Liang -
[Lo Zhuang, after coming to power wasted no time repairing his nation. First a massive army of Cavalry and Infantry was raised, equipped with the finest and most modern arms and sent out to deal harshly with the traitors in Taiping. Then he repopulated the ghost town of Jinan, opened the coffers of the nations rebuilding lost gardens, run down bathhouses, and dilapidated museums.
A new port city built in Houma named Jiazuo, and a road connecting Jiazuo to Kaifeng was also founded so that merchants and troops can travel faster, should they be needed.
In Pieching, while gathering 400 siege troops, General Wang Badan was killed when some scaffolding collapsed and landed on him, his second in command General Ma Hu took the troops and followed orders.
Ma Hu and the smaller Chinese force entered Shantung in May of 1012 with 8,200 Infantry, 2,800 heavy infantry, 5,200 Cavalry, 400 light Cavalry, 800 heavy cavalry and 400 siege troops. To their surprise there was no military to speak of to beat down, so they garrisoned some troops and continued on to the city of Twang’Zi. Again they found the city defended by only its citizens.
While Ma Hu was doing that General Li Yapeng with his troops of 20,000 of the finest trained royal infantry, 4,000 infantry, 10,000 royal cavalry, and 6,000 cavalry retook Anhui and Taiping without any resistance as well.
When they met in Kiangsu, they found Chow Tsu, and his son working to try to get the locals to join with them. Between the father and son they had 1,000 Infantry and 800 cavalry. When they heard the Liang army has shown up they rushed to safety of Chew T’sang. Hao Worui got in the city with his cavalry and ordered the gates closed before his father could get in. While Chow was getting ready to siege the city the combined Chines army entered sight. Knowing his goose was cooked, and that there was no possibility of surrendering he charged Li Yapeng’s force, becoming the first speed bump in Liang’s history.
Taiping -
[Hao Worui, Chow Tsu’s eldest son was approached by agents of the Liang, while they did offer him power and riches he knew that they were just trying to get him to dishonor his father. The more he thought about it the more he realized that there was no way to remain free, so a deal was struck. Son betrayed father at a critical point at Chew T’sang, and surrendered the city.
Szechwan -
[Mashi ordered that every city be expanded a level to fill the room that was left by the plague.
Many parks were build in Szechwan dedicated to the dearly departed.
Yamato -
{Oda Shotoku began his rule by taking command of the vision his family has had for Japan, and changing it slightly. The cities hardest hit by the black death were repopulated and rebuilt, while many of the cities that survived expanded.
Oda Shotoku adopted the youngest son of Oda Hasimi, and ordered that the older son be promoted to Prince to help in running the Empire. Oda Hasimi’s eldest two daughters were sent to a convent to pray for the lost souls who died from the Black Death.
Many projects were funded to improve the land, but somehow in all the paperwork the location for each and every one got lost, so they were all done in Yamato, making the regions around the palace arguably the most beautiful in the world
A massive celebration of life and the finding of the legendary Katana of Jinmu was held in August of 1011, while officially held in Heian, the whole of Japan itself seemed to celebrate as once. In fact in late 1012 a population boom caused Kanto in Nigata, and Aikai in Kagoshima to both expand a city level each.
Champa -
¤November of 1011 signs of the dreaded Black Death are seen in Champa and Khemer. By January the whole nation is cold and sick. Emperor Taowin, who was in Kedah attempting to undo the damage the last diplomat caused passed away from the sickness within a week Hm’ah who also in Kedah died. In February Minister Chanda Neak in.Haian also died from the hand of death that has been reaching across the lands.
Late in February Emperor Saudakar passed away just before his marriage to Chang Twag, daughter of the warlord of Haian. Both surviving leaders (Prince Van Qui-on and Sophal Moy) headed for Angor, both to seize power and crown themselves Emperor. Much to Sophal’s amazement the people in Angor were eager to crown him king, being the most loved of the two contenders. When Prince Van Qui-on arrived and tried to enter the city, the guards shot him on site.
The end result was the regions of Fujian, Gouangxi, and Nam Pung all revolted. The regions of Nan Chao, Korat, and Annam who sided with Prince Van Qui-on upon his death all went there separate ways, but would not accept Sophal Moy as their king.
Draovid in Mon was abandoned due to the populous dyeing or moving out.
Toowomba -
¤The cities of Bintulu and Kuantan were rebuilt. Sirivjaya and Sunda were also expanded.

Gurjara -
¤Manamar saw the effects of the Black Death hit his nation in September of 1012, first his beloved sister Zankhana caught it, within the week his youngest daughter Princess Udhayamala was dying from the dreaded disease. Soon the once power leadership of the Gujaran empire were all died as well, Ditam Sukbal, Sukam Balpreet, and even Prince Dayalan all died.
Prayers to Soma to help save as many people as possible were offered up all over the nation.
Rastrakutas -
¤The Grand Indernav sent out every available official to build churches throughout India trying to fend off the specter of famine that has been haunting the mighty Hindu church these past few years. He even went out himself to build the churches showing that every faithful follower should be willing to do his or her part to better the church.
