After a talk with Thomas, I have found that yet again I was wrong. When
your King/Queen/Heir Rules, their 4th stat (The all important hidden stat)
is added to your Infra level. The 4th stat is between 1 and 10, so you
do not get 100%.

to be built/trained when you achieve tech level 5 or greater, this represents
how well your troops are versed in combat
Holy Troop:. Holy troops must
be used in combat with the target religion., they can not sit around.

Chosun felt the hand of time moving against him, early in 940AD. He set into motion a series of society changes to change from Feudal based to a free society. Many of the lords and generals mumbled unhappily about losing their superior status to the peasants and merchants, but there were no rioting or outbreaks of violence, yet.
In 942AD Chosun did not awaken, and his trusty Lieutenant LoPan took over the country, in a somber ceremony after the funeral of the late Emperor. After a few weeks it seemed that the gates to hell had been opened. In the city Pienching a temple dedicated to evil gods where found, and the followers there killed many people while managing to escape out of the city, fleeing to the north. In the region of Shentung, much the same happened, but many of the worshipers were killed, it was then noticed that all of the dead had a tattoo of the sun setting on their chest. About the same in LoPan found that some of the members of his government also had these tattoo's. The lucky ones are still in prison, refusing to answer any questions, the unlucky ones no longer have their heads attached to their shoulders.

Oda Hiroyuki spent his time as he usual doing, running the government from his capital. Heian was expanded to 5 GPV, but they forgot to rebuild the walls when they finished. The Kings brother spent his time searching out strange rumors in the country side of Yamato. Unfortunately he found what he was looking for, from the branches above him a creature dropped down, he was able to give a very short scream before he was killed, mere seconds after they heard the scream his guards found him dead, sliced open much like a fishermen guts the fish, the only they heard was some strange clicking, it almost sounded like speech.

Angur and Hwan both died while practicing swords-menship, many people could simply not believe that they accidentally killed each others. Freya and Franz were sent to Maine for a mission of great importance. While in Maine Freya and Franz found a cell of the so called Knights of Paul and routed them. While trying to catch the leader, in the confusion Freya was killed and the leader of the group was caught. Franz was so distraught that the whole region of Main was enslaved and marched to Ile De France. During the march the leader of the group killed himself by taking poison of some sort.

The Norse brought back the army that Henrik himself lead to the homeland of the Ligurians, his son, Crowned Prince Roland started laying new plans to free his father when word of his fathers demise reached him. Upon hearing this he reached for a letter his father had written for him, only to be read if he were to have died.
Son, if you read this I must be with God in heaven. I feel it important to let you know why we launched this preemptive strike against Liguria. This was an act of Justice, not only because he takes pride in breaking Oaths, but also because he lays claim to lands that are not his without consulting Norman Law. Herjolf watched his father and the bulk of the army leave the Norse lands on a mission to teach King Sid II what honor is about, all Vikings know that their word is a promise, that if you could not be trusted to keep your word you were not fit to live. Suddenly he had a sinking feeling that he would not see his father alive again.

Herjolf awoken, and yet he know this to be a dream, he saw Odin and Thor welcoming his father to the gates of Valhalla for his reward for dying with valor in battle against the evil Ligurians. Odin's voice rang out in his head 'Herjolf do not turn your back on the true religion, repent and oust the evil one known as the Eastern Orthodox.'. The next morning he found that many of his advisors had dreams much alike this. He then requested to have some of the ministers of this new religion to visit him and his court to find out what this new religion preaches. While they were there the remains of the Norse Army and Navy returned from Italy with the corps of Gunnbjorn Hrolfgarson. The funeral has held by the priests of the Norse Christian religion and many nobles converted over peacefully. The conversion has raised tensions and many fear a civil war may break out soon.

Matthew was sent Latium to convert the old capitol of the Catholic, which be meet with success, now the majority call themselves eastern Orthodox. He also started building an Abby, but someone burned down the frame in the night, and Ligurian plunged into war, so the project was shelved until later.
Paul journeyed to Franconia to try to convert the remaining Catholics in Europe and had a small amount of success. Phillip and Samuel sailed to Andalusia to help the Umayyads grow strong in their new found faith, while Jacob went to Granada to try to convert the Muslims, he was chased out with spears being thrown at him.
On 943AD Father John II passed away in his sleep, and later that year his successor Harald also died. After many debates Andrew was promoted to the top of the Church

It seemed to him that the whole world had gone to hell when the Ligurians come into power, so it was reasonable to assume that after they were removed the world would go back to normal.

