Siberian Celtic Tribe
- z
Valtrix, Chieftain on the Lost Tribes, Tamer of Siberia
Diplomacy: None
Valtrix oversaw the expansion
of the cities of Vix to a level 7, Cherix to a level 5, and Stowich to a level 2 city. Ochosk saw many new oak groves planted as well as
paved walk ways around and through the Groves.
Conrix, the crowned heir,
fathered 3 boys
Liang - [
LoPan, General of the Heavens, Destroyer of Steps, King of China
Diplomacy: Ta-Ting (F), Huang (F)
Always weary of the
hordes, LoPan ordered a massive great wall project to be built. This wonder of Chineses Technology travels
from the border of LuAn and Hsiung-Nu, along the BaoDing northern border, into
Yun, then following south protecting Shansi, Huang and Shensi.
The huge coffers of
Liang opened wide and massive royal roads where
built to increase trade within Liang. A royal
road was laid from Shensi to Nonan, then over a newly built bridge into Hopei. From Hopei roads where built to Yun, through
Shansi, to BaoDing and to Yen. Another
fork from Honan went south into Anui and then west into Hupei.
The regions of
Fukien, Ganzhou and Kiangsi were also cultivated to make room for more rice and
bamboo farms.
Princess Lo Hua was
married off to Duke Hao Hai Tse, which was very well received in Huang as they pledged
themselves to the Liang cause fully now. Prince
Lo Hung was blessed with the birth of a son in 999AD.
With all the good
there was some bad events as well. Minister
Tsun Ming was found brutally murdered and almost beyond recognition. The investigation into his death found one odd
report from a local drunkard who reported seeing Minister Ming being attacked by a huge
water lizard. The Empress Xi-Chow died in
child birth in late 996AD
Szechwan - [
Xi-Chang, King of the noble Szechwan Empire.
Diplomacy: None
Xi-Chang grew tired of his
gardens and ordered them expanded so that he may enjoy different trees and flowers.
Chow LoDing journeyed
through the kingdom that will be his when his father dies and saw the following cities
expand: Xi-Pung to level 2, Weichou to level 2, and Koueichou to level 6.

Yamato - {
Oda Heijo, Light of Heaven, Ruler of the Seas
Diplomacy: Kuriles (Colonized to 1GPV and this Friendly), Luzon (NT)
Saka Lenji spent many years
discussing the benefits of joining Japan to the lords of Luzon who agreed to follow but
not pay any money just to get some peace and quiet.
Champa - u
Emperor Taowin, Leader of the Champa, Lord of the South Pacific
Diplomacy: TaiLi (F), Lingnan (F), Lingtung (A)
Like many other
nearby nations Champa saw the expansion of a few cities: Angor to a level 6, Kwangcou to a
level 5.
Taowin was trying
to get a handle on ruling and making a name for himself, but his aunts, Tifa and Diva,
were always trying to tell him how to rule like his Father Qui-on. Being family he could not just cut off their heads
or send them off into the jungle, although he was tempted more then once to do just that. Late one night as he and his young wife were
soaking in the tub inspiration struck.
Taowin,
why are you so stressed? Your Aunts
again?
Yes my
love. They just wont stop interfering and contradicting my orders; I am my own
man, not a copy of my father, Taowin sighed wearily
Well the
talk of the Court recently has been that many noble families in the north have unmarried
men of their ages with nothing to do. You might be able to kill two birds with the same
stone
Taowin did not
let her finish that though.
Although his aunts
did protest, it mattered very little for the court sided with the young Emperor. Tafi and Diva were married off to the 2 highest
standing noble families in Lingnan, and his sister Maura (who he had found was taking
lessons from their aunts) was married to the royal family of the Fou family of Lingtung
Sophal Mury died
Toowomba - ¤
Kanar of the Fishermen
Diplomacy: Sarawak (EA), Jambi (F), Singapore (Claimed), Johor (T)

send out his trusted advisors to go forth and gain more land for the nation. The Government managed to grow to handle managing
the newly procured lands. The cities expanded
to increase the flow of trade goods to both India and China, Singhasari expanded to a
level 4 city, Sunda to a level 5, and Sirivjaya to a level 8.