In September of 1012 Indernav was sent to his next life due to the hand of the Black Death. Other victims included Slutbum Walla, Hindelbyst Fendalbars, and Hengalbert Fystaltrun. The last remaining bishop was called to take over the running of the church.
An urgent letter was sent north to the Gujarians.
Samanids -
¤The royal road was expanded from Nadavaria to Bombay in Kaling, and then work was begun laying toe ground work for the road to continue into Chela.
Most every small city were expanded just in time for the black death to come along and wipe out the expansion.
Crowned prince RaKah II while in Chela discussing what it would take to get the region to side with the growing power of the Samanid Empire was not feeling so well. After an intense discussion where the local lord agreed to join, but not send any money to the Empire RaKah went to his room and found some black boils on his body. After fighting the sickness he died in January of 1012.
Diploma the renowned diplomat was making great progress in convincing the Raj of Maduria to join the empire died in his sleep late in the fall of 1013.
Pretchi who was preaching the wonders of Hinduism to the heathens in Ava died from the black death in February of 1012. Ahruman who was actively trying to keep infected ships from docking died himself in May of 1012 from the very killer he was trying to prevent.
Bokhara Caliphate
ZDespite loosing his wife, Akdar kept his nation together while the Black Death swept through. The cities of Baghlan, Samarkland, and Parapauja were expanded just in time for the black death to come by and kill between 40% to 45% of the city inhabitants, (including all of the increases), Samarkland and Parauja both dropped two city levels.
The population of Tadzik was impressed with Akdar’s words and leadership.
Buyid Caliphate
vAk-Keem sat alone at a table in his room. He knew he had to respond to the call for the holy war. But he saw no way to get to Mecca without battling the heathens in Baghdad. To attack the Buryat alone would be foolish and futile at best. Sighing loudly he stood up and blew out the candles and headed to bed, conflicted to what to do next. In his sleep Allah granted him a vision as to what needed to be done.
The religious authorities instructed the faithful to enforce the Sharia rigidly where hygiene is concerned amongst all of the faithful. This was not imposed on loyal subjects not yet enlightened, but they were informed that if they choose to enter Moslem areas they would be expected to conform. Scores of troops patrolled the outer regions, keeping outsiders from infecting the nation. This patrolling was even done by Ak-Keem himself.
The Plague did arrive, albeit later then near by nations. Ak-Keem was the first one in his force to come down with it. He issued a command that all should follow his son Ahmed ibn Ak-Keem, and he left as to try to prevent the spread. Later word was received that Ak-keem had died in a tavern in Torki. Not long after Ak-Keem stepped down, The Ally from Khazar also died.
The Capital has moved from New Mecca in Alan to Maura A Small fishing fleet was built in the Caspian Sea, since no is no one to trade with Ak-Keem thought it wise to fish there as opposed to the Black Sea.
Word of Ahmed ibn Ak-Keem’s death reached the new capital in November of 1015. The holy teacher Abdul-Shakurd ibn Ayyub took the regency position for the ten year old Daud. The young nation, fresh from the death of Ak-Keem and the Black Death continued to morn, but the capture of Baghdad was celebrated in many taverns, Mosques and private homes.
Buryat -
nBlack Death Hits – 50%
To the Nations:
Be it known that after many years of discussions, I, Ogozud, leader of the Buryat, decree that our people will honor the god of the Copts and his son, Christus, co-ruler with him in the heavens. The god of the Copts has been proclaimed to us for many years, and it is clear that the god of the world has willed that we also be the bearers and defenders of his truth.
To this end, now that the cleansing of Jerusalem is complete, it is His will that the Buryat rebuild the city and open it to all pilgrims who worship the true God who rules the world. Construction will start as soon as the current wave of God's wrath upon the world is complete, which the prophets tell us will last at least another 5 years. At the time when the refounding of Jerusalem will begin, messages will go out to all believers inviting them to participate in the rebuilding and future glory of Jerusalem, the holy city of God.
Ogozud of the Buryat
The project to convert from clan to an more open society saw many man hours of work into completing it, the change from slavery to a more agrarian economy also say much money spent training people how to grow wheat and corn. The regions of Selucia, Palmyra, Ahvaz, and Fars were re-colonized, as many remember these regions had been enslaved and put to work in the fields over the past twenty years. Many workers were sent into Lebanon and when they were finished cultivating it, resettled that region. All these good deeds however were soon to be in vein.
Ogozud felt pretty good about the conversion, all his leaders and administrators in Baghdad cheered the change. In fact almost all the southern nobles converted without a problem, but like the last batch of problems, the northern regions AGAIN just had to go to war against their rightful rulers.
In Syria October 1011 Hozararduk, who was returning with Gadedamu from the war in Egypt, heard that Ogozud converted he immediately tried to take command of the army (the entire Buryat army by the way), but Gadedamu would have no talk of rebellion and hung Hozararduk for the suggestion. Some 80,000 Infantry deserted in the night, another 46,000 were captured on there attempt to flee and were hung, or beheaded, depending on Gadedamu’s mood when his men captured these traitors.
