THE AKA'MURRID EMIRATE OF FULANI
Seldez II, Emir of the Fulani, The Philosopher-King of the Sahel
DIPLOMACY: Daza(ea)
The ulami converted Hausa to the Sunni faith. Garou was colonized to (1/5).

THE SHARIFAT OF SENEGAL
The Senegalese began to think to think that they might live free. But that was just a dream. A rogue Italian army led by Romeo Afadulio with 28,500 infantry and 50 artillery defeated Acca's 40,000 swordsmen on the fields of Senegal. These brigands assaulted Barr an Nihayi and killed all the inhabitants. The city was sacked and destroyed, reduced to rubble. That too was the fate of Dakar only months before. The tremendous treasure was captured and was distributed evenly among all the adventurers; the conquering army dispersed. Senegal, Takrur and Gambia are now neutral.

THE SUPREMACY OF TOGO
Elembouko, Supreme Oba of Togo
The Togonads responded to the Kongo invasion byh sacking their government and many of their megaliths and public works to pay for the hire and training of new spearmen. All the armies that King Elembouko had were loaded on transports at Accra , the capital city in Akan. They sailed through the Bight of Benin, completely missing any Kongo patrol, and landed themselves at the beach of Teke.
The counter-invasion was a war of destruction. Elembouko sacked and burned Libraville and looted Teke (already a wilderness, scorched earth had no effect). Then the 40,000 spearmen and 3500 diggers attacked Vili and only had enough time to destroy and bury Port Kachunk. Now all the government rests on the person of Elembouko. While he campaigns in the southlands, Marampa rebelled.

THE BANTU KINGS OF KONGO
Mbelini, King of Ba-Congo
Prince Nashingway waited for Bamusu to reinforce his great army. That took a year. Now with 69,500 leopard fighters and 11,000 rhino roughs, they moved on Togo, the historical homeland of the Togo kingdom. That land was easily occupied and Lome had no walls so it was captured. In 1468, both Nashingway and Bamusu died from malaria. At Boma, Lassa also perished (old age) just before the Togo army could actually besiege him. Mbelini the eldest surviving son of Lassa became king. Refugees from Libraville and Kachunk found shelter near Boma.

THE KRAKAS KINGDOM OF AETHIOPIA
Gobbu VI, Alem 'Elum, King of Aethiopia
DIPLOMACY: Ain Farah(fa)
Mech with some troops, enough to do the job, slammed Kanme and bludgeoned the folks there until they professed Coptic Christianity. Closer to home, a road was built over river by the old rusty chain from Amada to Luxor. A postal road connected Amada to Bani Suwayf.

EUROPE

Western Europe
Mercs: 10mc, 10mi, 10ma

THE SULTANATE OF IEST
Ahmed al Kaffiyin, Sultan of Mahidia
DIPLOMACY: Aswan(nt)
The naval blockade of Aswan ended. Despite the resentment, the Aswan people were bitter about the departure of some of their number of the Indian Ocean. So they accepted Mahidian protection for their army had deserted them. Oran grew to 2 Gpv. Tangier got to 3 Gpv.

THE ALMORAVID EMIRATE OF ANDALUSIA
Istafa (III) ibn Ruda, Emir as Sevilla
Kazmedina, Ar Rokki, Porto and Toledo each grew that extra gold point level. A royal road was crafted going from Sagunto to Barcelona (paid for both by Moors and Franji) enabling more efficient trade with Bilad Sakson.

THE NORMAN KINGDOM OF ENGLAND
Edwin, King of England
DIPLOMACY: Connaught(f)
English navies kept watch on the Channel to ensure no invasion happened. They could not keep the Saxons from doing their shenegans.

THE NORMAN KINGDOM OF SAXONIA
Henry IV, King of the Saxons and of the Normans, Count of Blois
DIPLOMACY: Orkney(nt), Poitou(fa)
Young Henry IV with the advice of the new Prime Minister Havel Rodel decided in the favor of the pleading Flemish merchants and allowed Orkney to go non-paying tributary (leaving a partially completed port city). There was some impetus to make Poitou a crown domain instead. There was some naval reconaissance at the mouth of the Rhine. After some observataions, the Rhine was interdicted, cutting English trade with Liguria. An Imperial road was built from Barcelona to Sagunto connecting to the new road from Catalonia to Sete. Also a highway was built from Angers to La Rochelle. Barcelona and Cologne grew each to 10 Gpv.