Sid III marches to Burgundy to try to add another nation to his fathers realm, only to discover that Burgundy is devoid of human's, upset and befuddled he returns home in failure.

Lieutenant Blaucher and the Feudal Ally from Saxony of the Eastern Franks crashed into Verona, the eastern Franks army consisted of 3,500 Heavy Pike, 30,000 Light Infantry, 47,500 Wudan Horsemen, 22,000 Swords men, 5,500 Heavy Cavalry, 5,000 Archers, and 3.000 siege troops. In Verona the un-lead 25,000 Cavalry tried to flank the Eastern Franks initial charge, but without the leadership of an leader their lines of communication fell apart and they started fighting troop my troop, quickly being slaughtered by the better organized and more numerous Franks.

King Sid II finishes his diplomatic mission to Rome and returns to Ligueria
Heir Sid III enters Verona the battle was quick and brutal, ending after 1 month when Blaucher took an arrow in stomach and the Feudal Ally took a mace to the back of his head. A able bodied veteran quickly saw that without the leadership these men gave all was lost, he ordered a retreat with the Cavalry standing ground to allow the Infantry to retreat. After it was done the hillside of Verona was covered by 36,500 dead Ligurian forces, and 44,000 dead Eastern Franks.

King Sid II heard about the repelled invasion of Verona and sent a messenger to Verona telling Sid III to fortify and defend Verona, since it would only make sense that the Eastern Franks would try another push into his country. He also picked up the 25,000 Cavalry from the Tuscany garrison and moved to defend Liguria from any other attacks from the Franks.

Both combined militaries sailed into Palermo and were joined by the Idrisids army (85 Warships, 35 Light Warships, 85 Transports, 10,500 Infantry, 11,000 Religious Infantry, 1,000 bow men, 3,000 Siege troops)

The combined army, a little uneasy with each other, despite the 4 months of drilling together set sail with a total of 11 leaders including the King of the Norse, the King of the Rus, the King of Norman's, and the Queen of the Idrisids to Ligueria

The Allied forces run into 100 Heavy Warships of the Ligurians lead by Lieutenant Cheu, he lost 90 Warships and only sank 10 Light War ships of the Allies, he retreated to inform King Sid II of what he saw.
March 944AD
Cheu docked in Wudan City and ran to inform his King of the navy that had set sail from Sicily. Kind Sid II tried to do some math, failed, and called in some of his royal bean counters to help. After discovering that these Vikings and Muslim force outnumbered him by almost 4 to 1 odds the way thing stood. Messengers were sent out to all leaders to come back to Liguria and pickup all troops as they did. King Sid hoped that it was not too late.
June 944AD
Somehow the combined army managed to unload without being seen and attacked to Ligueria tributary. The combined army added up to 500 War ships, 400 Light Warships,10,500 Heavy Infantry, 54,000 Infantry, 11,000 Screaming Muslim's armed with swords, 9,500 Bow men, 8,000 Siege Engineers, and 5,000 Cavalry. King Sid II had 25,000 Cavalry to his command, remembering the dismal defeat from his first siege of Rome he know that Cavalry do not do well in sieges, and assumed the same would be happen in a defense. The battle was fairly short, Sid II kept engaging the enemy, killing a few, and loosing more then he killed, and falling back. By the time he got to the gates of Wudan, he was down to 1,000 men, he was the only one to make it into the gates. Gunnbjorn Hrolfgarson , The King of the Norse was injured in the battle, loosing his left eye from a slash of a Cavalry. King Sid II was not happy but he hoped that he managed to buy himself the time he needed to have the rest of his army into Liguria
July 944AD
Prince Chai returned to Liguria from Rome with a stop in Romania to pick up 25,000 Cavalry to enter the fray, at the same time Sid III returned from Verona with 31,500 Heavy Cavalry. The Combined Ligurian army managed to charge into the rear of the Allies camped troops as they were planing to start the siege of Wudan. The Allies lost 29,000 men in the first week, while the Liguarian's lost a total of 36,500 troops. The Queen of the Idrisids, Fatima died in combat and a Lieutenant, from the Idrisids ,Abd al Rahman was captured in the first month also. King Sid II exited the city in darkness and joined his army to try to destroy these people that would dare attack him. The next week did not go well for him, his left flank overextended causing him to call a retreat, his son Sid III lost his right hand in the retreat, he managed to kill 14,000 of the Allies, he himself lost an astounding 23,000, the only bright point was that Gunnbjorn Hrolfgarson was killed from an attack from his now blinded left side, causing the Norse troops to head home to try to solve the brewing trouble there (See the Norse). Tiring of the extrened combat all troops grew a bit sloppy in the third week, the King of the Norman's was captured by the Ligurians and the Ligurians retreated into the city, loosing another 11,500 men, while only killing 4,000.