July of 1013, the dreaded Black Death hit the mightiest Coptic Nation. The death tolls were catastrophic, a full half of everyone died, or was destroyed by the fires and looting. In Baghdad rioting destroyed the ancient market, the last remaining structures from the old Abbasidian days. The cities of Dazgadam and Homs became empty shells from the deaths and the fleeing of the inhabitants. Also dead from Black Death the newly appointed replacement to Hozararduk, and the kings brother as well.
A unnamed government personal was seen heading north, with a package for some unknown party
The Holy War’s (Otherwise known as Buryat vs just about everyone) Buryat vs. Moslems Buryat vs. Norse Christians Buryat vs. Aleppo |
Opening moves
When the Buryat converted to the Coptic religion the regions of Aleppo, Carhae, Diyala and Mosul all rebelled and joined forces to fight of the false Gods of the Coptic church!
March, 1012
Gadedamu entered Mosul to find that they had revolted from the mighty Buryat Empire, and decided to put down these rebellious dogs. The ensuing battle was much more like a brutal mugging then a battle. Gadedamu put to field more then 94,000 troops, while Mosul and the city put forth 7,800 troops. The end result was Gadedamu took out the region
April 1012
Gadedamu moved to the city of Bukkan and assaulted it, with no walls the city crumbled within a week.
May 1012
Gadedamu, still acting without contacting Uzugudim, due to the civil war engagement took it upon himself to convert Mosul by the sword, killing thousands and putting the fear of the Christ into the pagan’s that were once his people
A new wave of poorly trained peasants raised up to try to fight Gadedamu, but like the earlier fights, it was over before it began.
November, 1012
With Mosul now forced to convert to Coptic Christian, Gadedamu turned his eyes towards Bukkan
February, 1013
Gadedamu began the work of converting Bukkan
June, 1013
With Mosul and Bukkan taken care of Gadedamu was able to head home to Baghdad
July, 1013
Gadedamu was sent out to deal with Carhae and Aleppo.
August, 1013
While in Mosul Gadedamu’s troops came down with the Black Death, and spread it to Mosul, a region who will forever refer to Gadedamu as ‘The Butcher". The Army spent two months suffering the effects of the sickness before moving towards Carhae.
October, 1013
Gadedamu troops camp on the edge of Carhae
The combined forces of Ghana and the Idrisids wintered in Ad’Diffah, on the boarder with Egypt

September, 1014
The Moslems from the Buyid camped out in Ahvaz
October, 1014
Gadedamu begins to convert Kulzugur by the sword
The Pan-African Moslem allies camped out in Sinai. After 3 months of discussion it is decided that while some would prefer to head north to the ruins of the holy city of Jerusalem, Mecca was far more important, and must be taken of first and foremost
The combined forces of the Norse Christians wintered in Pamphyla.
March, 1015
Buyid troops enter Hahmar and finds little resistance to there Moslem forces, surprised and thankful to Allah they begin to loot the region
Gadedamu, finished with the military conversion heads into Aleppo, clueless to bold move pulled by the Buyid to the south east
May, 1015
Ibrahim, the general of the Buyid forces, and the now Sultan Ahmed ibn Ak-Keem, turns a weary eye towards Mesopotamia. Sending fast scouts ahead they orders his men forward, sure that they will soon run into massive amounts of troops.
From out of Cilcia a band of fur wearing Norsemen erupt into Aleppo , finding almost no troops whatever. The Norse commanders attempted to order the religious fanatics towards Levant, less then half of the 31,000 listened, the rest stayed and begun converting Aleppo by the sword.
June, 1015
Gaddedamu enters Aleppo and while scouting the regions receives word of the chaos in Hahmar. Cursing the name of Allah, he orders his men to abandon Aleppo and heads at full speed to Baghdad. Aleppo realizing that this may be there only chance to dish out any sort of punishment against the weak-minded and corrupted Buryat Empire, launches a full attack with 5,400 troops. Gaddedamu again swore when word got to him that his slower units were engaged, and almost outnumbered <GM: Siege engineers are great for sieges, but god awful in melee combat>. By the time his cavalry wheeled around to lend aid, only 200 siege men were alive out of the original 4200, while the combat itself was never in question, the time lost in Aleppo came back to haunt Gaddedamu.
August, 1015
The Buyid forces enter Mesopotamia and see only 36 Field Forts preventing them from looting, those forts were destroyed and the troops began to raid, loot, and wreak havoc in Mesopotamia.
The Muslims from Northern Africa capture Madina, and rebuild Mecca
September, 1015
Gaddedamu enters Mesopotamia with 39,200 men, while Ibrahim has 20,200 mostly religious zealots, including some from Persia who signed on for some revenge. Gaddeedamu had the advantage in troops, training, and defending his nation’s homeland, while Ibrahim had better combat skills, Allah, and religious fanatics, as well as the fact that Gaddedamu’s men were tired from the endless combat. Gaddedamu’s first attack was driven back, but both sides sustained heavy losses, which hurt Ibrahim more since he had less troops. What really hurt the Alan’s however was the death of Sultan Ahmed ibn Ak-Keem.