Gurjara - ¤
King Manamar , Ruler of the Ganges, Heir to the Gupta Empire, Protector of
Knowledge
Diplomacy: None
It was a sunny Thursday morning
in April of 996AD when things started to go bad. King
Varunrajak was found dead in his study. A
single small stab wound looked to have been delivered to his back, and into his heart. His son, Manamar, who if truth be told had managed
to make many enemies in Gwalior, quickly took over and launched an investigation into his
fathers death.
A seamy bar in the old part
of Gwalior
I tell you, Inderwar,
if we kill him we would be able to each take a half of the empire. I have some clout with his royal guards and can
get him alone, however I need your contacts to help us pull it off. This is the same ingrate who on a whim had
you
I told you to NEVER
bring that up again, Parmsuk! Inderwar hissed venomously. You are right. Together we can succeed where
alone we would fail. Lets talk about this in
a more secure location.
Manamar was alone in the same
study his father was killed in, going over tax records and other horribly inane papers,
when Inderwar was admitted into the room. Before
Inderwar was able to say a word the young king pulled a Sword from beneath the papers and
sheathed it in Parmsuk's chest as he sneaked into the room via the secret door that
Manamar had found the day of his fathers death.
So the vipers who
killed my father had come to finish me off as well. Too
bad for you that I have the gold to ensure loyalty, which you both do not. Manamar
slowly pulled his blade from the pain-wracked Parmsuk. I would offer you a chance to
surrender Inderwar if I thought you would be wise enough to accept, but since you
aren't... GUARDS!
With all the deaths and
confusion, the regions of Kutch Island, Nepal, and Dhera-Dun revolted, Jats degraded to
Tributary
Not to be outdone by other
nations, massive amounts of energy was spent to build up the cities of Gurjara; Somantha
grew to a level 7, Banavasi to a level 4, Kalayani to a level 4, Kayla to a level 4, and
Karach to a level 2. A new infantry division
was called up in Edrosia. Much talk was heard
about the possibility of trying to extract revenge on the Buryat but it seems those where
just rumors.
Rastrakutas - ¤
The Grand Ramitep, Finder of the Weird, Teacher of the Hindu Way, Savior of the Gurjara
Nation
Diplomacy: Jaipur (CA), Bhopal (MN), Kollam (CA), Karachi (60% Hindu)
Ramitep focused on
building the larger key buildings enabling the church to reach farther out into the dark
world and bring the Hindu religion to all people.
Samanids - ¤
Rakah King of the Turkish Hindus
Diplomacy: Mon (F), Pegu 35% Hindu
Rakah ordered a
huge trade fleet to be built; a total of 325 large galleys were built and put into service
to help promote trade within the Samanid Empire so all the people can enjoy all the items
made in Saminid. Two large bridges were
build in Palas, over the Lower Ganges and the other over
Brahmputra, and a royal road was laid connecting Nadavaria and Palas.
In Mon Diploma was
able to talk the locals to join the nation fully. Prechi
made a good push to spread the Hindu religion in Pegu.
Bokhara Caliphate Z
Akdar Almas, Caliphate of Bokhara
Diplomacy: Trans-Oxania (T), Ferghana (F)
The process of rebuilding began
in earnest. Bokhara saw a massive amount of
parks and roads built to increase traffic and taxes.
Leaders were sent to Ferghana and had tremendous success, while Akdar himself went
to Trans-Oxania and despite 5 years of hard works only managed to get the local lords to
pay a small amount of tribute his way every few years.

