Northwestern Europe

Mercenaries: 10mi, 4mc, Leader: 956

Scotts

England is currently split between 3 nations, too many people in too small of area. Who will unite England under one flag?

Anglo-Saxtons

The Anglo-Saxtons have just within the last 200 years migrated to the Eastern banks, already they have been pushed off the shores by the invading Danes, think they resent it, just a little?

Danes

With the recent population explosion at home, the Danes have taken to raiding for gold, to the dismay of the rest of the Europeans.

Norse

The women at home have been demanding more jewelry from their

poor husbands, thus driving them to raid for them, or else being chased away from home by the frying pan.

Sweeds

People just won't stop breeding, with the population growing by leaps and bounds. With the successful raids of their neighbors, they have jumped on the raiding bandwagon.

Western Franks

With the death of Charlemagne, the Holy Roman Empire was split between his three sons, within 20 years the Central Franks were split by the Western and Eastern Franks. The Western Franks have their hands full between trying to hold themselves together, and defending against the raids of the Vikings, and the infidel Islam in Spain.

Leon

Leon is slowly being wiped out my the Umayyads, how long can they hold on without help from Rome or the Western Franks?

Burgandy

After the Central Franks where absorbed by the Eastern, and Western Franks, Burgandy was all that was left. Thanks to the intervention of the Holy Church, Burgandy has remained a state, but for how long?

Eastern Europe

Mercenaries: 7mi, 12mc, Leader:763

Eastern Franks

With the Central Franks out of the picture, the Eastern Franks have discovered that money can be a good thing. Currently they are trying to fend off the raids from the north, with very little success.

Moravia

Aren't doing a whole lot, other then watching the Vikings raid the Franks, and giving thanks that they go not have much on the coast.

Bulgar Empire

Lots of land, not alot of value. Looks like this is what happens when a hoard decides to park early.

Holy Roman Church

With the advance of the Islamic faith, and the Roman Empire split in half, and the heretical Eastern Orthodox, the Holy Church is wondering how to save the poor flock of soul.

Italy

Slowly, but surely, more and more of Italy finds itself under the rule of foreigners, can Italy keep herself as her own nation?

Byzantine Empire

The only Christian nation to so far hold itself together, so far, but what will happen when the money will not buy off the Islamic people? Or if Rome were to turn the rest or Europe against them? Much to worry about for this Emperor.

Easter Orthodox

Until recently the Byzantine Empire held control of the church. Now they are separate, with the exception of the fact that the only church funds come from the Empire.

Rus Vikings

Recently the people of Kiev offered the thrown of their small country to the Rus Vikings from a little farther north. Of course the offer was taken. Much raiding has been done on the Black Sea, and the Mediterranean for cash, perhaps now they will settle down, and expand peacefully?

North Africa

Mercenaries: 7mi, 12lc ,Leader A78

Idrisids

One of the smaller Islamic countries, yet one of the more important, historically they would go on to convert all of the sub Sahara to Islam. They currently, along with the Umayyads, control who leaves into the Atlantic.

Aghlabids

The Aghlabids have been slowly working their way across the Mediterranean, to the shores of Italy, and the other coastal states, taking any island the land on.

Tulunids

The Tulunids have been kind of quite as of late, just kind of sitting on what they have, waiting. With what they own, it has people scared.

Axum

This small Christian country has so far, been basically ignored by the large Tulunids, just up the Nile from them, for how much longer, though?

Heart of Africa

Mercenaries: 7mi, 4mc Leader 784

Ghana

Before the Islamic nations came, there existed a mighty trading empire, know as Ghana, and here they are. Nearly all of Africa traded with Ghana, what they said, pretty much goes.

Moli

Thanks to a lot of trading with Ghana, the Moli also rose, although they have always resented how Ghana gets more respect. Perhaps some day they will show everyone who is the real king of Africa is.

Akan

A fairly rich nation, partly due to location, and partly due to piracy.