Ibrahim and Sultan Ahmed ibn Ak-Keem were in trouble and they knew it. With more then half there army in the medic’s tent, dead, or still out raiding they knew they could not survive the next push by Gaddedamu. A daring plan was hatched.
The Norse Christians entered Levant, where the remaining 12,200 religious fanatics attacked, looted and burnt down Tolovodim. Later the town of Jerusalem was rebuilt.
The Religious troops of the Norse Christians then formed the Duchy of Aleppo connected by the newly settled region of Lebanon
The Crusaider Kingdom of Mecca is formed.
October, 1015
A dagger slitting the through muffled a cry in the night. The few who heard it, thought it would be best to snuggle a bit deeper under the covers, this was not a night to be out.
The next morning Baghdad’s population woke up to find the flag of the Buyid flying over the capital. Somehow the entire army of Ibrhim managed to get into the city without any alarm being raised, and took over the city. Only King Ogozud managed to escape the city that night.
Gaddedamu along with King Ogozud met up outside Baghdad and begun a passive siege.
Dutchy of Aleppo -
TWhen all the Norse leaders died coming into Aleppo, a young devout religious fanatic took control and formed a new Norse Christian nation, based on the idea that the Holy Lands must be protected by the True Faith, but open to all followers of Christ.
Mecca Caliphate -
vCoby, the outspoken and charismatic preacher from Ghana was choose by the religious troops of the Muslim’s to lead those who would rebuild and defend Mecca as there Caliphate.
N Black death arrives N Europe Troops: 5XI, 2XC, 5W, Aqrs: c4, i4, s4, w3, Leaders: Sven Jarlson (M774) |
On a lonely dirt road in Eastern Europe…
The fog clung to the lands like a damp sheet on the bed, a figure slowly came into shape no more then 30 feet ahead of the band of peasants. As the figure approached details came into focus, he was riding a black horse, a war horse by the looks of it, he was clad in full knights armor, but with no squire and no seeable crest nor flag. As he came to a stop 5 feet from the head of the small group the horses ear laid back and the horse looked ready to bite.
"Tell me neighbor where are you headed in this foul weather"
"Sir Knight we head to Westphalia to answer the churches call to go to war against the barbarians who sacked and burned Jerusalem, surly you are heading there as well?" the peasant’s question hung in the air for a few moments as the knight stared down at him.
"I had not heard the call from the church." The Knight stared off in the distance for a few moments, tightening and then loosening his grip in the reigns. "Which church has called for this war neighbor?"
The peasants looked at the knight with a mixture of fear and uncertainty, "Why the Norse church, Sir Knight. You ARE a faithful servant of the church are you not?"
The knight closed his visor, turned his horse around and galloped off never answering the question
Norse Christian Church -
TFather Elrich sent out advisors and military aide towards the religious crusade in the near East, while sending bishops into France and also into northern Rus holdings.
Snaebjorn, who was lent to the Franks in Germany died to the black death, Reginleif, who was aiding the Rus died from the plague. Halfdane died while in Ile De Frrance building the church, Inga daughter of Father Elrich who had been newly promoted to bishop died from the black death, Rorig died on Dvina river returning from Kiev.
When word of the Red Sea got the church, many wise men were sent to check the validity of the rumor. When they arrived, they did indeed find that the water had turned to a blood red color and all living animals in the vicinity were dead. By the beginning of 1015 the water had turned back to its natural color, but the fish that had once been plenty, where no where to be found.
Many in the church have begun to study Revelations and other Armageddon related prophecies, just in case this is the beginning of the end.
This message was sent to the Buryat
And Our greetings in return,
We rejoice that you have taken the first step towards the ascension of your souls. Perhaps when the legs of your faith have been sufficiently strengthened, you will be able to climb to a higher branch of The World Tree, The Cosmic Cross.
When a true warrior dies, his soul (of which his corporeal form is the mere image), having been judged worthy by the valkyries (those angelic emissaries of The Risen Baldur), is conducted to The Camp of The Champions, situated upon the pinnacle of The World Tree, in The First Realm. There, with the multitude of his comrades, desport themselves as warriors should with the attendant rewards and privileges conferred upon the brave.
Those who are rejected or otherwise overlooked by The Sky-Knights are consigned to an unbelievably dank and fetid realm (and I am for the sake of your sensitivities repressing from my characterization the true repulsiveness and horror of the place) ruled by Hel, Queen of The Damned. The Cowardly, The Ignoble, etc, etc.
When The Risen One's Host is adjudged by Him to be prepared, this myriad will complete the task begun by the last Armageddon. The Lord of The Heavenly Hosts with His Stalwarts at hand will pierce that benighted pit and liberate and REDEEM the throngs of thralls within. It will be the most glorious and conclusive of battles!!! Hel and Her Demon-Guards are redoubtable in their prowess (and terrifying to lowly mortal eyes), but even such as they cannot ultimately prevail against The Hand of The Uplifted Sword, His Silver-Shield Bearers, and His Corps of Champions.
We can only pray with the fervor of Those Who Know that upon that day We will see you among His serried ranks. Amen.