Buryat - n
Ogozud, Terror of the Sunnis, Sacker of Baghdad, Get of Satan.
Diplomacy: None
Ogozud was standing on his
porch overlooking the hustle and bustle of his mighty city, admiring the civilization he
and his family had brought to this lawless land. Then a guard leapt at him trying to push
him out of the way of the arrow that was fired from the streets. While the guard managed to save Ogozuds life
the arrow still managed to wound the king, causing Ogozud to only have partial movement of
his left arm. The arrow shaft seemed to be of
French or perhaps Norman make, while the arrowhead could have been from either location. In fact the heads origin is a mystery at the
moment.
Dzulugz enslaved the
populations of Bostra & Edessea without a problem, however in Armenia he hit a snag
named Sulan ibn Alzem Tahin. The Local Lord had been a strong ally of the once
mighty Abbasids and still had many families who remember the good old days, even
possessing Abbasidian arms and weapons. (GM note: Just so no one feels short changed the
story is: the Abbasids had Armenia as an Ally and gave them lots of troops. In the DF,
Armenia went independent and kept the troops which is why they are here now, still.)
Dzulugz had 50,000 cavalry to
Sulans 5,000 Bow, 5,000 Cavalry and 30,000 (once highly skilled, now average) foot
troops, terrain and surprise on their side. Sulan
chose to ambush Dzulugz in the pre-dawn morning of June 3rd 998 not far from
the village of Farkin. In the hours
before day break many infantry dressed as the slaves that Dzulugz had in tow (a total of
7,500 slaves), and about an hour before daybreak Sulan attacked. Duzulugz had received a last minute message from
the Minister of Intelligence to be careful while on his raids, so the guards were not
caught unprepared as Sulan was hoping for. The
fake slaves quickly freed the real slaves while the bulk of the military was engaged. While Dzulugz had more numbers, the wilderness
that they were fighting in made it very difficult to get the Cavalry fight in the small
packs the Armenians were using. In the end he
ordered a retreat to regroup. 23,000 Buryat
Cavalry died, and the Armenians lost 5,000 Bowmen, 2,000 horsemen and 6,500 infantry. In the retreat Dzulugz was captured.
Prince Kuzudim fared much
better. The regions of Elburz, Shivan,
Tabaristan, DashKavir, and Khvor were all enslaved with very little troops lost.
Ghani bin Saleh Al-Fulani, a
Alanite merchant was found dead behind a bar in Baghdad in the winter of 998AD, causing
many Ogozud a bit of a headache with the Alan authorities.
Alan
Caliphate v
Ak-Keem, Caliphate of Alan
Diplomacy:
Ak-Keem spent many resources improving the way his government runs, and saw
much improvement.

Tagis Khan, Descendent of the Great Gingis Khan
Diplomacy: Ludgoria (NT), Wallachia (NT), Bokony (NT)
Tagis continued his massive
campaign of raping and pillaging, hitting Thessaly, Attica and Morea. In fact while in Morea the allied leader from
Suzhou was killed by a pitchfork wielding peasant. Verona was raided as well, and Bavaria
was Pacified.