THE LIGURIAN KINGDOM OF ITALY
Arturo, Rex Lagobardum
Raphael Tilita and Tomaso Sumio got a sizable army of dragoons, infantry and warships to bring to Italian rule the islands of the Indias. The Great Discoverer made landfall at Ciboney, after making final maps of the sea lane from Madeira to the Leeward Sea. The friendly Indians were slaughtered wholesale, leaving the island uninhabited, except for the detachment of soldiers who were supposed to be the nucleus of a new colony. By 1468, Tilita and his crew conquered Haiti as well (but didn't do any genociding yet).
Lord Romeo Afudulio and Giovanni Szarra took a greater army to fight the Susu, the pesky, obnoxious Susu. He took condottieri horsemen and artillery to help out the mostly infantry force. Upon entering the coastal wilderness, the cavalry became useless for their horses got sick from those deadly insects. When the natives ambushed, the artillery were useful. Wave after wave of native attack were repulsed and it looked like the Ligurians would have control of Susu at last. Not quite. Ser Afudulio had gotten wind of the great treasures of Barrannihayi, the coastal capital of a Moorish kingdom. If he could beat these rugged Susu scum, surely the Sengalese would fall too. Szarra didn't agree so Afudulio rebelled, pulling his rank to keep the army in line. These became a horde of marauders that destroyed two cities in Senegal and became so wealthy from their adventures that they all retired to become petty lords all over Europe.

THE UNITED CANTONS OF HELVETICA
Geralt Kemmelstim, Grand Doge of the UCH
The United Cantons experienced some quiet prosperity until 1468 when Klove Charofsi died. Without much stability, there was a constitutional crisis about succession. The Articles of Union stated that a Grand Doge would be elected by the Ritterrat, but the process of how candidates would be found and qualified was nonexistent. So after some verbal chaos at the legislative assemblies, Geralt Kemmelstim, the chief marshal staged a putsch. He proclaimed that only he would be the arbiter of the Articles and that he would serve as Grand Doge for an indefinite period of time (e.g. For life). The Bakonien frontier regions: Bakony, Croatia, Podravina and Slovakia rebelled. Citherione grew to 10 Gpv.

THE CNORIG COLONY OF NYDANIA
Romer Lightspear, Konik of the Nydans
DIPLOMACY: Esselin(f)
Two Nydan armies moved to crush the Klamath in two directions. The army going north (Romer King and Harald Prince with 5000 cavalry, 25,000 infantry, 500 catapults and 2 mortars) caught two groups of fleeing peoples and an arm;y (28,000 warriors and 8 tribes). The battle in Patwin was a draw but deadly to the Klamath. The Nydans won an uninhabited wilderness that used to be called Patwin. Pomo, too, was abandoned and wild growth have reclaimed the land (ditto for Yurok).
The south army (Thorgrim Ulfsson and Kalf Ingolfsson and 5000 cavalry, 15,000 infantry, 50 artillery, 500 catapults and 2 siege guns) had all the fun. They conquered Serrano and plundered the land. The Serrano hated the Nydans and remained stoutly Native Amerind. Their land was pacified (but it remained cultivated). Esselin was also invaded but the native converted. Redpelt evacuated Klamath and headed over the Cascades to Umpqua, Wallowa, Snake River, Bohogue to Unita. He got some of the government out. One lieutenant, Wolftree escaped to Moache with some loot. He had caught measles but survived. Prince Redbark Moss had evacuated Tomah and Yurok and traveled up the Columbia River, but he was not heard from after that. Rumors did come through that old Lemhi was colonized by Redbark's tribe to (1/8) and that the land was renamed Toma.
Contact with lost with much of the old land. Chumash rebelled. Esselin and Serrano were conquered. Kalapuya and Tolowa joined the Manitowish. Only Mono and Yahuskin remained loyally protected by the Sierra Nevadas. Pomo, Patwin, Klamath and Yurok have been depopulated - all became wilderness.