Pontifex Solarius of The Norse Christian Church
Norse -
THrafnkell, ever the center pillar of the Norse Christian faith send just about everything but the kitchen sink on the holy crusade. The only reason the sink stayed was because his wife, the true ruler of the castle if rumors are to be believed said that that was no way on this earth that he was taking her kitchen wares.
Hrafknkell took his men and the religious fanatics first to the Rhine where he joined forces with France and the Eastern Franks, and from there they marched towards the holy land. Along the way Rus troops joined in.
Things got tense when the combined mass of Norse Christians entered Byzantine. With almost 150,000 men Alexander II was caught between a rock and a hard place. Just before all out war broke out, word of the Buryat conversion, and resulting civil war. Now Alexander II was no fool, he allowed the Norse to pass, with a Byzantine approved escort.
Just as the horde of Norsemen entered Aleppo the Black Plauge hit. What happened next was, well, chaotic does not quite work. You see every damn leader of the crusade died. The Religious fanatics here elected to follow a fire and brimstone bible thumper by the name of Hrolf Alfrothul, who believed that all lands near the Holy land must be held and protected by only the ones of the True Faith.
In fact, between old age, black death, and bad ale every leader of the mighty Norse Empire crocked. The only child who survived was the son of Rodgrig (the ex-king of the Danish Empire) and a Norse Princess. However since Rodgrig was much loved no one saw fit to oppose having the child crowned as heir. Until his age reaches fifteen however a grizzled old warrior, and long time family friend Leidolf Sktymir has been appointed Regent
The Black Death was a brutal hit to the Norse nation, who in the best of times was barily able to feed her people. Manchester, York, Birka, and South Hampton were emptied due to wide spread looting and uncontrolled fires.
Uzugudim
Greetings to you too! Now you tell me, how was our psychic hotline to know that the DREAD ONE was dating TWO church going girls? And talk about issues, what's going on in those little hottie's brains, cousins courting the lord who rode their grandmother, like any good horse, into the ground? I don't envy you, but if you must choose between the two, go with the exotic Ethiopian. The Greek is just nuts, she and her friends play with knives in the bedroom, experiment with poisons at home and in the neighborhood, (you should know) and get into your junk and rip you off.,
Good Luck, now we can sit back and wait for the Dark One's Plague.
Hope to hear from you soon,
HRAFNGUD.
P.S. We don't always know what the Pontifix, is saying either. He's been like this ever since he got into the Peach Prairie Fairy Ale and started talking to God
After news of the conversion the follow letter was also dispached
Uzugudim;
As one who has also come out of the mist, I believe the words spoken by the Lord of the Buryat are true and hope that Crusade will become Pilgrimage. Futhermore, I hope all Christians and Muslims will prove their faith and devotion by helping to rebuild Jerusalem into the Axis Mundi, a gateway to heaven on earth, to the greater glory of God! Also, we need to begin a true Holy War VS the Dark Lord and his human and inhuman allies that many of my people, including myself, have seen with our own eyes! The Scarlet Eye in the sky and this Black Death are signs that that our very souls are in danger and this "nothing that naughts" desires us not to be. God bless and defend all the peoples of The Book and may many others follow the lead of the Buryat King and his king.
Hrafnkell, Emperor of the Norse
Kingdom of the Norman Franks -
TKing Henri heard the call for the holy war about the time he realized that after paying his men he had enough gold to pay for one keg of ale a year. So he rounded up 13,800 Infantry, 4,000 heavy Cavalry and the 6,200 Religious troops, and marched to Fredrick’s fort to join with the horde of Norse Christians there for the jaunt to Jerusalem.
The Black death turned the port city of Calais into a empty ruin where only the monks from the Norse church left in the city.
King Henri died to plague while heading into Aleppo. The Religious fanatics of his nation then joined up with the Charismatic Hrolf Alfrothul, and formed the new nation along with him. The national troops, now leaderless followed there orders to head to, and rebuild Jerusalem, where they now sit waiting for orders, so far they have been able to follow Hrolf, but for how long?
Frankish Kingdom of Germany -
TOtto sent his trusted general Karl to join the march to recapture the Holy Land from the Pagans, sending him with 5,000 Infantry, and the 6,000 Religious troops which had responded for the call.
In 1014 the Black death hit the Kingdom of Germany killing King Otto, The mayor of Brunn, and the General Johann.
When Otto died there was a social upheaval less against Otto II but more against the nobles in general, many minor nobles were found hung, or worse burned at the steak. Many of the peasants blamed the coming of the black plague as a punishment from the Almighty Father. To keep the peace Emperor Otto II granted peasants more rights and freedoms then ever before and agreed that all royalty be held to the same laws as those under them.
Moravia and Verona wanted more concessions and left the empire.
Mongolian Horde -
nTagis wondered the steps and grew some, then the plague hit the proud warriors decimating their ranks.
Jargun, Tagis’s eldest son claimed the title of Khan, but the Allied General Okara had other ideas. Okara convinced the troops that he was a better leader and attack Jargun and killing him
Frankish Kingdom of Lyonnais -
WWhen Cedric died from the black he left his son, Ferrau, a mere 13 years old as his only heir. The nation shook, but held together minus Orleans. However when Ferrau turned up dead from a knifed throat all hell broke loose.
