MAGADANNAM
Wiganlun, Overlord of Hai Ochostk, Protector of the Iceman, Harvester of Cute, Furry Animals
DIPLOMACY: none
Both Wulamak and Lady Mahana perished. Wulamak's eldest son, Wiganlun, was crowned at the young age of 8. Sakhalin and the Kurils came back, both apologized for their larkness.

THE TUNGUS KINGDOM OF PO-HAI
Mau Sing, King of Parhae
DIPLOMACY: none
The trade fleet returned to Sunchua-No with Indian goods for sale. It was a profitable adventure.

THE HOU LIANG ZHONGDI
Lei Qui called for one last mass conscription for 'old times sake' in the city of Kaifeng. 45,000 brave young boys were armed. Lei Qui was then slaughtered by a Foi operative (The basket on his head had a 'Made in Canton' tag). There was a palace coup after that. Niang-Ai crushed the rebellion of Tsua Kang-Zun. Niang-Ai installed Lei Qui's son to be the Ping Di. The marshal would defend Kaifeng's immense wall fortifications. The Tang Emperor Jong Zong was armed with 5000 ballistae and battering rams and fireball bolts with 7000 infantry and 50,000 cavalry to cut off escape routes. The siege lasted for the better part of a year. In the late summer, another Tang army (500 catapults, 25,000 noble cavalry, 25,000 infantry) led by Tao Cao arrived with sores on their feet. Tao Cao was a clever general and a foot doctor (Y'know Dr. Tao's boots). He found a better way to batter Kaifeng without much injury (The headstrong Emperor Fuang-Qu could have waited for Tao Cao to arrive). Kaifeng fell in March 1067. Niang-Ai and Ping Di were caught and slain. The Hou Liang Empire became a historical curiosity. They could have replaced Tang 160 years ago. Tang armies occupied Honan, Anhui, Kiangsu, Hupei and Liangche. Chekiang, Hwai and Koguryo became independent.

THE DA TANG EMPIRE
Fuang-Qu "Jong Zong", 29th Tang Ruler, Emperor of the Middle Kingdom
DIPLOMACY: none
Fuang-Qu captured Kaifeng by siege and toppled the Upstart Liang Empire. 65,000 cavalry, 4000 ballista/catapults and 22,000 ground troops survived the experience. The Emperor and Tao Cao split the armies and pacified Anhui and Kiangsu without much problem. Yangchou surrendered before they endured a siege. Houtao and 750 machines and 20,000 troops occuied Hupei and Liangche and stormed the fortresses in each suffering only small cuts.
Cash was passed to the (somewhat) tributary Kingdom of Burma, the Viceroyals of Foy and the Wheel Palace. The Xi Xias left the country without a bye or leave. They took the Hupei, Anhui, Houma and Pei Huang road to Ordos.

THE KINGDOM OF BURMA
Akalsei, King of Burma
DIPLOMACY: no effect
Akalsei could not bear to see the Rajputs rebounding so well. He gathered his great army and reinforced it with a mass conscription and mercenaries. These smudgepots would be destroyed forever. 12,000 cavalry, 103,500 infantry, 3000 siege and 10,000 condotteiri attacked and conquered Tirhut in 1067. The Vatsans were too preoccupied to react; the Burmese moved on to Jaunpur, occupying the land. Kuru was exacted tribute in 1068. Later that year and all of next, Akalsei occupied Vatsa, stormed Gwalior and trashed the ministery buildings. Kanpur was sacked and burned. Vatsa was scorched earth (so that it became a wilderness). While the king and troops were enjoying their vacation, the Rajput army reclaimed Tirhut by dispersing the garrison there. The enemy moved to Maghada and attacked. While the 25,500 Vatsan were trying to colonize the place, the Burmese force minus some garrisons left behind and minimal losses came to the rescue of Maghada. The battle was vicious but all Rajput soldiers and the seven tribes were destroyed. Maghada was saved. So far away Akalsei was that there was bad communication with the far east cities like Taili, Gejiu and Mawlamyine.

THE COLA MANDALAM

Sujaimul and his troops went to Bihar and demanded better relations. The Bihari balked, suspended their annual tributes and ask Sujaimul to take charm lessons. Sujaimul's troops attacked them and pacified Bihar and colonized two Hindu tribes there. As that happened the Burmese invaded. Sujaimul had to drive a Burmese garrison from Tirhut and then attacked Maghada. The Burmese came back and crushed Sujaimul's army. Sujaimul escaped back to the smoking ruins of Kanpur. The Burmese had stolen Kuru and Jaunpur. Tirhut rebelled. Kamarupa was already hostile. The Rapjut are left with Bihar and Vatsa.

Trade with Gardarike and Levedia was cut off. Those Tang caravans better be good. Ibrahim died in 1070. The palace elders found a distant branch of the family to inherit the whole place. THE IDRISID EMIRAT
Yoho the Barber, King of the Ids, Emir of Almaghreb and Alandalus
DIPLOMACY: none
"To all the Peoples of The Book with literacy sufficiant to comprehend
this missaf.
"We have distanced ourselves from the troubles in Europe, for they are
much akin to the squabble between Shi'i and Sunni. Verily, we advised
our Castillian neighbors to refrain from attacking their Burgundian
neighbors. What wrong had the Burgundians ever done to any of their
neighbors? None. It can be viewed as Just that their enemies have been
scattered before them as the chaff before the wind.
"But a time for these territorial squabbles and internicene rifts is at an
end. In years past, we have encountered "agents" of foreign origin at
work within our sphere. We have kept these discoveries, and some fine
sucesses, as quiet as possible. They were almost always reputed to be
agents of the German Papacy. Recently, however, the successful smashing
of a secret satrap uncovered startling evidence of PAGAN influences!
Bronzed figurines of fat men, golden calves, wooden tokens carved in
the shapes of ottor, wolf, horse and rat. These are signs of Asiatic
influence...infiltration into our sphere by others than the People of the
Book!
"Were the previous reports of Papist infiltrations masks of deceit? Or
does the Pope in Aachen have truk with Pagan Idolitors? Is the strongest
protection of European Faith in the hands of a Deceiver? Or was it these
Pagans all along who were masking their fiendish misdeeds with Papist
traspings, to make the Pope APPEAR to be involved in Iberian intrigues?
Undecided. We have requested that the Caliph appoint a Commission, or
an Independant Islamic Religious Primacy be established to ferret out
the truth, and call for all hostilities in Europe to end, for the two
"Catholic" religions to call a truce, and let us stamp out this seed of
evil before is flashes beyond our control.
"God is Great"
-Yoho, Emir of Id, Berber of Seville, Protector of the Faithful, Rif
of the Shiftas, and all-around nice guy

And to guard against such nastybad influences, the army was pumped up. An eye was kept peeled towards the Sahara in case the rumored Black Tugs arrived. Hedgerows were planted around many cities. Bung accidently dropped a match in one of those glass bottles he carried and caused a horrific blast.

AL AGHLABID EMIRAT AS SIQILLI
