Lords of the Earth, Campaign 12H: I can now officially announce that I will be starting Lords of the Earth Campaign 12H this month. Like Lords 9 this game will be a historical start at 1000 AD. There will be about 100+ openings which will be assigned by lottery. I plan two week turnarounds for this game, and because of that I can only accept local (Phoenix area) or eMail players. I will release a Turn 0 newsfax on the Web later this month. If you are interested let me know electronically, in person or by phone. I thank you very much for your interest and support.

DA HUANG WESTERN NAVY
Bo-Ro 'Run Away', Marshal of the Ocean Sea
DIPLOMACY: none
The Abdallids lent what was left of their navy after all the fires and
desertions. But these 85 ships gave the Chinese Navy the slip as they moved
into the Tyrhennian Sea. The Chinese ships too suffered from sabotage and
unrest. Then are only 80 warships left.
THE POPULAR REPUBLIC OF ITALY
Francesco Tornabuoni, President of the People's Republican Society of Italia
DIPLOMACY: none
About 100,000 Muslim cavalry crossed into Italian land alarming the
populace. Tornabouni responded immediately to Savoy and attacked near the
town of Lanzo. Of the 30,000 cavalry, 30,000 infantry, 150 cannons and 5000
siege-men, 16,700 infantry were killed. The enemy lost half their troops including
all their siege. It was a great victory for Communism.

THE HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE OF THE RUSSIAS
Sonya, Czarina of Great Russia, Empress of the East
DIPLOMACY: Vladimir(ne), Zaporozhie(ne)
In the face of imminent collapse, the Russians rallied their forces at home,
inside the fortified Kremlin of Vitebsk. Nothing was done in 1551 to stop the
three Danish armies (the Patrol, the Crusade and the Romans) and the Dutch
army. With the death of Batilnorg, they seemed to be less co-ordinated. The
Patrol: 13,000 elite cavalry, didn't secure safe supply in Veposkava, attacked
Yaroslav but lost it and headed into Suzdal. The Crusade (75,000 men) got away
with the most - stealing Estonia and Latvia. The Romans and their Masovian
auxillery got in a verbal conflict with the Dutch over the fate of Polotsk. The
Dutch having the larger army: 106,000 men, as opposed to the 32,500 Romans
and Masovians got their way. The Dutch would sack the city. The Romans and
Masovians who had previously tributized Lithuania for their Emperor then split.
The Masovians took on Cherven which had a Battery of 75 elite siege engines,
50 elite field cannons and 10 elite mortar cannons. The 5000 Masovian infantry
and 25 Roman guns were waxed. The Cherven Battery moved on to Polotsk in
1552 where in tandom with the Ronin stomped the wileless Dutch whose
survivors joined the Tsarina's side (The other 25,000 Roman cavalry raped the
lands of Smolensk and Starodub sacking both the cities of Smolensk and
Mogilev). The Cherven Battery, the Ronin, the Dutch expatriots, the Dobrujans
southern patrol joined the Roman guard and the Chinese troops (some of their
troops plus their commander went AWOL). When the rumored Muslim army did
not show, the people were relieved. Moldavia became Orthodox to complete
their assimilation in the Empire. Viatka became economically isolated along with
their new silk road possessions. Omskaya and Kaman rebelled.
Zaporozhie and Vladimir needed to be converted to Christianity for future
diplomatic headway in these territories.

Early in 511, Tsainan revolted. This uprising attracted the attention of
General Qian and Prince Zai-Nuang whose forces of about 200,000 crushed the
Japanese inspired revolt and pacified the region. The Japanese were not
through. The infamous Eyini Shegi and his 125,000 elite samurai and 255 dragon
guns attempted to raid Suifenhe. Ao-Zhao and his 142,500 elite cavalry, 15,000
elite soldiers and 150 elite dragonfires stopped him. The Japanese tried to move
to Mantap so Ao-Zhao attacked. The Japanese could have lost this one but they
had used theatrical psychological warfare to confuse and confound their enemy
and escaped back to the steppe. Casualties were heavy on both sides but Ao
Zhao claimed victory.
In the Huang River, Marshal Ber who was a steersman guarded the
confluence with the Grand Canal (Eching) with 200 elite war-barges. So came
the 450 elite Japanese warships and 200 Kumamoto frigates, outnumbering the
Chinese severely. The Chinese had better ship quality, better morale, had
chosen the battle site -and- 250 cannons on board their ships. With the greater
firepower the Japanese were thrown into confusion, often running foul their own
ships to avoid the cannon fire. They eventually fled but lost 270 battle ships.
China only lost 65. It was a great victory which made Emperor In-Do envious of
Marshal Ber. Further rebellions in Shangtung and Kiangsu were also pacified.