Nivernais and Burgundy, seeing shades of the typical Roman back stabbing declared independence, cutting off Champagne causing them to likewise go their own way. The nation, now half its original size declared the ally from Aquitaine its king. , Lovell Douay. Not long after he was pronounced king did the attack come
Roman Republic -
WThe black death hit Italy in late 1014, the Princess Aria, Filippo and Ghiberti all died. The heir, Niccolo died from complication from his treatment Hector , his youngest brother, last remaining son of Ricardo was promoted to heir.
Byzantine Empire -
WAfter the Norse Christians ordeal, was finished Alexander II was looking forward to some nice spiced wine and civilized discussions with his son Andreas. When he entered Constantinople he was greeted with the work of the Black Death. His son was the first of thousands who perished, in fact soon the great emperor Alexander II himself was laid low for the sickness.
The triplets Marozia, Candida and Xanthippe found themselves in the middle of a four way battle for control of the Empire. Marozia was the rightful ruler being the eldest, Xanthippe was being suggested by the intelligentsia for she was widely known to be the brightest of the girls, while Admiral Demostes backed Candida, the forth group wanted nothing to do with having a female as the head of state, however the watchful eye of the police crushed them before they could cause any problems.
The girls were spirited off in the night by there ‘supporters’ one night in July 1013. Admiral Demostes began a bloody blockade and sunk all ships not controlled by forces loyal to him. The followers Xanthippe tried to kill Demostes, but failed, they did manage to poison Marozia, however not enough to kill her.
The loyal forces could not get close enough to the naval units to score a victory, nor could the ships hold the city. Demostes left the city and began a new nation. He went to region of Paphlagonia, which rebelled, and there forced Candida to marry him. There he decommissioned some of his naval units and headed towards Constantinople to finish the job.
With the siege of the city lifted, Marozia did the hardest thing she had ever had to do in her fifteen years of life, she sent a loyal assassin to kill her sister Xanthippe.
She heard the window close, and knew what was about to happen, she was going to die, for her kingdom.
"I know why my sister sent you, and know that you are already forgiven or the act, all I ask is that you do it quick and as painlessly as you can. I am watched closely and checked on often", Xanthippe whispered to the unseen assassin.
She did not feel the blade thrust into her heart, but she saw her lives blood spill out, much faster then she had thought possible. The last image she saw was that of a crying assassin, giving her a blessing
Marozia had just enough time to be raised to Queen, and ordered a few new militias be raised when Demostes returned with superior naval fleet and equal land troops as she had. Demostes began an active siege on Constantinople in July of 1015.
The great city is still in the hands of the Marozia, but things do not look good
The Demeter Empire -
WDemostes,, long having hated the Alexander like of the Empire, took his middle daughter, married her and claimed himself King.
Eastern Orthodox Church -
WIrenicus spent much of the churches resources increasing the churches influence among the nations who followed him.
Bishop Demetr and Bishop Tolbar were both struck down by the Black Death.
His Holiness issued these requests to all nations in early 1012
Greetings to all. As I am sure you all have heard rumors of the sickness that has begun to spread westward from regions unknown to the east. In an attempt to diminish any effects this sickness may bring, please see my suggestions
1. The Eastern Orthodox Church asks all nations to cease all international trading activities.
2. The Eastern Orthodox Church asks all nations to send out navies to patrol the seas with orders to prevent any ships from entering my territorial waters.
3. The Eastern Orthodox Church asks all nations to disperse leaders and troops to various areas, with small amounts of troops. They will be under orders to quarantine any person[s] suspected of having the Plague.
4. The Eastern Orthodox Church asks all nations to post announcements to all my towns and cities that the INSTANT someone gets buboes, they are to be quarantined in their homes, or put in isolation cells until they die or get better. I want to inform that these reaction squads will be especially trained to remove the affected.
Unfortunately these actions, which many tried early on had little effect as far as preventing the spread of the horrible sickness.
Later the illustrious Irenicus, while addressing the faithful near Rome said:
The Eastern Orthodox Church asks that all nations accept the intention of the Buryat to convert to Christianity and to rebuild the Holy Christian City of Jerusalem. The EOC asks that all nations withhold the force of their armies so that the Buryat have time to fulfill their word on this matter. Lastly, the Eastern Orthodox Church asks that, during the course of the Plague, all nations disallow their people to make pilgrimages to the Holy Land.
Rus Vikings -
TLivonia’s last forest was cut down, and land cultivated.
Erick II spent five years in talks with the region of Kalinin, and even married a noble women there, resulting in the region becoming friendly to the Rus Nation. Erick II also managed to learn a bit more about diplomacy.
The Black Death claimed Erick, Sikel, Olof, and the Bishop Sven.
Captain Koall hated this. He was a captain in the navy before a bad stroke of luck ended his career when during a storm the mast broke and crushed his leg. So here I am, he though, captaining a bloody fisher boat. Damn bloody waist of my experience if you ask me.
"Capt’n! I think you should take a look at this", shouted his first mate from outside his cabin.
Koall hopped up and limped his way out the door to see what the heck was up now.
"Now why are you disturbing me now, ya salty dog?"