- T
Rorig, Prince of Wales, Enjoyer of many Soft, Pink, French Peasant Girls, Raider from the
North, King of Britain, The Conceited
Diplomacy: None
Robert of York died
after a trying a new beer sent up from Rome. London
and Sussex as well saw many public entertainment items built, the new craze seems to be
Sheep tossing, something those who live in the highlands seems to take great offence to.
The Frankish holds of
the Norman Empire joined Henri when he revolted because of the merger with the Norse.
Gwenned, Ulster,
Lowlands, and Highlands also revolted from the Normans before they merged with the
Norse.
Norse Christian
Church - T
Father Elrich
Diplomacy: Paris (100% converts to HC), Flanders (50% Norse Christian), Friesland
(100% Norse Christian)
Father Elrich spread the word
of the church in northern France and gave support to the Norse in their attempt at merging
with the Norman Empire..
Norse - T
Hrafnkell Hrolfgarson, Lord of Amlodhis Quern, Dragon of the North, Drinkers of
"Genius" Beer, The Grim
Diplomacy: Norman Empire (A)
Hrafnkell bent his enormous
will and the effort of his entire nation to just one goal: to merge with this brothers in
England. Many beer kegs were brought along as
well as many smooth talking diplomats, not to mention his daughter Sigrun who was known as
the 'Rose of the World'.
After 4 years of drinking,
eating, and general mayhem the deal was struck. Rorigs
heir and only son would wed Sigrun and would become a prince of the Norse, in return all
lands that the Normans own would ally with the Norse
One night at the high Table
We'll try this again,
Dad. Offer them the carrot, not the stick! It will be better for all concerned. Knut
said, trying hard to fight the urge to lean over and slap some sense into his Father.
Yeah, yeah son! I'll consider it and you can tell his
transcendental glory he may be right. But,
you need to get out of school like your brother Swegen and experience life, do something. Be, not just keep becoming.
Also Beer would be
better then any carrot, and I prefer broad swords to sticks. There are two of the five Bs, rambled
Hrafnkell
Yes, alright Pop, I
know, Sighs Knut, and the other three are Beef, Bread and booty.
Thats right my
boy, and theres more than one then one kind of boot, wink wink, nudge nudge, say no
more
Please dad
Groaned Knut
Oh! Thanks for reminding me. Hrafnkell now
yelled Hey Fjordane, Angus! Frenchy
just sat down between you, please kill him now and I'll owe you 5 gold, and a pint of my
best beer.
At this point the poor
servant made a run for the door, but he did not make it that far.
Ya know his scream
sounded much more Roman and LESS of a froggy one
Yeah, Dad but he
croaked just the same
Kingdom of the Norman
Franks - T
Henri, Duke of Ile de France, Leader of the Free Normans
Diplomacy: Ile de France (HM), Anjou (EA), Brabant (F), Flanders (A), Ponthieu (A),
Vermandois (T)
Henri and his son
left London soon after the announcement was made. With
him were a small group of nobles and beaurocrats who while they have no issues with the
Norse per say, but they sure didn't want someone from another nation ruling over them. When they landed in Flanders they found that Ned
II, the lord of Flanders, had revolted. Together
they all road into Ile de France, where Henri was born, and started setting up a new
nation.
Frankish Kingdom of
Germany - U
Sebatian, Duke of Verona, King of the Germans
Diplomacy: None
Sebatian watched in horror as
the Mongolian hoard, much like the Wudan hoard had done in the past swung up into his
nation, pacifying Bavaria, but not the city within. Letters
for assistance were sent out to the Norse Christian church seeking any sort of help the
church and her members may be able to lend in this time of need.
Frankish Kingdom of
Lyonnais - W
Cedric, Heir to Charlemagnes Crown
Diplomacy: None
Cedrics first job was to
build a capital which was build on the Gulf of Lyons around the ruins of Narbonne, and was
named, surprise, Narbonne. Much effort was
places in increasing the value of Lyonnais the region as well as increased spending on
troops.
The raid from the Vikings never
arrived, which was expected, which has the nobles very worried indeed.
Roman Republic - W
President Ricardo, Head of the Senate, Restorer of Glory
Diplomacy: None
A quite lazy
Thursday in July of 997AD all hell broke loose. The
Government office of Intelligence started on fire. To make matters worse the main entrance
was closed because of some remodeling that was being done that day, leaving only small
side exists and windows to escape from. In
the aftermath it was learned that over 1,000 intelligence officers, advisors, department
heads, and a few janitors (just trying to make a living ya know?) lost their lives in the
blaze. It was later learned in the
investigation that there was in fact no remodeling that was scheduled to happen, and those
who where supposed to have been doing the repairs where nowhere to be found.
Another tragedy hit
less then a week later, more then one third of the senators died from a poison that was
tracked down to a banquet for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Liver
Warts. The frog legs were later found
to have been the poisoned food.
Thanks to good
investigations the city guard the found that these crimes where linked by the description
of the same 3 men. They later did find the
room that those workers had stayed in. Maps
of the complex, pages of documents on how to mix Greek fire, a book labeled
How to Poison Frog Legs and a letter signed by the Byzantine Department of
Foreign Affairs stating that should they succeed a large payment of gold would be waiting
at the usual safe house.
The village of
Vieste grew into a level 1 city in Spoleto.
Byzantine
Empire - W
Emperor Alexander II, The Handsome, Defender of the Faith, Ordained head of the Orthodox
Church
Diplomacy:
The letter found in a Roman
tavern has indicated that the Byzantines may have had dealing with those suspected in
burning down a government building in Rome and poisoning Senators, leading to a
international scandal. While Alexander was
forced to deal with all the court intrigue and foreign ministers from Rome demanding to
know what was going on, the country side was being pillaged by the Mongols.
The long time family assistant
Herodian passed away at the ripe old age of 81 in 998AD while manning the city walls, on
the lookout for the Mongols.
Gordain, fresh from being
declared crown prince, tripped over the royal pet (a Poodle named Ixtaranious, or as the
royal family called her, Mopsy) and took a spill down the steps, rolling into a weapons
rack. The funeral was touching, Mopsy was
laid to rest with the heir she killed. Gordian's
young wife, Golayius died in child birth 7 months
later, however the triplets (girls) managed to live (GM note: First set of triples in
L7 history - GM wife note: OWIE!!!)
Easter Orthodox
Church - W
Irenicus, Ordained head of the Orthodox Church
Diplomacy: None
Irenicus, the Arch
Bishop of Constantiople, was elected as the new head of the church.
Rus Vikings - T
Ragnar, The River Raider, Wolf of the North
Diplomacy: None
While hunting in 997AD Ragnar
was tossed from his horse and fell into a pit, landing on his head. A month after receiving the wound Ragnar passed
way. Erick was crowned King.
In Novgorod a huge memorial to
the great Ragnar was built on the lake.