The combined army (Now totaling 6,500 Siege, 3,000 Bowmen, 30,500 Infantry, 250 Warships, and 285 Light Warships) stood outside the city of Wudan trying to figure out what to do. Only Viga Brand, the King of the Rus, was left alive or free of the 4 rulers, where there was 11 in command positions, there were only 6 left. Viga Brand convinced who was left to start a passive siege, instead of the assault that was originally planned, since they were now lacking most of the grunt work to succeed in an assault.
September 944AD
A unnamed Lieutenant, who was in Switzerland, passed through Savoy and picked up 25,000 Cavalry entered into Liguria, and made a Bee line for Wudan. The initial charge was brutal, the Cavalry charges through the Infantry and slaughtered all the siege troops, the Allies broke and retreated to their boats. 18,500 Ally men were killed and only 4,000 Ligurian troops died.
Aftermath
Liguria still holds what it did in Italy, although now poorer and in military shambles. King Henrik died in his prison cell in 944AD after being tortured for information, while they hold in their prison's, an Ally leader of the Norse, and a Lieutenant of the Idrisids.

Arslan decided he needed to catch up, since the Avars were active 300 years ago and changed the names of his leaders and nation to be more historically correct. Aslan sneaked through the regions that once were inhabited by the Samanids, and found, much to their delight that most of the regions had reverted to being steps. All went well, until they got to their destination, Und. There they found that it was cultivated, no matter thought Arslan, I have enough to pay troop support. There he and his mighty band of men passively siege Peshawar, after they surrendered, the happy Kyrghyz's sacked the city, and roasted dinner in the flames of the city. Later in 944AD they started hearing rumors of a wealth country to the south on a river named Ganges.

The Nation mourned the loss of Queen Fatima, but they also rejoiced since she is now enjoying the blessings of having died in a Jihad. Ibn Maruq wanted to fulfill his Queen's orders to attack the Al Murabit, but after the Ligurian battles he did not think he had enough troops.

In order to try to cut costs the regions of Darfur and Ennedi were granted their independence and the region of Ankolye was degraded to Non-paying Tributary. In an effort at peace the Saffarid's sent a daughter and gold to Phil, Phil was amused if not completely won over by this act.