Middle East

Mercenaries:9li, 7lc Leader 7A5

Abbasid

The Abbasid's have slowly been pushing the Byzantine Empire back towards Constantinople, and converting the newly acquired territories to Islam. Lately they have been having some conflicts with their Islamic brothers of the Shi'a domination.

Saffarid

The Saffids have been moving towards India for the last 50 years, converting people all the way. They are having some conflicts with the Sunni Islam's in Abbasid.

Samanids

Samanids, tucked away off the Aral sea, don't have much contact with many people, but they have seen, or rather heard, the coming of the Ghuzz.

Ghuzz

The first hoard of the game has risen up, out of the fields of grass, all wonder if they are planing to move into their neighborhood.

Sunni Primate

Leading the larger population of Muslims, the Sunni's are wondering if it would be best to clean their house before enlightening the rest of the heathens of the world of Alah.

Shi'a Primate

Smaller then the Sunni, but even more ridged. They are right, so who cares what the incorrect thing? Alah has said that those who die in a Jihad would surely be rewarded. Maybe its time to correct the incorrect's belief.

India

Mercenaries: 6mi, 5mc Leader 886

Gurjara

After the collapse of the Gupta Empire, three kingdoms attempted to reunite themselves, with their kingdom as the top dog. Gurjara has the biggest piece, but are having problems keeping what they have.

Rastrakutas

The Rastrakutas having the western coast has turned to heavy trade to drive their expations, and their military. With most of the neighboring areas under others control, they may need their military.

Chola

Having the souther tip of India, they have alot of work ahead of them, at least their economy is better shape then their Rastrakutas counter parts.

China

Mercenaries 11mi, 9mc Leader 8BA

Champa

Once they had lived in China, but when China began to splinter, they moved south. Alone in the southern part of Thailand, they don't need to worry about the wars that plague their cousins to the north.

Later Shu

Second in size, behind Liang, the Shu's have a chance at the putting China back together, and being in the middle helps, or does it?

Liang

Liang, holding most of the northern parts of China, seem to be willing to let whatever happens, happen. Perhaps they will stick to this view for awhile longer, or perhaps they will take a more active part in the battles for supremacy in China.

Wu

Wu, who always seems to be stuck in the middle of things, from 300BC, to present day is, yet again, in the middle of everything yet again. Will they manage to stay alive in this game?

Nan-Han

Nestled on the coastline of southern China, Nan doesn't seem too interested in trying to take over China. Perhaps they are more interested in just trying to keep what they have. Lately they have been raiding the coastal areas of the other Chinese nations.

Yamato

In Japan, the Yamato's are trying to convince the northern nations that they would be happier joining theirs, but those barbarians just don't seem to agree.

Min

As the smallest nation in China, they really don't like what might be coming, nowhere to hide, and little, if any, chance to survive if the big guys head their way

Yanzhi

A small hoard, turned nation on the silk rout into China, no one seems to pay them much attention, and perhaps that's the way they want it.

New World

Mercenaries: 8I Leader 773

Hopewell

A city-state type of community had sprung up off the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers area. Away from everyone else, what will they do?

Anasazi

A trible group of farmers in what is now New Mexico, they sure grow some mean maze.

Mixtec

A small community in the middle-south of Mexico, not as large as the Maya, or Zapotec, but in the future, they become a force to be dealt with.

Huastec Maya

In about 6ooBC the Maya's had split, the Huastec now run most of the eastern coast of Mexico.

Toltec

The Toltec have just recently migrated into the area around Mexico Valley, displacing another empire.

Tiahuanaco

In southern Peru, around Lake Titicaca the Tiaahuanco now live. In the future their descendants beget the mighty Inca's

Zapotec

The Zapotec Empire has slowly been loosing its strength, how much longer can they remain together?

Maya

The Maya's are just approaching their peak. What steps will they take now?

Moche

Further north in Peru the mighty city-states of Moche are at the peak of their empire, with no one near, with the possible exception of the Tiahuanco, who could cause them to fall?