world, Merchants of the West
Diplomacy:
Prince Mulay Ishmail lead a
raiding party of 25,000 heavy cavalry hitting the Lyonnais Kingdoms regions of
Languedoc and Aquitani. When the troops of
Lyonnais started to catch up with him, he left and sneaked into Gascony, raided it, and
then hit Navarre.
There was a massive city growth
program started by Akeem. The following
cities where expanded: Mostuganm to level 2,
Paoli to level 2, Madirar to level 3, Merrakesh to level 4, Cordoba to level 4, and Fez to
level 8
Sunni Primate - v

Boliafna - d
King Alex, Truth Seeker, Crossroad of the world, Chosen by God.
Diplomacy: Brandy (CH), Omansi horde block (H)
King Alex Builds a Church in Brandy! This should be the first thing sailors and
visitors see upon arriving to our great land! The
throng cheered ecstatically.
The Brandy shipyards continue to build
at a feverish pace to keep up with demand.
Prince Bahboo sails to Jerusalem on a
religious retreat.
And the top story,
King Alex unanimously is elected to the
post of POPE, by the Coptic leaders.
Alex continued
sending the priests out to the far reaches of the empire and converting the people. In the north the Sunni city of Ezurum now has a
population of 35% Coptic, and the city of Eirvan is at 20%.
Down in Madagascar the Hindu city of Reichtag is up to 53%. The churchs first structure, a church, was
raised in the new addition in the city of Brandy. In
Saan Alex himself spent 5 years preaching to the nobles and managed to convert 99%
of the ruling class to Coptic.
Brandy, the
ever-busy crossroads of trade was expanded yet again to try to handle all goods that flow
in and out of the city, now a level 8 city. Flacon
was also expanded to a level 3 city.
The regions of
Yemen, Asir, Aswan, Suakin, Djibuti and Berbera where raided for slaves. However when Philemmahn was getting ready to
gather slaves from Zufar in September of 998AD things went a little crazy. The Boliafna Empire has a long history of slave
raiding and when they landed they made camp for the winter allowing the Muslim
nomads to gather their forces during the winter.
When the Slave raiders attacked they quickly found they where outmatched.
The Battle of Al Ghaydah was quick and bloody. Philemmahn has no clue what waited for him (GM:
The Dice where NOT nice to Boliafna) he had 5,000 Infantry, 500 Heavy war ships, 990
war ships and a few Transports, the Omansi minor hoard had 13,500 light Infantry, 27,000
light Horsemen and 13.500 Cavalry. Philemmahn
knew he was in trouble as soon as he and his men saw the horsemen start to appear. He ordered a full retreat before combat had even
begun, but the light horsemen were able catch the Boliafna army before they were able to
get back to the ships. Every infantry was
killed including Philemmahn. The Horde then
made its way into Aden and razed it, leaving the walled city alone, and headed back north
after tossing insults at Alex and his mother over the walls and leaving the remains of
Philemmahn outside the city with a note:
You seem to have
lost this, please take it back. Its
face scares the dogs. If you try anything
else up here we will not leave the city alone next time.
A small scandal broke out in the church when word
reached the masses that Coptic regions where being slave raided by the order of the
holiest man of the church. In Faxum there has
been, so far, peaceful demonstrations calling for the end of using fellow Coptics as
slaves. No official response has been issued
by Alex
Toometaman died in
a botched Slave Raid on the Coptic region of Kosti.
Prince Bahboo was
sent to the ruins of Jerusalem, where he was detained by the Buryat secret Police. He is currently their guest in a
plush, yet barred room.
Alex also spent
gold training troops for his ally in Hova Merina, and ordered him to take the new troops
and collect some slaves to help spruce up Brandy. The Regions of Transskei, Phalaborwa, Karanga,
Gorongo, and Melela where raided for slaves. The
Tribes who tried to stand up to the raiders where nowhere near as lucky as the
Omansis were in the Arabia Peninsula and where beaten back every time they tried to
defend themselves.
Ghana - v
Chaka, Caliphate of Africa, Chosen of Allah
Diplomacy: Tusyam (NT), Marampa (NT)
The city of Malog
in Galam was converted to the way of Allah. A
royal road was build from Ghana to Khalem.
Toadboy secured the
royal families future by fathering four sons.
Abiwamba was sent
into the forests in Tusyam to try to secure the tribes to side with Ghana. Now Abiwamba was a nice guy and well liked, but he
has proven himself rather ungifted in the
ways of diplomacy and many feared for his life, however he was outrageously successful
getting the local lord to listen to Ghana in the future, but no money would be sent to
Kumbi-Saleh. He also managed to get 3% of the
Tribal leaders to convert as well.
Cody secured
Marampa as well, but he was much more likely to succeed.
Like Abiwamba he managed to convert some of the lords, but he was better, 8%
followed him to Allah.
Moli - U
Talen, King of the royal Ivory Throne, Knight of the Catholic Church
Diplomacy: None
A new royal road
was commissioned running from Zaria in Hausa, through Nupe, over the new royal bridge to
Duran in Oyo, and from the other end of Hausa a road was built running through Jos, Daza,
and to the lake city Ngazargumu in Kanem-Bornu.
Talen also took the
time to issue a censuses to see just how many bow before him. He needed more hands and toes to count that high
so he and his wife went about adding kids to the royal family. Two beautiful little girls where born to them as a
result of his hard work at his arithmetic.
Faya Marauders - U
Paul, Bringer of Revenge, Lord of the Lake
Diplomacy: None
Mathew was found dead in his
bed in early 996 a victim of old age, or so it was thought at the time
His grandson Paul was crowned King.
In late 998 the city guard in
Mombassa, acting on a hint, raided some warehouses in the dock district and found evidence
that the royal cook may have in fact poisoned Mathew.