Byzantine lands in Egypt with 10,000 Heavy Infantry, 10,000 Light Bowmen, 8,000 Siege troops, 32,500 Infantry, 15,000 Cavalry, 5,000 Elite Cavalry, and various ships.
Axum enters Thebes with 10,000 Heavy Bow men, 38,500 Bowmen, 10,000 Cavalry, 27,500 Pikemen, and 7,000 Mercenary Knights. Much to everyone's surprise there were no signs of any troops, and Phil quickly subdues the populous into paying his nation gold
August 941AD
King Dassen of the Oghuzvid's did not fair well in his first attempt at combat. August started with 4 assassination attempts on his life, but luckily all were foiled, although he lost 2 food tasters, a squire, and his favorite steed, 'Cartiphilus' for a bolt. King Dassen with 15,000 Light Cavalry, 276,500 Cavalry, and 73,000 Heavy Cavalry watched as the Byzantine army marched towards Ermenic. Seeing that he had outnumbered them by a little more then two to one he ordered a charge. The carnage was awful in the first charge Dassen showed that he was indeed not a military genius. After the first week, 36,500 Byzantine soldiers were killed, and 114,500 Oghuzvid's were dead, Dassen took an arrow in battle, and was trampled his horse. His Uncle, Akhar took over on the field and retreated his men to fall back into the city to regroup.
September 941AD
The Byzanties worked on subduing Egypt when Akhar started counter attacking. While the Byzantine's did well because of the ineptitude of Dassen, they still lost most of their armies. The battle occurred inland where the boats of the Byzantine's could not help, Emperor Cartiphilus and Lieutenant Lucidicus had 10,000 Heavy Infantry, and 32,500 Infantry versus Regent Akhar and 276,500 Cavalry. Akhar planed well and unleashed his revenge while the Byzantine's where going leaving a wooded area, the Byzantine's were slaughtered to the last man, and Lieutenant Lucidicus was beheaded by the soon to be Kings Shamyl, while only 11 at the time, he managed to show that while young, he can still uphold justice.
Phil, after subduing Thebes marches on Erivan, to his continued amazement there were not only no troops defending the city, but there were no walls! To save time, and because there was no reason to waste time, he charged into the city and claimed it as part of Axum.
October of 941AD
Prince Zabibi unloads his troops in Attica, they consist of 5,500 Cavalry, 11,000 Heavy Cavalry, 2,000 Bowmen, 1,500 Light Infantry, 16,500 Screaming fanatics, and various boats. Unopposed they pacified the region without a loss.
May 942AD
Phil and his bunch of merry, and slightly richer, men entered Faiyum with some degree of fear that perhaps their so far good luck would turn for the worse. It held out, there were no troops what so ever to fend them off.
Zabibi orders his men to kill everyone in the region.

Buryat assults the city of Erzinjan, sacks it and then burns it.

Phil entered Egypt with 10,000 Heavy Bow men, 38,500 Bowmen, 10,000 Cavalry, 27,500 Pikemen, and 7,000 Mercenary Knights, to Regent Akhar's 271,500 Cavalry. While Axum had come up with a brilliant plan to help win the battle, there were just too many Oghuzvid's soldiers, each and every Axum troop died, another 30,000 Oghuzvid Cavalry died during the battle, most before they even know what was happening. Regent Akhar took an arrow to his leg and was crippled for the rest of his time helping.
Zabibi and his band finish killing everyone in Attica, and head north to Thessaly.
Buryat's enter Levant and find Lieutenant Zabir with 30,000 Light Cavalry, 72,500 Cavalry and 30.500 heavy Cavalry. The long standing 'friendly' feud between these two ex-hordes erupted in a blood bath unseen, all of the Oghuzvid's troops were killed while 50,000 Buryat troops were killed. Lieutenant Monke was killed by an arrow through his eye.
August 943AD
Zabibi and his army attacks Thessaly, with no Byzantine army in sight.
Buryat loot Levant, assault's Jerusalem, sack Jerusalem and is about to set the holy city aflame.
October 943AD
With Thessaly firmly under his control, Prince Zabibi begins the bloodshed anew by starting to kill everyone insight.
October 944AD
Thessaly, like Attica is barren of life with the exception of Prince Zabibi and his troops
Aftermath:
Oghuzvid lost Thebes and Faiyum to Axum, Levant, and Petra and now in the hands of the Buryat, Attica and Thessaly are reduced to 0/0 and city of Jerusalem is sacked.

Mandela enjoyed the peace and quite that his region of Africa was blessed with. He send a spy out to try to find Faya Marauders, only to come back saying he could not find them. The regions of Kano, Ikego, Sokoro, Kreda, Kurfie, and Asante were slave raided for a larger labor pool.

The Unnamed King passed away in 942AD, leaving his likewise unnamed son to rule the nation. The city of Chipti was formed on the banks of the upper Snake River in Chippewa. The regions of Ottawa, Huron, Wyandot, and Tobacco were raided for more cash.

Prince Xidar and Pharlap were sent with some slaves and cartographers to check out a strange cave in Pucara, no one returned. The strange staff that was found was sent to the University, many heated debates have been had but nothing for sure has been found out. For the first time in a while most of the leaders where not killed or burned at the stake, there was much rejoicing.

Tzextec grew bored of laying around his city watching every other country do things. Lenca, Huetla, Tlapocoya, and Culha were all pacified into giving tribute to the Mayan's. A Port city was built in Achi, and a postal road was built connecting Sonconusco in Yucatec and Uxmal in Chontal.
