THE MAGADANNAM
Wulamak, Overlord of Hai Ochostk, Protector of the Iceman, Harvester of Cute, Furry Animals
DIPLOMACY: none
Lady Mahana sailed some folks to the Kuril Islands, a place where no one lived. Upon their cold rocks was built the city of Yeandu. Mahana returned home. The distance and the isolation finally got the Sakhalin folks to rebel. Yeandu soon followed suit, becoming a free port. Two more leaders were lost in the icy seas of the Aleutians.
THE TUNGUS KINGDOM OF PO-HAI
Mau Sing, King of Parhae
DIPLOMACY: Shangtu(f), Jehol(c)
Yu did well to get the Shangtu Duke to give all his assets to the Po Hai crown. In Jehol, he was embarrassed when the forest tribesmen accused Yu of trying to steal a berry tree. The diplomacy talks there got rough, indeed. Suifenhe has become cultivated.
THE HOU LIANG ZHONGDI
Lei Qui, Bing Di, Emperor of the Middle Kingdom
DIPLOMACY: none
Bing Di's day was made when 135,000 Tang soldiers entered Honan. The Liang's home defenses weren't as mighty: only 35,000 cavalry and 25,500 infantry. Bing Di lost the battle and withdrew to Kaifeng. The Tang army didn't make any other moves though, but made themselves as unpleasant as an army can be. Another Tang force of 65,000 occupied Tangchou while at the same time 340,500 Xi Xia horsemen crossed the Yellow River from Chilhi to raid Shangtung and sack Qingdao. From 1061-1063, the Xi Xia had their way in every coastal region of the Hou Liang. Tsainan, Kiangsu, Anhui, Liangche and Chekiang were raided. Singtai, Rugao, Guangli were sacked. The second Tang army passed through Honan and conquered Tsainan and Shangtung in their ruined state by the end of 1064. Finally the Tangut horde having bypassed (and left unmolested) Foi lands, raided Hwai and gutted Xiu Shui.
Lei Qui remained in a state of shock inside Kaifeng (while his fax machine continued to fail him). Amidst all the hubbub, Wuhan grew to 7 Gpv.
THE DA TANG EMPIRE
Fuang-Qu "Jong Zong", 29th Tang Ruler, Emperor of the Middle Kingdom
DIPLOMACY: no effect
Emperor Fuang-Qu and his brother Qi-Ging gathered up a force of 50,000 Pao-chi leopard cavalry, 50,000 sappers, 25,000 Fu-ping militiamen, 10,000 mercenaries. They marched on Liang for the Liang had secretly been making cheeseburgers. The battle in Honan was too one sided. All Liang defenders were abolished. There were 18,000 Tang casualties including Fuang-Qu (foot injury) and Qi-Ging (killed). All operations ceased but the fortress in Honan fell to a passive siege. Taocao's second army: 5000 engineers, 25,000 Wu-chi kung-fu knights, 35,000 militia swordsmen, got more things accomplished. Tangchou then Tsainan plus Shangtung were occupied. The fortresses in Tangchou and Tsainan were handily stormed. The Tang armies complained that the Xi Xia horde had more fun. Fuang-Qu's eldest son, Gawa, was murdered. A slice of 'monterey jack' was left by the pillow. Ningsia was allowed to degraded to non-paying tributary. Other prefectures were jealous and wanted not to pay taxes either.

THE XI XIA HORDE (Cherkassy, Tavoc, Tangut, Jark,)
Jehum, Khagan of the Steppe Peoples
DIPLOMACY: none
The Xi Xia crossed the Tang frontier but left the screaming, panicked farmers alone (They should suffer for their fear). The great stampeding horde had made some arrangement with the Tang to loot and plunder the Liang. This mayhem they did well. Their take was almost as good if not better than the India adventure. By the end of 1065, all tribesmen and their six allies camped in Hwai getting free refills on their iced tea.

Kao was built for a newly hospitable Miao Ling.

THE COMMERCIAL ENTERPRISE OF SRIVIJAYA
Sri Suryanarayana II, CEO of Srivijaya, Inc.
DIPLOMACY: none
Rauta was given the A-OK stick one more time. If he failed again, well, he might not survive the canning. This time Rauta would avoid a direct confrontation at the Cliffs of Doom. He landed down the coast in Okora with 17,500 infantry, 2500 cavalry, 5000 mercs on board 32 warships, 17 transports and 10 privateers. The Okorans were well led but their boomerang throwers were exposed. So Okora was pacified by the end of 1062. Having secured a beachhead, the Corporate Body marched to Yampi where 7500 boomerang defenders were entrenched. But the greater numbers blew the naked men away. Srivijayan guards occupied the homeland. A small treasure bag was found. Victory was sweet but Rauta died from koala fever.