Abraham, Bringer of Peace
Diplomacy: Kwararafa (ch), Ife (ch), Oyo (ch), Nupe (ch), Soro (ch), Akan (ch),

Bubbles, Queen of South America, The Learned On, High Priestess of South Armenia
Diplomacy: Querrandi (C), Charrua (C), Uruguay (C), Guarani (C)
Minuane was colonized to a (1/5), and the City of Bubblicious was expanded to try to handle the booming trade that the old world has.
The capital was moved from Odette on the Pacific coast to the city of Bummerland on the Atlantic to try to make sure that the new holdings in Africa stay in range of the Queen. The barren regions surrounding the new Capital where claimed for future projects.
The Queen's twin sister, Bambi was declared to be the High Priestess of the Faith. She declared the new city of Bubblicious as the holy center of the faith. (GM note: Hmmm, it will be many years before the church can build anything in the homeland because of CCR, hehehehehe GM wife: BASTARD )
Less then a month after the glorious promotion Bambi was found strangled to death. The roll of High Priestess passed to the Queen, fueling rumors that the Queen had her own sister killed to gain more power.
999AD was a bad time for the Auum nation. Prince Satan and Lt. Cap'n' Crunch died in Bubblicious, leaving only Prince Harry, the Insane. Left with no one watching him he declared himself King of the Herero Empire. He ended up being chased out of town by the loyal subjects, but he did managed to gather some support from the military and he went forth to build his nation (GM note: Insane leaders have a negative modifier to all rolls, and a -5 DP on the city earned him the boot GM Wife: HAHAHAHAHAHA)

had withdrawn to Tamaulipec she had died.