"Look! The Sea is Red and the fish are dead. What would cause this? Capt’n?"
Koall gazed out upon the blood red sea, and muttered " The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living creature in the sea died"
"Turn the ship around, we must get word to the church of this!"
Dutchy of Poland -
UPoland sat tight and weathered the Plague. Jal was expanded just in time to see Jal shrink a level due to deaths. Some military increased spending has people worried about support costs soon.
The Black Death came, but to the surprise of all the death toll was far less then the nearby neighbors, only killing 1 in 4 people.
Iberian Celtic’s -
zCump and Kynner were sent to Lyonnais to remove them from the face of the earth, for the great sprit had informed them of the evil ways of these people.

Idrisids -
v"Warriors of Islam...We embark on a mighty adventure, a great opportunity for Allah...we Hate the Pagans, the sackers of the Holy Cities of Mecca, Medina, and Jerusalem. Pagans are evil and must die, for the Glory of Allah. Mohammed, may his name be praised, would expect no less! Indeed, this horrid plague has come to us as a sign that we must avenge the Pagan Atrocities! Now, we will spread this Black Death to the heathens.
This we MUST remember: we have no quarrel with Believers. Remember the Quran: we should respect and commune with fellow "Peoples of the Book." Treat them with kindness and compassion. Only draw your sword, and thrust your spears, at those who attack us.
On this Holy Jihad, we will cross many Muslim lands. Greet our fellow Muslims with open arms. Excite their religious fervor, Allah be praised, and invite their warriors to join us. this will include Libya, Ad’Diffa: later Jordan, Fatra, Hijaz and others. May our ranks swell with Allah’s Mighty sword!
If, in our Holy Cause, come across blonde haired warriors, from the distant north, they are also on a Jihad, which in their tongue is called a Holy Crusade, against the very same hated Pagans, who have sacked the Holy Cities of their Christian Faith. They are fellow "Keepers of the Book." We have no quarrel with them. Indeed, we are on the same righteously-ordained mission.
If we meet no warrior Pagans, we may be able to march all the way to Mecca. We will then rebuild our shrines, restore the Kabbah to it’s glory, and complete our life’s work in the Hagg.
ONWARD...March On, March On to Victory. Allah u’Akbar!"
Akeem worked on surviving post plague by dropping regions from high control to lower control. All leaders were called in to Fez to assist in the day to day running of the government.
Late in October of 1015 Akeem was awoken, again, by the crying of his three new daughters, all less then a year a part. He wondered down to the kitchen to grab a bite to eat, there a dusty, tired courier approached him.
"Sir! We captured Mecca, and the religious troops have formed a new nation. We were unable to get them to secure Jerusalem first, however they plan to expand the influence of there nation that way in the coming years"
Akeem, pleased that Mecca has been rebuilt, and that the Muslim faith had procured yet another nation, gave praise to Allah and headed back to his bed.
Sunni Primate - v
Ali, Allah’s chosen, Arm of the righteous
Diplomacy: Fez (CA), Awlil (CH), Sicily (CH)
The teachers and clerics of Allah made some progress in converting the heathen Eastern Orthodox population of Murcia to convert to the one truth faith. Some villages threatened bodily harm, so they were left alone, on this trip.
The Plague killed Mustapha Othello, Jami al-Athir, and Khali el Falafel, all who had been sent out to oversee the expansion of the church.
Boliafna -
dPrince Phil II, heir to the lion’s throne managed to convince his father to turn away from slavery and begun the length process of becoming guild based. While many of the old school followers complained, many believed that this was a much needed position to take for the Primate of the church.
After Oscar announced that he headed to Dongola to preach to the heathens there, which was an utter disaster. Me managed to inflame the pagans, who in return burned him at the stake. While that seemed like a good idea at the time they did not know that Oscar had been infected with the black death, and roasting him caused a massive outbreak. The end result is Dongola is hostile towards the Coptic Faith, and degraded to tributary.
Ghana -
vToby is sent with all haste to Sogahi with orders to assist the Roman Catholic church pack, and ‘help’ them back to Mali held lands, likewise the church in Sudan is moved out as well. Soon after Toby returned to Ghana he developed the Black Death. Soon the heir Toadboy died, but to be honest there was more of a cry of relief as opposed to a cry of sorrow over his death. He was known to have the tact and guile of a donkey, and bathed about as much as a stray cat does. His eldest son was promoted to the position his father once had.
Unlike those to the North and East, Ghana only saw a death rate around 33%, much to the relief of Chaka.
Coby lead the Ghana troops to Mecca, so loved and revered he is that the religious troops demanded that he take the position as the defender of Mecca, which with some reluctance he took. "I am a true follower of Allah, but I am also a loyal citizen of Ghana. I must follow the path Allah has laid before me, but I do so with a great sorrow in my heart"
Moli -
URefugees from the jungles of the south-east Africa appeared in Benin and asked to join Moli.
Wazi died from the Pluage in Oyo. In fact Moli suffered the least deaths from the sickness. Rumor has it that this is a sign that the Catholic religion is indeed the best form of Christianity, and that the sickness was sent by God himself to punish the unfaithful.