THE HIDDEN KINGDOM OF PUNJAB (KASHMIR)
Jangikarna, Hidden King of Lahore
DIPLOMACY: none
Ramachandahni and his force of 26,000 spearmen marched to Sind and pushed the Qarmatian Muslims around a bit until they were pacified. The call for a military conversion to Hindu led to a second more serious rebellion which caused the effort to fail. Buyid observers reported that 11,500 Kashmiri bit the dust.
In 1064, 104,000 Blue nomads crashed through Yarkhand, raiding, and then entered Kashmir itself. Because Kukarsa and his 12,500 knights, 50,000 infantry, 5000 sappers and 10 field forts were present, the raid was aborted. The Kokohul, frustrated, attacked. The Kashmir home force couldn't handle the pressure; their troops were thrice decimated in the first clash. 31,500 men were left (The core of the Kashmiri force) to face 72,500 roaring hordesmen. The Kashmiri fought like wild animals but the Blue Horde was even nastier. In the end, the homeland was forfeit. Kukarsa and his family were slain as they tried to escape. The remainder: Chitor, Himachal, Jats, Jhelum, Multan, Pathan, Punjab, Sukkur, Somanatha, Sursuti and isolated Yarkhand rallied around Ramchandahni who founded a new dyansty at Lahore. Ramchandahni then died of old age and passed on the kingdom to his son, Jangikarna.
The oriental trade mission had already left Mansura and haded to Tanga-Pemba (along the East African coast). 25 Yemen ships blockaded Mansura until the summer of 1065.

DIPLOMACY: Khuttal(a)
Ahmad gathered an amazing force of 10,000 cavalry and 8000 infantry so they could take on the dreaded Uzbek. 7000 Uzbeki showed up and were plastered. Ahmad was too brave in the fray. He was shish-kebobed in the head by a flaming spear. He left no children. Ibrahim may be the last of the Samandis unless he could knock up a wife fast.
A fortress was built in Uzbek soon after its conquest. Shazam wasn't able to convince the hostile infidels of Pamir to become friendly to Muslims overnight (or even in five years).

and- looted the region. After raiding Khuzestan, they entered Fars. The 36,000 men could not regional genocide the place unless the city of Shiraz was captured and Far was pacified. So the troops went back home. Kumis went cultivated in the meantime.
BUYID EMIRAT OF SHIRAZ
Beshir bin Sa'id al Buya
DIPLOMACY: not when they're being pacified
The Emir had not a good time. He and Badri went to Sind to see if there was still any love left there. There might have been some but not for the Kashmir invasion. Beshir found himself talking to himself (or to Badri, who was not a good listener). Theere was another invasion closer to home. The Samoleh attacked and colonized Jibal. They also plundered Luristan and Khuzestan. The rascals even entered Fars, but Achmed Bakilaid guarded Shiraz's 50 foot walls with 5000 siegemen and 7500 infantry. At least Jahrom was rebuilt to 1 Gpv. Chemical weapons might work wonders against the enemies of the Buyids.

Some 48,000 knights rodes to Franconia and met the martial pontiff Purity II with his 10,000 ditchdiggers and 20,000 Papal guards. Purity gave the Magyars some chests of gold. In 1062, they attacked Thuringia and liberated the region. In the following years Saxony was pacified and Holstein's heathens were freed from bondage. The Pope didn't have time to deal with unbelievers. It was the heretics that head to be smote. Truan Hawkcall, Ian Fourrod and 47,000 infantry and 11,000 cavalry were caught napping. Purity spearheaded the attack crushing much of the Jyllig force. The Jylligs struck back taking out all the Papal guards and some of the pioneers. But the first round was a stalemate - except that Ian Fourrod defected to Purity's side. The next round went better, despite all the heavy casualties. Truan Hawkcall was captured. What was left of the Jyllig army was routed. After Alborg fell to a siege, Fourrod rounded up the Jyllig navy and set himself up as an allied king controlling Jutland and Zealand. Satisfied with this new arrangement, Zapolya and Purity II withdrew to Thuringia with 34,000 Maygar knights. All the Papal troops had been lost. Distance from Gaspar's final location, impelled the untruthful Holsteiners to revolt.