Faya Empire -
UTaka in Luba became a ghost town, New Jerusalem and Jabara both who were expanded a city level this turn, saw those increases wiped out because of the sickness.
Sailors managed to learn more about how to handle a ship in the sea. Not bad considering Faya WAS a horde not that long ago.
Catholic Church -
UJohn Paul ordered the overzealous monks who setup churches in Songai and Timbuctu to go to Zerma and learn humility in the forests there.
John, noticing that his monks were looking famished ordered the church to only focus on building where conditions were ripe for farming, lest the monks go hungry. The only exception to this Nigeria, which was expanded to a level 6 city in order to promote the glory of God of course.
The Black Death almost passed without notice until the Arch Bishop of Zaria, Father Richardo was found dead in the confessional. A missus Abebi Sroda was the last known person who had confessed her sins. After questioning she was released, however rumor has it that she can not look a police inspector in the eyes after informing them of what she confessed to the goof father. The rumor involves her husband, a bed, and, well no one ever seems to finish the story.
The running joke now is someone finally found a sin that could kill just by speaking of it.
Nguni Empire -
uShaka died and his son took over, damn black death.
Temple of the Goddess -
uSomehow, the Temple of the Goddess was spared from the Black Death, but alas not from famine. In an attempt to fend off the specter of death Mary Kate ordered every monk she had (who all happened to be in the holy city) to get out there in Herero and populate it.
While that did increase food production, it did not prevent famine. Mary Kate informed her mother, Queen Bubbles that for the time being the church will need Auum to supply agro.
While many longed to build in the motherland, it was discovered that there was no way they could control any holdings in the motherland from Bubbelicious. It seems Mary Kate is not as gifted as her mother is as far as administrating a government.
A unknown cave
"Fools!" she hissed "Success in one assignment, yet unable to bring me my prize. Who has enough power and knowledge to close the doors? Unless…"
She strode out from the shadows making her way to the back reaches of the caverns, making a sharp turn, touched the wall, and waited for it to open. She descended the stairs, and then walked into the pentagram and begun the summons…

©Striped Feather turned his roving nation away from the Great Snake river, and headed towards the great mountains, but for what reason, no one seems to know.
Cibola -
©Sand Shark continued work on the royal road leading from Big Bluff to Angle Valley
Auum -
uBubbles was blessed to be the first nation in the new world to receive the Plague. Unlike the first Plague, which almost destroyed Auum, this bout was far less brutal, in fact many of the younger men and women have renamed the Black Death as the "The Light Stomach Flu"
The Illustrious Queen Bubbles passed away in her sleep, from the look on her face she may have been died while in the middle of a horrible nightmare. Princess Ashley, the younger twin of the Primate Mary Kate (GM: I don’t name ‘em folks) was crowned Queen in the summer of 1012
Chianna, the last of the Auum leaders in the ‘New World’ (Afrika), stranding the entire Auum navy, was the first to die from the Black Death. The transport that left Bubblicious just before Chianna’s death arrived in Bummberland, in June of 1015, bringing the plague to the America’s. Arin, who was at the docks that day to oversee the unloading of trade goods, was trampled to death from the stampede of people trying to escape the ship which brought the sickness. In fact there was enough hysteria in Bummerland to cause every living person to either die from the sickness, or leave the town, leaving it a ghost town.
Maya -
©Chichten Itza saw many new parks and other pubic works installed, greatly improving its claim to being the most beautiful city west of India.
Late in September of 1015 the Black Death arrived from the south. Nobunga and Tamaaulipec died from the sickness while out stumping for support for Tlaxcala II. The cities of Monte’Alban, Tula, were reduced to a ghost town from the deaths.
In a deep Cave, who knows where?
She wore her frustration line a fine silk robe. As she paced back and forth it seemed to sweep behind her, almost palatable. As far as women goes she would have been described as exotic; skin pale beyond reason, almost white, her hair black as midnight with a single streak of gray starting about an inch above her left temple, her eyes a smoky gray as well. She was fit, and strong, but these were only physical traits, her true abilities, well the man’s mind shied away from that. Too painful to remember his failure and her punishment.
"I will ask you one last time before I send you to your damnation, who and what sealed the European nexuses?"
The ‘ma
n’ chained to the wall lifted his bloodied and bruised face to look at the women “Dişil şeytan you shall not gain what you wish from me, your evil magic can not force me to speak"The women gave a slight smile "You are correct, however once your dead your spirit will not be able to resist my control and I shall learn what I need that way"
Before the man had any chance to say anything else she pulled a knife from her robe and in a swift arc plunged the green blade between his ribs and a upward angle and pierced his heart.
The man in chains became a blurred figure and slowly his body passed from this world. The man let loose a sharp intake of breath "Surprised you didn’t it? A very useful tool, but think long and hard about the price before you try to steal it. The Blade in some way is rumored to be alive. My magic protects me from its corruption, You would soon become its slave should you use it. You are dismissed for the evening your prompt procurement and retrieval of the package has lessened my anger with your previous failure, consider yourself lucky. See me in the morning, I hope to have more info from his soul as to what has happened"
